It made my heart a little sad for 2 reasons. 1: my baby boy is getting older and changing. 2: it made me think of Gannon and how he was also just a baby boy trying to change and grow every day. Right. It’s one thing when you think your kids could have a better relationship with their stepparent and quite another to think she might end their lives. I’m sure he didn’t see that coming, not with the shocked grief he reacted with when the police showed him that video of him not coming home. It’s too easy to blame oneself but, had he known I’m sure he would have stopped it. It’s always those who don’t care who leave good people feeling guilty.
His mom was sick and low on funds and could not afford to provide for him. She knew Letitia and had been friends with her in the past and though that relationship soured, she always thought she was good with children. His Mom had them most of their lives and Al did not have custody for a long time before Gannon was killed. She was hired as a special needs teacher at schools so, apparently, even professionals were fooled by her. She probably was able to hide her crazy streak. Her family did not believe she could do such a thing. Kind of like the Daybell case. These narcissistic types can fool a lot of people. And Al had to work to support his family and his job did take him away a lot because he was in the military. I believe taking care of the kid cramped her style and she did not want to do it anymore. Their Mom was not in a financial condition to take them back so she was stuck with them. Decided to get rid of Gannon and it was planned in advanced as evidenced by all her Google searches. Laina would be next or maybe Laina was easier for her to take care of. But if Laina gave her any sass she would probably be killed next. The parents are not to blame in the least. With the exception of the "knife incident" Gannon went to therapy for. That was a red flag. But Gannon was probably too frightened to report the abuse. Now Hailey, I still think she knows more than she has let on, both about prior abuse and driving Gannon's body cross country without realizing it even though that body must have stunk to high heaven. But she was a minor and also afraid of her mother. But I would like to know everything she knows.
I find it hard to believe that this father had no idea he was married to such a monster. She must have shown some animosity towards Ganon. She’s now claiming DID- she certainly wouldn’t have been able to hide that if true ( I seriously doubt it however).

They know that’s not the case. The police found so much blood in his bedroom, they know he could not have left alive. That was consistent with the body in the suitcase he was found in. So he didn’t bleed out and then stow away in a suitcase to Florida.
