I'd love a more in-depth review or more videos of this. Covering things like the spin cycle. Does the cycle shake aggressively or is it quiet? Have you had anything you don't like about it?
Yes right the spin cycle is kinda loud but not the most terrible it being heavy also makes it impossible to move other than that it’s been pretty great
@@williamsung this is one of those devices that you'll need the delivery guys to bring in and once it's in a spot, leave it there for good. Look forward to any upcoming videos on this you post.
Hello there yes the longer cycles are because the heat pump does not get as hot as the standard 240v electrical dryer. And the towels etc needed extra time. They sacrifice the speed for savings on electricity and not needing to vent out air so the house does not have air sucked out of it. When I ran a regular load of laundry it took about 2 hours all in which is more in line with regular laundry times.
I just got this machine and am currently washing my second load of clothes. I was not prepared for the long run times AT ALL. I haven't even overstuffed the machine. Four and half hours to do a load of laundry is nuts, that's more than double what it was when I had separate W/D. I haven't tried the super speed setting yet, only the normal and AI ones. I'm debating sending it back just because of this problem.
Ya these machines seem to be for people who plan bigger loads so you can get more done in one load and are trying to save or only have so much space to work with. what i did notice though is if you let the AI and washing machine do its thing a few more times. The machine does get better at using less electricity(alreayd uses very little) and it gets a little faster I would say the first 4-5 times it shaved a few minutes off each time besides the first time taking a full 5 hours for towels (nuts) for clothes it started around 4 hours now its down to like 3 and a half sometimes faster. Wash cycles are super fast if you tell it you have delicate fabrics like athletic which can cut cycle times to 2-3 hours. Things i learned so far if you put something that takes a while to dry with stuff that might not take as long will cause the load overall to take longer. If you keep similar fabrics together it will wash and dry faster. the fast spin cycles are a little crazy fast.
im concernedaboutthedryer part. several warnings about 90-95% dry. I want to get one but don't want to lose $ if it doesn't dry 100% n then need to buy traditional gas set.
That is true! I had a 240 volt full electric which I am comparing it too. A 2017 model from lg so not super old. It dried faster for sure comparing dryness though I don’t think there is much of a difference. To be fair most of my laundry loads are sports clothes, cotton mix clothes, towels, and wool which for a lot of those I am not using high heat to begin with. I am currently working on the 8th load (trying to do 10-20 before I do a full review). And trying to wait for the big load of jeans and heavier clothes to see how it does with that kind of stuff. So far only one thing came out pretty damp and that was a bath rug we washed with our towels.
I did try to do a timed dry to add an additional 5 minutes to one set and yes the heat pumps get pretty warm if you have a utility room for your laundry room it will be quite warm after it’s been on for a few hours
Does anyone know what the little blue plastic Samsung piece is (looks like an old-timey coin purse) that comes inside the bespoke washer dryer combos? Wondering what it's used for?
I just got this unit. Washing bedroom sheets and its telling me that it will take 6 hours to dry? Is that normal? I noticed when it got to the dry cycle it said it was cleaning condenser and it went to 6 hours of dry time. I stopped the cycle at 2 hours and the sheets were dry and hot to the touch. The load weight was 7 LBS. I had the bed sheet program selected.
Hi so you put it on bedding and it estimated 6 hours thats kind of weird it may have been fluffing or keeping as much lint from getting to the condenser but i am not sure why it would do this. I will look into it though!
How much does this shake/vibrate when running? I would like to build a pedestal for this combo unit and am concerned on how stable it would be on top of a custom pedestal.
Hi there The manual says this cannot be put on a pedestal for those reasons. It doesn’t do much vibrating but the massive weight on a pedestal I can imagine it would not be good
@@williamsungThank you for confirming about the low vibration. Regarding the manual, thank you for pointing out that it does indeed warn against the use of platforms.
I also spoke with Samsung a few times to verify the lack of Samsung Care not being available on the product listing page. I figured it's because it was a new listing and surely had to be a website error as nearly every other major appliance has the option for adding Samgsung Care. It turns out, you may be able to add Samsung Care after you receive the product, but you need the model and serial number to enroll and add a plan. I ordered one and I'm waiting to see for myself, but maybe you could attempt to add a plan on the Samsung Care site and get back to us? @williamsung
Hey Mike went with this over ge cause of the lint in condenser that sometimes gets trapped on the ge one making it less effective. Lg and Samsung was mostly a coin toss decision liked the look better
