Bro, you are the first in RUclips explaining visual representation & notes on business on a ipad ❤️👍🙏🏻🙏🏻. Most of the note taking are only related to medical exams. This was new & fresh way of understanding a different subject . Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The stuff you are learning in your business class relates quite a lot to UX design. I'm glad to have a video from you that applies to my field of study. Please make more videos about how you study and take notes for business!
Basically at some point UX is part of Marketing. I'm a business student and in Marketing we have to go in depth to consumer's mind just like UX Researchers has to go in user's mind. Even you can become UX Researcher or Designer with business degree too.
Your process of designing complex ideas in a simple and visual way is just incredible. I would love to see more of this! Maybe even the process of making a video like this to transport an idea!
This was a great video. I work as a product manager for a tech company and this is a lot of what I do day to day. Even pulling in that last bit about the application limitations, what is easier to do and what would take more time to develop. I'm sure you're not alone in liking this type of work and if anyone else likes this I suggest looking into product management. I find that loop of finding a problem, iterating a proposed solution, and delivering across a team very satisfying.
Great video, once again! It was really nice to see that someone got the same fascination for problem solving as I got when I was in university. And eventually I ended up being a UX designer and this is my daily business now. Also be happy that you got the lesson with the technical feedback early on. It‘s crucial in such projects to check the implementation restrictions early on, because without an implementation the best concept is nothing else than a great idea :)
Great video but I can't even lie: If I were on one of the other teams watching their presentation, i'd be like, "this f*kn guy... throwing off the curve." then shake my head while looking at my powerpoint template
I am second year business administration student and this field is love!! The most coolest thing someone can study I mean learning consumer behavior, macroeconomics, strategic management, marketing, logistics etc everything is so cool. Specially when you have to solve case studies of different companies or even big industries like "Fashion" or "Tech". Science/engineering students don't know what does studying business feels like, it's not easy at all as they think BUT the most interesting and coolest thing.
Just wanted to say thank you for your videos-they're truly a masterpiece! It's rare to see these types of videos on youtube- easy to understand, interesting, and such high-quality. Keep up the good work!
Congrats Buddy for making it to 300k !! I'm really happy for you. The value you have provided us with these videos is simply phenomenal. I hope you are doing good and let's reach the next levels of success together!
As a student who is also from the WSU but at Vietnam Campus and currently studying the SE subject, I'm totally impressed by your group's works and solutions. Hopefully, our school will accept your group's ideas because I'm also on the same page with your issues about Homepage setting.
Great job, you did the real learning that will help you the rest of your life. The traditional academic learning process focuses on memorizing and reapeating known facts with no real thinking behind it. Again, great job and best of luck in you studies.
I just LOVED your initiative! Congrats to you and to your study group! It's a shame the university didn't accepted and changed its own homepage. It would surely be much better if they adopted your ideas!
Samuel! I admire you. I learn so much from you everyday. Love you mate. Keep doing more. Keep inspiring. It's genius level information. Lot of people need this. I don't comment that much, but I think you deserve a lot of encouragement. That's why I'm taking my time to write this. You put out a lot of positive energy mate. Appreciate you for everything you do. :) Stay safe
Love the video... have paused it at the point where you are discussing the backend problems and how large of a task implementing this could be. They fed you enough to discourage you.... but the reality is that what you created better serves the community and their arguments against by far do not out weigh the benefits achieved. The great thing about code is that you only have to write it once and iterations follow for marginal improvements. Likely some of what they created already can be broken out and the UI changed to create a better experience. So here's my two cents/opinion after working with engineers, researchers and end users for the better part of my career. They need to be pushed. They see the personal efforts required to implement and sense they are self serving (not intentionally but by human nature) they immediately create arguments against. They need to be guided and pushed. One way I have found success is by breaking problems into smaller chunks for them to tackle. Eating the elephant one bite at a time doesn't seem like a monumental task when compared to viewing the entire elephant and being told to eat. There are many ways to steer people into cooperation and when you solve that problem coupled with your great ideas you will achieve many great things. If Henry Ford left it to the engineers, the V8 motor never would have existed and evolved/influenced the auto industry the way it has. Engineers and techs are problem solvers, not visionaries. Both are needed to advance humanity. Just my 2 cents. Keep making great videos!
pls pls pls! pls do more content about business students🙏😩 every single content about studying are all in medical field and I am yet to find someone that tackles about the business field in college.
please make more videos like this, i learnt a lot from this video! and this year I'm going to be doing business, computing and IT so watching this video just gave me a good insight of how a business lesson would look like
Hi Samuel. If you really enjoyed this assignment then you can become a UX designer. I’m a UX Designer myself and what you did is very similar of what we do as UX designer :) you already have your incredible skills in note taking and communication, I think you will like it!
