Here's the Patch Notes, though FYI these are more overview-style, they clarified that detailed notes will arrive closer to the PTS date later this week 👉 www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/the-division/the-division-2/news-updates/4nCvudIbhKyqzMT1PTfup9
How are y'all feeling about Project Resolve?!

Not a single thing in those notes about the specializations revamp they talked about in October 28, 2021 in their Intelligence Annex. GG Massive. You straight up said "we'll do a thing", and then said "fk it". Good job.

A massive undertaking to improve the health of a game is...bigger than people might understand. It shows a support for the game from the higher ups that is all about keeping it alive and great.

Well, they're still charging 30+30 for base and WONY, for a game its age, so they're definitely making their bucks for all of this.

Honestly all these salty players comments below are uncalled for. Who cares if new players get stuff easier compared to the vets. This game is about to end in 2025 so let people have fun and QQ. If you don’t like it you know where uninstall is. Seriously more people playing would be great addition instead of having to carry a noobie or getting grouped with poorly geared and under shade lvl

To be honest, it is a lil shitty that people just starting out are getting things I've been trying to find for years. Plus that is also why most of these games player count are dropping, they would rather cater to the casuals rather than the people who actually love and play the game the most. So it's a pretty valid argument in all truth

@@laudy76 THIS is how you retain a player base.
It’s a really smart move on behalf of Massive to curry favour with the fans and show them what they’re capable of when funds and resources are committed.
IMO we’re still a good 4 years out from D3 going live, so keeping us engaged with this world they’ve created will be great segue once it lands.
To me at least, this is a phenomenal game, with an embarrassment of content and depth, it doesn’t need to get “better”, but the fact that it will is just icing on the cake.

I WAS SHOCKED during stream how many aspects they wanna improve!
    Big GG for all devs!
One thing i would like is PVE Dark Zone rotations, they mentioned that during stream but doesn't look it's coming, unless there are opinions under PTS to add something like that, we would be in favor of it, they could make super tanky enemies, slightly worsen loot and that could be it! So many players would enjoy that.
It awesome to be part of active game and being hyped about updates and changes!

I remember playing this game a few years ago on PS4 I got quite far had all the DLC and absolutely loved the game... It was such a blast. I've had a PC for about a year now and completely forgot about Division 2 and all the fun I had. It went on offer a few days ago on Steam and I instantly bought it, already played so much. It is so amazing to see such a brilliant game still getting love nearly 8 Years after its release. So looking forward to these new updates and improvements. Hopefully all this love and support goes far and brings more players to the Division Community.

🎉The game barely has any monetization aside from the expansion (which you can get for dirt cheap with a sale), some cosmetics, and season passes (which I've never felt locked away too much content). These devs are putting SO much work into the game, and yet have asked us for so little! High praise to the team, and honestly I wouldn't even be mad if they added more paid systems into the game to help monetize it. Thank you so much for this INCREDIBLE game that has had me DEEPLY immersed into this amazing story countless times. ❤

    • @NoblessObligee
      @NoblessObligee 10 месяцев назад +1

I agree, They have been good with that. Season leveling is easy and doable to get to 100. Cosmetic skins in store are optional, events give a chance to get some of the set. 160+ levels in a week or two is a bit much for casual play (plus the not getting keys bug still persists) should be a key every 3 levels instead of 4, summit farm and how they did us players I'll never forgive or forget.
Lastly, don't ever bring up more monotization as something you don't mind. Especially promoting it in a game that doesn't have much of it, so little that it's unnoticed or really cared about. Like an unspoken word.
Leave the microtransactions to COD Fortnight and the Disgraced Halo Monotization Infinite. Just don't, it's an ignoramus though.

On the mod situation, I'm REALLY hoping that won't apply to GEAR mods, cause if so it'll pretty much ruin all of my builds. Not to mention the pushed back updates and what pushing back store/ gameplay content that only lead to. Which was more issues and problems. And speaking abut that, this past months I was having great ideas for a possible future Spec revamp like for example: D50 handgun of Survivalist would be way more usueful with Demo, cause using the Mortar turret always applies bleed to enemies. Or Survivalist grandes with Firewall.

