  • The walk starts from Cockington Road, next to Sutton Seeds Trial Ground, travelling along a 1.3 mile winding footpath through the woods of Scadson Plantation and Ten Acre Break.
    Scadson Woods (Plantation) is a woodland area located in Torquay, Devon. The plantation is a popular destination for walkers, runners, and nature lovers as it offers a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The area is home to a variety of tree species, including oak, beech, and silver birch. There are several trails that criss-cross through the woods, offering visitors a chance to explore the area and discover its hidden treasures.
    At the start of the walk you will see Suttons Seeds Trial Ground on the right which covers an area of around 3 acres and is used to trial new plant varieties before they are released to the public. The garden features a wide range of plants, from flowers to vegetables, and visitors can see the different varieties being tested and compare their growth and performance. The garden is open to the public during the summer months and is a popular attraction for garden enthusiasts.
