Well, I happen to agree. I am always slower, more calm and find it irritating when people rush through life too! Marilyn was very honest in life and I love her for that.

I love these little snipits you share with us. They tell so much about Marilyn. She was anything but a dumb blonde. She played that role, but it was far away from her true self. She was always striving to be better at everything. Acting classes, dance classes, summer stock, the actors studio, reading everything she could. She liked to be around strong men with firm opinions and who argued them. Everything was a learning lesson for her. God bless her soul.

Marilyn could have easy played great dramatic parts. In "Don't Bother to Knock" she is extremely good. Being typecast in dumb blonde roles stereotyped her and made it more difficult for her to obtain more serious roles. She was a most underrated actress and was not appreciated by the Hollywood big shots. A beautiful Lady. x
If you call her underrated ? How about other great actresses they hardly even get to mentioned now this days ? Marilyn was great actress but not underrated she is very up top and might overrated compare to other great beauties and actresses like Vivien Leigh , Susan Hayward and many more ....Marilyn is one of a kind great actress but not underrated.

I've been reading so much about Marilyn recently, that as a writer (yeah, I got a novel in the works, no joke) I feel compelled to write about her. She was refreshingly, if not frighteningly, honest. Movie stars work themselves to death with 16-hr shoots. Hell, everyone works too hard. She's so right. We need to take time to be calm, human and tranquil, even if it means getting up an hour later.

She was an artist. The studio (Fox) tried to make her into a money machine. And for her to conjure up Marilyn Monroe she needs time. And it's always worth the wait when Norma gets MM to appear.

Can't imagine why after she became such a big box office draw, that they didn't simply accept her pace and arrival habits, and planned their shooting schedules to start later and work later. Would have saved the studios a whole lot of expense and turmoil.
As our Goddess Marilyn Monroe said ..why to do things so fast like machines?? and that was in the 1950s..imagine the rushing of today!! Yes, She was ahead of her time..yes indeed!! So Intelligent and well organized in her head...We achieve more doing things slowly..I came to this Earth to be happy!!..I live one day at a time!!!.. Hollywood didnt value the brain of Marilyn Monroe..it was sad . She could do so many intelligent,dramatic movies ...She was not the dumb blonde they tried to promote..She was very bright!!.Today is not one actress with so many qualities as her:Beautiful,Honest,Intelligent,Charismatic,Sensual,Sexy,Sweet,Elegant,A gorgeous Angel of God!!
