I had to tweak this quite a bit to get it to post, including adding the moving background which I'm not a big fan of, but that's you tube for ya. Thank you for watching!!

putting the character of eddie haskell in is far more important than people think. it was no accident. They could not have a cheesy flat series one dimension with flat bland parents. It would not have lasted. They had to put in some bad guys. Eddie Haskell enters. fake and contriving where the parents want to kill him. That also gave the parents depth as "real". How many episodes could you have them just eating dinner and making standard comments? I think Eddie Haskell was a MAJOR contributor. I am 70 so I remember him coming over being sticky sweet go upstairs door closes "get out of here half pint hows the weather down there" I think it was a great series that was much more in depth than people think.
The people that created the movies were highly advanced and used the series to show "a preposterous family"----------------------- that the writers hated. But they stayed middle of the road and broke people in slowly. There was no abuse or exploitation.

I was raised to never make observations about other people's possessions. Eddie is so creepy. But I like that Mr. And Mrs. Cleaver see through Eddie's ruse of pretending to be nice.

@@IncogNito-gg6uh Well, they couldn't be too accurate in the depiction. I mean, Eddie had to be somewhat likable. Otherwise Wally would have killed him, then stuff him into one of those trash cans that he and the Beaver painted.

@@danielhixson3717 LOL! You know, it wasn't that they made him occasionally, and very briefly, likeable that made me empathize with Eddie. Sometimes, when another attempt to be cool fell flat, you could see the hurt and confusion on Eddie's face as he had that moment of realization that he was never going to be that guy. It was brilliantly nuanced acting by Ken Osmond.