Like other commenters have pointed out, this makes the game way better for us (fixing bugs especially will give us quality of life improvements). But from the way things have been talked about, it sounds like the developers have also modernized some of their software and processes, so they're out of that rut that many of us have felt that parts of the game have been in for a while. This might just make the game more easy to work on, and therefore, make the team working on the game happier. That's the best takeaway for me.

I'm glad that they're doing this because it's better to fix what u have then put out new content that can create new bugs. Also the PvP changes, chief's kiss. I hate with a passion that solo player's can get demolished by 4 player team (in the dz) with 0 chances of getting 1 kill/down (unless u have maxed out gear). Last thing, descent, I'm excited because I need like 50 BP (one of them being emperor's guards) and it takes me 45 minutes to 1 hour to get to and kill the nemesis just for the 50% drop for the reconstruction cache.

As a returning player, I absolutely welcome the changes they patched in, especially the PVP changes and the skill mod inventory space. If the mod inventory space works, perhaps it can be carried over to the gear mods as well. Lord knows we carry way too many mods that are only used for certain builds. The expertise and optimization cost reductions are a boom to hear (makes it less grindy) and being able to reroll the 3rd attribute of exotic weapons is golden but I agree on the point that everyone would just roll Dmg to targets out of cover so making it harder to get the rolls you want on an exotic is a good albeit temporary way from making the attribute being saturated in the game. I would say increasing the cost of rerolling the 3rd attribute on exotics (similar to the recalibration table in Div 1) would be a great way to prevent the attribute from being saturated imho as it forces players to farm for credits and resources to reroll the exotic to their specifications. Weapon buffs are nice to hear but some nerfs should be thrown in also, especially for the RPM of the incursion SMG (at least for me). Overall, Project Resolve really lays the foundation that can be used currently and for Division 3. With Div 3 being too early to tell so far, they can use what they learned from Project Resolve and put it to use for the foundations of Div 3. Hoping for the best for both games.

I'm glad they are working on the stability of the game. Increasing the brand bonuses after the 1 piece will make it worth a bit more for some players with no exotics or named items. But making so the exotics can be rolled, I think that might backfire. I like the fact that every time you get an exotic, the stats are the same 3 stats and not random, so you know what you are getting. I do like the revamp of the skill mods, that has been so annoying. Some skills just has more variations and has to have more mods while other barely has more then 1 and only has 2 slots. We only have 100 slots in the backpack to hold them all and I'm already up to 98. With the expansion they added a bunch of new skills but the slot count stayed pretty much the same, so we had to get rid of a bunch of mod for the older skills to make way for the new one. Reducing the cost for optimization and expertise is a good but from what I can see it still a bit high to me. What they need to do is make decent have better rewards. Going through all that only to get a bunch of caches with random rewards just doesn't feel right.

    Questions/comments I have in n particular order..
    1. Skill mods, so we no longer get maxed out dups, so now I can't share a maxed out dup with a friend or one of my other toons? I'd much rather just keep or delete my dups as I choose.
    2. They mentioned play test for console players but only with a level 40 toon? what is that about?
    3. They features for putting out fire and bleed should be across the board and not just PVP.
    4. Not a fan of locking weapons and gear to certain game modes, instead those modes should have vanity items tied to them, they could have dozens for all I care.
As you do more vids on this topic I will definitely have more question/comments/concerns as my head is on overload as there was a lot there to soak in and getting ready to go on vay-cay until Jan 2.

      1. I don't know how sharing would work with this new system, will need to be tested

Id much rather they turned the whole mod system into something like the recal library or weapon mods and give us back those 100 inventory spaces previously taken up with mods. You just sacrifice a higher mod (or it adds it automatically) and then you can make/slot as many as you want in whatever gear or skill.

