I'm currently 15 years old right now and the RMC is where I dream to end up to study. For the past 3 years I've been determined to be a pilot. To be one for the CAF is my ultimate dream and I can't wait to achieve it. I'm dedicated
You got this
Pilots were a very demanded trades back in 2011, when I joined. I earned my wings in Air Cadets, but ended up as an army officer. As for you - sky is the limit. Good Luck!
Current pilot training is super backed up, I was also going for pilot but was called by my recruiter saying there was a “9 year backlog” you’re fifteen though, I hope it clears up :)
@@TTSilentDeath So nothing changed from 10+ years ago. Back then pilot candidates waited 2 or more years to get qualified.
@@TTSilentDeath not a 9 year backlog.
I miss it there went as a young cadet and will never forget it!! Amazing experience!! 🙌💯
TDV NGC! Is the underground newspaper "Slasher Times" still a thing at RMC?
As an air cadet, I’d love to go to rmc when I graduate to study aero engineering, very proud of our country. If you’re reading this, have a good day.
Thanks for your kind words, we hope you have a good day as well! We hope you are enjoying cadets and good luck in applying in the future!
Remember that school marks aren't everything. When I got into RMC, my average was 63%, however I served for 6 years in Air Cadets, became a power pilot, and was socially active. So bad marks are not be-all end-all, recruiting officers are looking for a well-rounded individual.
Capt. Tuvalbaev
BZ!! Very nice piece!
I will be coming to the RMC open house on November 25; very excited.
Currently I’m 17 and have applied for the ROTP program through the military, was deemed medically unfit however I just sent in an appeal. Hopefully this is successful as becoming a fighter pilot in the RCAF has been my dream for more than 10 years. Been training hard for the past 2 years can’t wait until the graduating parade for the wings.
I've moved out of Canada to take care of my family. Didn't have the foresight to finish my high school and get my diploma I'm 34 year's old and I'm zeroing in a career path in the military with post secondary school firm in mind is it to late where the best possible online school to fast track me into the CAF.
Thank you for your time. God Bless you.
There is someone around your age graduating from the military college this year. Sure you're a little late but it's still doable
Kings babies, ridiculous, poor leadership
I am looking to join the cadets next year. I will be 17 by then but my right hand is not as strong as my left (neurological condition) will that be a issue?
This shouldn’t immediately disqualify you from applying, as this would be at the discretion of the Medical Officer. You can contact your local recruiting centre and ask to speak with medical staff for further guidance. You can find their contact information here: forces.ca/en/find-a-recruiting-centre/.
Do you have any further questions?

If you can still pass basic training and do all the required training and respect the standard I don't see an issue with that.
Are you allowed to grow goatees in the Canadians Forces 0:23 ?
All styles of facial hair and sideburns are authorized.
Is the application process the same in rmc and rmc saint jean?
There is no difference in the application process for RMC St-Jean or Kingston.
Can foreigners like ' me: Pakistani can apply for it?
@@yaaronkayaar4171 i don't think so. you need to be a Canadian citizen.

Good luck, make it in for me would ya.
I still got a couple years to go haha
@@epicgr1ff Of course!

Got my offer recently. Keep an eye on your application, and your head up!
this is not the place to ask these questions but i haven't been able to get any clear answers through the CAF website, can you become a pilot through the ROTP program? if not what program would you need to take. Thank you
Yes, as a university degree is required for the Pilot trade, the CAF will pay successful recruits to complete a bachelor degree program in the Royal Military College System. You can learn more about the program here: forces.ca/en/paid-education/rotp
What do you mean by successful recruits?
@@treefrog4321probably means you have to pass your basic training.

Things have definitely changed
Hi. I’m 25. Is there any age restrictions to apply for college?
Your application for a paid education program is also an application to become a member of the CAF for the length of your training and specific period of service afterwards. All applicants are required to meet both the general qualifications for the CAF, as well as the academic requirements for your field of study or technical program.
To qualify for admission to the CAF and a paid education plan, you must:
Be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident
-Meet the minimum medical standard required for CAF enrolment
-Pass pre-enrolment tests including the Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT), an assessment of aptitudes and suitability for your choice of occupation
-Be 16 years of age to submit an application (with parent/legal guardian consent if you are under 18)
-Meet educational requirements of the program (different programs have different entry requirements)
You can learn more here: forces.ca/en/paid-education/

Can you study to be a doctor at RMC?
They only offer engineering and sciences degrees i think
No, medical doctors who join the Canadian forces come from civilian universities.
The CAF offers a career of Medical Officers. Learn more about this career, including entry plans: forces.ca/en/career/medical-officer/?
Basically they send you to a civilian university and they proceed to pay your studies and pay you