@williamsung ok it seems my thinking is exactly like yours then.. I do have some months to think this over. Please update us if you find other things you like or dislike about your washer/dryer. Thanks!
Can it keep up with your family? My wife (family of 5) has concerns it can't keep with our family of 5's laundry needs. How often do you have to use the superspeed? Can you put in a small amount of items and get them out if you need say one outfit?
If you are doing loads constantly it may be hard to keep up if your savings for a very large load 1-2 a week. I think it will be absolutely fine. start it during the day come back to finished laundry at night for 1-2 days. Larger loads will take anywhere from 3-5 hours depending on cloth style ive noticed.
William, I looked into combos. Samsung, GE, LG. And one question that bothers me - do they do just drying? When you live in humid environment like Florida, sometimes you need to dry things without any washing.
for loads that are quite large and didnt get folded right away definitely needed an iron unless you are willing to use liquid fabric softener i havent done so yet but strongly considering it.
What worries me with Samsung, is their reliability. I'm sure they're better now but did they just went from bad to average? I know the others brands that do all-in-one (GE, LG and maybe Electrolux) are not great but I wonder if Samsung is on par with reliability.
Really wish they offered more colors. I’d buy the machine in a heartbeat if Samsung offered it in white. I live in a 700 sqft nyc apt and the only place I can put it is near my kitchen. The color of the washing machine would make it stick out like a sore thumb.
Let us know if you start to see any buildup. Looking forward to more videos since this unit is so new. Some people that have it stated this unit uses a lot of water for the cycles.
🙏I’ll do that and I’ll check my water usage it seems about the same but I can’t really tell as I didn’t have a checker on my previous. I will have the stats from the app I’ll share tho.
@@williamsung also, that plastic screen in the back when you remove your filter, tends to collect lint. It serves no useful function, other than to stop objects from rolling back into the drum. So you could run the unit without that and it will let more length go into the filter without having you to clean it. you can give that a try. Otherwise it’s just a lint catcher.
Love the technology but it's not 'proven' yet. GE has the best warranty for the heat pump at 5 years plus they have their own dedicated service department, LG is starting up their service department, Samsung don't have a service department yet. The Samsung exploding top load washers and the LG refrigerators with the constantly breaking linear compressors are still fresh in my mind, I'm not willing to be a Guinea pig just yet, maybe a GE unit because of their warranty and service but you're really rolling the dice with the others.
I wouldn't recommend this for a large family you can only get 4 loads done a day, wait type is usually 4 and half hrs . And the slef cleaning time takes 2 -4 hrs .
Yea sometimes they do update the delivery times i noticed that this happened before and then a day or two later they must have gotten more and the delivery time went back to a few days.
Can you post a video of an actual cycle running and after a few loads what the Filter looks like? Are they recommending cleaning the filter after every load or every 5 loads like the GE? I had to design a fix for the GE unit. www.youtube.com/@HomeGuySolutions
The instruction manual that came with the machine seems to not be for the specific machine but i clean the filter everytime only takes about a minute. I looked at your genius trap for the GE to get the lint and that is super smart. I havent noticed the same issue with the samsung where lint may bypass and get into the compressor but i have been vigilant about cleaning.
eeeee what have i done? smh it was updating all day.. or preparing update and then husband came and looked and toouched somethign and now it wont stop talking but nothing is working.. boohoo hoo please help
Unplug and plug it back in this happened to me as well it seems like it was trying to update. And as soon as it turns on and runs switch to wifi to a 2.4 wifi network it runs way more stable if you do that.
Why is that? Statements with no facts are just emotional thoughts. Have you had this machine? If not, how can you make that baseless statement? What secrets do you know that others dont? Can you share? Doubtful. Another opinionated fool on the web. And with a name like "The Lover Boy" it tells us all we need to know hahahhaahhaahhaha
Thank you for sharing. Love how it saves so much space and how ergonomic it is. Also, looks better than the LG one.

My LG takes over 2 hour to wash and about 2 hours to dry

Hey Nick the samsung does actually have a mode specifically made for tide pods so yes it will work with it :)

Was reading that Samsung has a mechanism to rince the coils.
Saw it on the d900 models and Samsung did say that warranty is avail
I just got a response from Samsung it only cleans the pump and drum to free chemicals not the heat pump, sorry about that
Did they offer a pedestal??wonder if this unit has a larger heat pump than the ge profile, given the larger drum size
From what I read from the manual a pedestal is not recommended due to weight and the effects rattling has on the machine.
I spoke w Samsung sales/tech today and they did say NO pedestals are compatible due to the weight. Maybe in the future.
