Seeing as how I have a lot of time on my hands of late, I'm going to have to give this a try! I just have to figure out how to a) do that transparency bit and b) how to somehow do a pdf of the saved cards once completed (like say 6 cards per page?) so I can print them out.
Okay I have design my monster but did not see where you can change the image below. In you example you had a mummy icon, where would I get another Icon to change? Thanks for the answer to silly questions.
Oh no, not in the app; I made the background transparent in paint.net in windows. I used a magic selection tool to highlight all the background, then deleted it. I saved the image as a .png file, at a bit depth that would ensure the deleted space would render as transparent. Sorry that it wasn't clear that it wasn't in the app!
I am uneducated in this area - but there is a youtuber called HeroQuester that goes through the entire process; I encourage searching for his three part video series on his process (I do believe he covers printing your own as well as ordering)
I do like that these are styled like the new Heroquest. Does anyone make a set of monster cards ready made and printed, perhaps taken from the world of DnD or Warhammer?
@@AshQuest Wasn't expecting you to directly reply, awesome. I will check them out, thanks. I got D&D as a kid and couldn't get friends or family to play with me, in my teen years I played Warhammer with friends, although I really wanted an adventure. Now with a son I found D&D Adventure begins, cheap and very simple, enough to get him interested, but not really expandable. I looked into Warhammer Quest, Dungeon Saga origins and Heroquest. We've settled on Heroquest as it was the simplest of all to play, without too many rules. I then stumbled on your channel and found a whole cottage industry devoted to Heroquest. I absolutely love the channel, keep it up👍🏼

Love this app. A lot easier than using GIMP. Still using GIMP for the images, and some small tweaks.
Always use a roundover punch on your card corners, please! 4mm should do the trick
It works perfect. Amazon has them at a low price
Great tool to have for homebrew games!
Thanks for this video! I’ve got a purple worm that I plan to throw into one of our groups sessions and this tool will be perfect to make that happen!
Excellent. I'll get a lot of use out of this.
Still playing with that , i am a a really unhandy with computers but this works like a charm , only fighting with making the white transparent 😂

Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
@Ash, how do you make the image transparent on the app? In the video, you clicked something, but couldn't tell. what you clicked.

@@AshQuest I thought that might be the case. I used Adobe to remove the background. I'm getting the Purple Worm ready for a future session.
so now you have design the card, how or show how to print on card stock, please. what card stock can we use?

Awesome video, thanks!
This is amazing.
Does it give backs to the cards too?

I think, if I'm not mistaken, that Odanan has made such a set or uses such a template. I haven't covered it but worth looking into!
