So any shotgun I use requires me to hold the trigger to fire but then keep tapping to continue. If you do it wrong, the shot animation restarts and or starts the animation of shooting but doesn't fire. I looked for a setting on shotguns but there is nothing

ur using the wrong set up for it tho. theres a way for the reticle to "fold in on itself" with a laser making it dumb accurate with hipfire
