I wish you were the pastor at my church. That being said, great pickups. I like those Ralph Kiner cards-from 1947 when the talent pool increased through 1960 the last year of 16 teams, Ralph Kiner has the record for most homers in a year-54 in 1949.
Fantastic pickups Craig! That Carlton RC looks amazing what a great deal, a Drysdale RC for $20 is crazy! That 62 Mathews is a beauty, that 53 Mathew Johnston Cookie card is sweet, and Matt is such a generous guy! Congrats on a great show!
I enjoyed seeing your pickups from Strongsville and hearing about the fun you had. So many nice cards for your collection. Those 62 Packers stood out because of huge childhood connection. Any card that draws you back to good times from your childhood is special. I am glad you mentioned that it is not as much about the grade, value and condition. Yes, those things may matter depending on your goals but it is history behind the cards and the emotional connection they convey that I appreciate hearing about most. Take care

Yes, I enjoy the 55 Bowman cards - very susceptible to damage on the edges, so consequently, the higher grades can be hard to find. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Some great pick ups. Blyleven, Carlton and Drysdale I think are a bit under appreciated in the hobby. All 3 hall of famers and had great careers. Drysdale was over shadowed by Koufax. Carlton I guess , not as popular as Seaver or Nolan Ryan, but is comparable to both. And Blyleven, seems like he's forgotten; yet the numbers he put up...
Absolutely agree. Especially Carlton, he was so dominant in his prime. Blyleven was so consistent. DD was definitely overshadowed by Koufax. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
