  • 2 for 1 VIDEO... Steam Fried and Pressure Cooked Filet Mignon done in the same Ninja Foodi Smartlid... or... the ONE LID WONDER as I call it. Both recipes turned out really well...I did prefer the steam fried over the pressure cooked but barely... and probably because I did the pressure cooked one to a Well Done temp... on purpose...to see if it was a good method to cook one that far.... surprisingly... yes it was... but they were both excellent as you can see on the videos.

Rest for much longer and cook at a lower end temp.

Hey John, since you are just using the steam function. I wonder if the wireless Meater Probe would work. I have the same Ninja you have but I do not have the one with the probe. When I use the sous vide method, I always use a home-style torch this way you do not dirty other items.

Are you using map gas or propane?

I use map gas because it gets a little hotter but regular propane works really good too... I'm not sure about the Meater in a steam cook...I doubt it would handle it though.

It's came from thermoworks...a special addition that contributed to the homeless...

Great video! Using a torch is a very manly way to cook meat, lol, next time use more flux ;)