Its nice to see they are still supporting D2. Only shame i cant play that game anymore. I've tryed so many times to get back to it and catch up with the content but second i enter any safe house i see people with 10k+ SHD and then i see mine around 180 and instantly dont want to play anymore. Maybe its becuase i have no one to play with anymore and im tired of playing solo and sadly thats not just an issue of D2. R6 Siege is practically unplayable due to server issues resulting in constant matchmaking and connection errors for many people especially when i premade group and due to that everyone who was still willing to play with me have quit all games from Ubisoft that still have multiplayer of sorts including those that were basically terminated for multiplayer last year. Only thing some of them are still willing to play is League of Legends not because its a good game but because there is pretty much no barrier to entry but i cant play that anymore either. I never had stability issues with D2 as much as i can remember but on the cheater issues did they move to R6 Siege after getting banned on D2? Because there is so many of them in there right now.

Hey wanted to comment sooner but I decided to go deep on Descent today (got BSd by Rogues on loop 25 ugh...)
Initially I was salty when they announced the delay , but I also realized something; This coming Summer is going to be LOADED, in particular that is when The First Descendant comes out at last, so it's actually kinda smart on their part to dodge that - there is a good amount of hype behind that game and rightly so. Diablo 4 should also be getting it's major rework to itemization around then and if talk is to be believed it's gonna put the game on everyone's radar big time.
But more importantly than all of that, this is something us Division veterans have been begging and pleading for FOR YEARS. Rogue, honestly how many times have I said in your own stream comments that the game desperately needs a big balance pass? Well we're finally getting it and I am loving the bulk of these changes.
The only bits I'm concerned about (and I've not read the patch notes) are the Descent changes. I really don't think weekly rotations will fix the problem, it could actually make it even worse - particularly if the list isn't curated and just done by an algorithm.
If they're not going to nerf enemies like they should, then they at least need to buff a lot of the talents (they should do that anyway) as many of them are redundant or have strictly better options. Skill selection is also a major problem, and if they want to shorten runs they should change the mode to actually favor rather than punish multiplayer (enemy HP scaling is absurd) anyhoo I could write a whole dissertation on how to fix Descent lol.
I'm just glad they are finally making the effort to fix the game because it is as overdue as this comment is long XD (sorry)

I would like to think that Massive saw what Bungie was doing with their episodes after final shape and figured 'Let's try that, but let's do it now and fix everything before the adding the dlc.'
I'm glad to see they are gonna improve the Optimization costs and hopefully the crafting costs. Many new players are under the belief you can take a low stat gun and craft it with care to max. The ingame economy as it stands doesn't support that style in my opinion. I am looking forward to what comes from this new roadmap.

Something super trivial, but gear dye and gear skins not sticking with it reverting. 1st world problems, but why have all the gear skins and apparel if it just changes randomly, reverts back, and other weird effects like color changes....
Weapon balancing is going to be tricky, and saying that they're going to buff underperforming weapons to bring them inline will likely end like this: Weapons that were performing will feel weaker, and likely there will be (probably many) cases where the guns that were buffed are now stronger than the others that weren't.
IMHO, the biggest problem with Damage to out of cover is it really should just be removed to compensate OR have it innate to each weapon regardless.
One way they could do this is to get rid of the Weapon Damage and replace it with DToC. Everyone's going to roll 15% on a weapon and run DToC in almost every case. The alternative is to provide a useful alternative like skill related attributes like Skill Haste, healing, or skill damage. One could make the argument that its not realistic to have an attribute like that, but they already do on the Capacitor...as you fire, your skill damage goes up, or on high-ends you trigger a talent. If its always the 3rd attribute that can be rerolled, make the 3rd attribute more diverse and allow people to roll it for a specific build...that is how talents rerolls largely work.
I believe just baking in the extra 15% weapon damage into the gun....maybe change it to maxing out @ 15% when the weapon becomes proficient would even make sense. And when you are proficient with the gun, every one you get is automatically max 15% damage. There is just no situation where anyone is okay with a weapon not being max damage. I actually believe the same for armor on gear, though for specific builds, people often roll it off like running a hybrid striker with skill tiers. Though I believe it would be easier and cleaner to have max armor innate to the armor piece when proficient. The we could placeholder that main attribute for something else...that can be build related or just removed. The reason I would like to see it go this route is that adding armor doesn't actually reduce incoming damage. It just adds more hit points to your armor...that's it. If they changed the blue major attribute to something like Reduces incoming damage by X%, it would make more sense as a tank build.