This is a typical Engineering assignment. We usually have 8-10 weeks only to create a product that serves a need and this product must be of high resolution prototype which involves machining and fabrication. Through all these projects, I agree that you’ll actually appreciate your University education even more. It gives students room to apply their knowledge.
Great video, Samuel! If you enjoy this path of design thinking, you might have already stumbled on UX design. In addition, this design thinking is part of UX/UI design under Product Management. I recommend checking it out if you have had the chance yet.
Your design sense is very good. It fully represents in your pdf file. But in terms of UI design, it is still kind of too busy to look at but it is much better than the original. Also your point in considering every stakeholder who use the system is essential for UI UX design. I hope your can do a great job in these fields in the future.
IMHO, the University's IT Dept. was GIFTED here and is just plain LAZY or UNDERFUNDED. Sure the scope and multiple processes weren't reflected in the stundent-facing front-end that was proposed, BUT, that DOES NOT invalidate the VALUE of those front-end improvements. If the VUWS system was originally developed with best practices, there is NO reason why those improvements could not, in part, or in total, be implemented - with some amount of work that would need to be funded.
Hallo Samuel, I love following you channel and the videos you post. The main reason I watch you is because I want to understand how you learn business material, as it is different from medical studies. This video, although interesting, did not help me how you learn about you process of take notes and learning as a business student. The best answer I got is "Learn by solving problems on the fly through the iterative process". I would love to see your take on studying business!
Yes and then those so called smart computer science students think they can do anything lol there was whole era where you doesn't need 4 years cs degree because you can learn programming on your own, nowadays you don't even need to learn programming! Anyone can make websites, apps, games without knowing single word of programming.
Sound like you should have attended a university practicing PBL. Half of our semester is a project where the second half is theory relevant to them project themes.
Amazing! Can we please just appreciate, how awesome the design and especially the document was?! It's incredible. I'd love to see a follow-up video on the process of creating / designing that paper!
impeccable, everything you do is impeccable. my respect for you bro! i have a question, ¿where do you get ideas for your keynotes design? ¿Do you create it or you are inspired in some graphical style or something? thanks for your kindess
Really good story about a structured improvement process. It would be great to have an opportunity to have copy of the report you used throughout the video to improve the way I do reports.
I got to university of Queensland and our interface is the same as yours its so unintuitive, hopefully they update the system. I think a lot universities use the same outdated software but technically it will be very difficult to implement.
I go to Trinity College Dublin and the interface is the same it just has a different name. If you learn to use a programme called Alfred you can just have it remember the links to the stuff you use frequently and get there without having to click lots of times
@@rohanwadhwa9027Nah I only use the free version. Go to preferences and then open the web search section. Add new. Then just copy and paste the link you want and add name so you can search for it easily
I really think that personas are just a big waste of time. Unless it is done taking into account the majority of people answering a survey with questions that helps to build the persona, they are meaningless because you are just imagining how an ideal person for that problem would look like. Why is it important? And even the persona coming from a survey, you build 2 personas and they will not represent all users. I think that the survey about what are the perceived problems are much more important. Because it doesn't matter if the person likes dog and have fear of dark while the other loves metal and dancing in the shower... the problem is the same and you providing a solution for it will reach both. I really don't see any value in this persona hype.
Because he can’t replay on every comment or even read all of them. Doing so would eat so much time, he would not be able to study, produce those videos and do healthy self-care. All the while those comments would add little effect to us as a group, as compared to his videos. And I do think he refers to some comments and questions in those videos (and you have to admit that those videos are a much more powerful comment than any word comment here.)

But it's part of Business not engineering. In Business you think critically, do a lot of research and analysis on consumer then make something.
