It's a REAL shame that Damson Idris turned down the role because if Marvel was going with T'Challa's son ( from Black Panther 2 end credit ) he would have been the spitting image of an older version of the child actor who played in that sequence. Additionally, Damson is a MARVELOUS actor and his performances in Snowfall blew me away - and the accent he had totally fooled me into thinking he was American. Black Panther represents a vision for Africa that subverts reality. The man who screams Wakanda Forever cannot be… biracial. There are no white people in Wakanda as it was never colonised. So they never married outside their peoples. So it needs to be a person with dark skin and someone with all African descent if possible. It’s more symbolic that way. Boseman was exactly that.

There’s ONLY one actor that should be seriously considered as the new T’Challa, and coincidentally enough, his acting path resembles Boseman’s due to his portrayal of historical people from Jesse Owens in Race to John Lewis in Selma, and arguably his best role in If Beale Street Could Talk! This brotha ALSO worked with Boseman in 12 Bridges!
