Cool, I ordered three of these for coffee storage. I hope they work well and last a long time. Curious to see how well the auto re-vacuuming works and how often it does it.
BIG MISTAKE! Glass should NOT be used to manufacture so called vacuum food storage containers. Glass has tiny imperfections on the surface - this means that even when you create a vacuum initially, air immediately starts to penetrate the airless space via the imperfections in the glass ... not good! Only precision made plastic containers can retain a vacuum for more than a few days - even they will lose the vacuum after a week or so. The first manufacturer that designs a product that retains a PERMANENT vacuum seal (until opened) will make BILLIONS of $$$$$$'s.
Thanks, answered all my questions, just want I'm looking for.
Any updates on the quality of this product in keeping its contents sealed?

can you use this to vac seal commercial soft-seal jars used for marinara or salad dressings?
Tritan plastic is food safe and will not leach chemicals into the food. Glass cannot provide a permanent vacuum seal.
