I actually just now canceled my subscription. I had the Wonderous One Shot box and the first month was fine but my bonus was the frost giant. The issue with that being they didn't send me a base to use with it. My second box had no bonus item at all and was missing content needed for the campaign. My third box I haven't gotten just yet but I won't be getting a fourth for now. I canceled because I sent a support email over 2 weeks ago about my issues with my first and second boxes with no response. You also have to contact support to cancel your subscription unless you're using paypal. Thankfully I was so I got to cancel but wtf imagine getting charged over and over when you want to cancel because no one is answering the support emails. Why isn't there a button on the website to cancel? It's super predatory. Until my issues are resolved on my boxes and they add a cancel button to the site I won't be a subscriber anymore and I highly encourage others to look elsewhere for one shot content or if you really want this company's stuff just buy it on their market as a one and done purchase.

for those curious, it seems the website as of 07-19-24 shows a version of the box for order for jobs/class levels up to heavensward. along with senarios going up to that point on the Sq website

Actually played this with friends. It is quite good. Tho had to adjust for 6 players and one GM. The white and black dies are for the GM. (Also, it is Dawntrail, not Dawnbreaker. Tho you said it correctly later.)

Please keep in mind that this is just the starter box. This does not include the full content of the TTRPG. There is more than 4 Jobs as well as full rules on creating your own custom character available in the FULL BOOK.

I played a tons of FF11, and could adapt this to that world because I quit FF14 after 1.0 and ARR. I had no idea they made this. Is it still for sale?

I have this boxed game set. Bought new from my local toy store at the time, but I never played it. I bought it because it reminded me of Warhammer.

I think an oceanic expansion would be cool. Especially since they’ve implemented choose your adventure path mechanics, like you go through a dungeon, then between that and the next dungeon there’s a naval travel moment where depending on what path you choose you can encounter a different sea monster or ghost pirate ship and you get a hero ship which can be upgraded etc. include a monster hunter class who’s like the ranger but maybe he’s themed like a medieval whaler. Or have a desert expansion with mummies etc.

I just want wizards of zargon from here and I’d be content

I would love to see FF-Tactics as a Tabletop/Boardgame. I know, there is a Game called Tiny Little Tactics and with a little love you can mod it to the FF Tactics universe.

Good thing I’m the one guy in the friend group with the main box and several expansions for my friends who are new to the game and want to give it a shot.

New animal allies beyond just the wolf 👀 my only requests is GM screens for the individual big expansions and loot for animal companions. Otherwise this is such a cool expansion and I want it.

i have everything but delthrak. somebody nice on facebook hooked me up with the monk box for retail plus shipping. They do need to slow down or they risk overproducing and being unable to sell product. They should back down to 2 boxes per year. Maybe some years doing 1 ultra box instead. I havent played it all. my kids are ever so slightly not ready yet. I can afford it all but i fear Hasbro cutting us off completely if AH has too much unsold product.

So, you're lamenting the possible future of a game that has already proven to be popular enough as to encourage it's developers to make more expansions that no long root with the originals? For my dollar, I'm excited to see Jungles come out now. The July release is most likely to ease buyer's fatigue with First Light. I'm not a completion, so FL wont be on my watch unless it presents a true, analog solo experience. I'm not a fan of digital anything at my table.

I don't like the idea of this box. if people want to play the game and try it out, they should stick with the starter box that has everything in it. this looks like they are going to go back to cardboard furniture which is bad idea. People like me who own everything will still buy it because we want the monsters and possibly new quests though. it seems like a money grab from old users not new ones.

Will they adapt Wizards of Morcor for HQ 2e?

One thing I noticed is that Hasbro didn't produce any Lore animation for Delthrak like they did for the other expansions.

I can't wait to get mine! I also follow Nuggets Dungeon Terrain, and I just acquired some of the same mini tiki heads as he used in episodes 148, 149, and 151 to craft some awesome traps, which I will as well to enhance my "Jungles" pack quests!

Nice video. You have the original box cover with the Jim Burns. This was changed after the first print run as US management did not like the Giger like boarder.

Pure nostalgia. I love HeroQuest and StarQuest. It would be nice if StarQuest came out with a new edition. The new Space Crusade with the half-naked girls is, to say the least, really embarrassing and totally ridiculous. but I think there would be problems with Games Workshop again. Hasbro didn't even get the licenses for the Chaos Knights, the Witcher and Fimire. They even had to design the gargoyle differently. why whatever. I would see black for the Space Marines, Dreadnoughts Eldari etc. still one of the best board games ever released. I still have mine in the closet. If a new edition should come out again, please please provide decent material for the miniatures. The only point of criticism with the new Heroquest. the miniatures are made from the cheapest plastic. I don't think it's possible at that price and in my opinion it's just money made with the name.

I agree that we’ve got more content than I ever expected. I would like to see Wizards of X and even a dwarf and wizard quest pack. But if I’m being completely honest, I’ve home-brewed sometimes several versions of every “new” mechanic and character officially introduced. After all we’ve been doing this a lot longer than AH. What I really want is minis to scale, new tiles and cool dice. Those could be retailed without any more expansions

You will always have places like Etsy. Where you can get just about anything you could ever want. So many new things for so many creators and what not. The game will retire but the legacy will live on easy peasy.
