THANK YOU finally another honest hairdresser! yes when the ends are sparse like that, they do blend SO MUCH BETTER. i have this ocd pet peave thing, the sharp shelf line in some peoples hair after just getting extensions. like, why didnt you thin that out? it looks BAD. i will actually go in on my own hair with a pair of thinning sheers and take out the split ends and weight from the last half inch of my hair just so my long extensions blend better. you're going to eventually trim that little bit off anyway, why go through all the trouble and money of getting good extensions if you're not going to blend them properly? it looks very unprofessional and makes the nice extensions look fake as hell.
Awesome video, thank you! So many people don't show how they tie the ends off, I'm self taught and that was the only thing I wasn't sure about lol so thanks again!
Your welcome! I feel like I can't get a good enough view of it so it's hard to share in detail but I'm glad this helps!
I go over the ends a few times have seen people glue the knots too I’m too scared to do that though lol
The sewing part that you're not explaining is the part no one will give up. I love to see a video where you only talk about the sewing.
I understand! And it’s not that I “don’t want to give it up” it’s that I literally can’t accurately film or describe it. My camera shot can’t get up close enough. You have to literally be standing directly to the side, not feet back, to see how exactly it’s done. This isn’t like foiling or a color which you can see so much clearer. Obviously I don’t mind sharing cause I love to be helpful but in the same hand I don’t say anything or do anything that I can’t give you my best. And I can’t show HERE in the best way.
I think the i-tip extensions allow the hair to be pulled into high or low ponytails. Basically the hair can move in any direction and not limited like the hand tied wefts. That's my opinion. BTW, her hair was gorgeous.
Yes. Ive done those too and have worn them also. She's still able to wear them in different high/ low styles. I tip is just so time consuming. I don't have many clients wanting those anymore. But just preference
@@hairbykristijennings6648 thank you for responding. I didn't think you would. BTW I love watching your videos.
I thought one of the benefits of having extensions like this was being able to do whatever with your hair because it's more undetectable.
Flat tip are so much nicer than I tip. I have several clients that get them. They lay so much flatter to the head than I tip and have that full range of motion. I love them.
Hers blend in so well
Love your video. Your great at explaining and I love your thought process to things. Such an easy listen video to!
This method has been put for awhile.
It’s called waterfall handtied
Amazing! What brand of wefts are you using? I would like to get certified in weft extensions. Which program would you recommend and where could I get the tools?
Without having to use the tape in extensions you could also use the i-tip extensions or flat tip extensions around the hairline.
Yes! I love that you guys mention this. So many stylists do not pay enough attention to the front; all the weight is in the back. The bangs are sometimes a dead giveaway that it's extensions!
Your the best
I totally agree about trimming the ends. I did my own tape ins for a long time and ONCE I trimmed my hair while the extensions were out (I was just reinstalling) and I was shocked at how obvious it was . It was a terrible mistake.
Thank you for sharing. At the back looks perfect! Absolutely right with no need to trim the ends. May I suggest that instead of doing a second horse shoe at the top to actually use two pieces on each side going diagonally( one end higher than the end facing the ear) in order to allow the hair to fall forwards and to give a fuller effect on the sides of the face
My stylist wants to do one row but double he weft up will this be ok my hair is thin
@@aprilcloyce7426 I would say no. If your hair is thin, They should only be doing one as it will look odd and fake and it will put too much pressure on your hair depending on how you get it put in. The amount of hair in ratio must match the amount of hair you have and scalp size
My ends are a little bit like that and my stylist said it was perfect for extensions, which we were also talking about doing. My hair is just below my shoulders, though and feel like it wouldn't blend with longer extensions- especially since I don't regularly curl my hair. Do you have any recommendations on the best hand tied brand?
I use platform. They're more expensive, the hair alone was just under $700 to buy. Im still trying new brands tho. Your hair should blend with longer hair if done correctly and blended.
@@hairbykristijennings6648 i just worry because I have some pretty short layers. But I guess if you're doing 2-3 rows, you could probably layer them, too. I just want long hair again 😭 lol
that's definetly doable with this technique i have a blunt short bob and wear 22 inch extensions, it's all possible when blended correctly :)
It would definitely blend. The only time it wouldn’t really blend is if it’s in a short bob or very choppy and thick and the ends but then they would blend that

So goooood ♥️
Who to fallow? Zack? I can’t find them and I think it’s because I’m not sure what your saying the last name is.
Can you write me his full name please because I tried and couldn't find him in instgram
Platinum posse is his private group.
How many wefts in each row? Please and it looks great!
It varies, but typically 5
GREAT GREAT JOB!!! TY!❤
I need a hairdresser like you in Miami 🤩
Hi there! How do you move these extensions up? Does it need to be completely redone everytime?
Hello! I haven't really gone in depth about this service cause it's so hard to capture everything and explain with voice over..... I really want to be able to clearly share and explain to someone and don't feel like I can do that over camera so that's why I'm kinda vague... but yes, take out and reinstall every 6-8 weeks.
Just a “Dusting trim 1/4 of an inch Called a Dusting trim”
How many grams of hair did you use
What brand (or country of origin were her extensions from), and what price range should the service cost? Thank you for any answers and suggestions.
She has platform hair extensions, the cost of hair is roughly $450 / bundle. If I buy the hair, the service is $1,250+.
This is my biggest issue is knowing what to charge fairly but make what we should. And if client brings hair it’s usually something from Amazon and or Sally’s and was told that hair won’t stay nice. I thought about getting into them again is why I’m watching videos again I just love how extensions look just have to make sure the client gets it and does the Maintenance❤
im curious if you go behind each bead? or do you just see all the connected hair ? i hope you understand what im saying lol. i learned jz and we have a lot of beads and go to left , in back and to the right of the bead. i lived watching u
Oh yeah! I go behind the bead too......
I have a question…you seem to know what ur doing, so here goes. Can people with abt an inch of hair get those extensions? Or wud a wig be better
Hello! I would honestly recommend a wig. The short hair will with stick straight out and not blend so essentially it will look like a mullet…
Thank you for the video love it, I really love your apron where can I get one?
Thank you! My sweet coo worker made it for me! Check out, PNW rainy day on Instagram for personal orders. She’s amazing!
My stylist wants to do one row but double the weft up will that be ok on thin hair
Yes, I use 5 wefts sometimes in one row
@@hairbykristijennings6648 had them done my head is tender and uncomfortable is this normal. When will the pain go away
@@aprilcloyce7426 yes normal to feel tender for the first 2 days.
Omg I had great lengths extensions several times and the pain it caused to my head not to mention the amount of damage from getting the glue out was horrific! I haven’t checked I wonder if they’ve stopped doing it that way 🤔
Maybe you can choose the extensions without any chemical material, you can check the products in Markethairextension, they have great extensions.
Sounds like you didn’t get them removed properly
These extensions are really pretty, however i like the individuals the best instead of tracks cause you can wear your hair in any style and part it in any direction. But this color is awesome!
I agree! I use to do those more.... I don't know how I'd feel about a whole weft wrapped around my head lol clients love them tho!
Do you have a link to purchase wefts

Do these extensions hurt when they grow out? I can't help but think at the beginning when you are removing the old extensions that it looks like its pulling and very heavy....
Where do you get the tool to put on the the bead & where or what size of bead? I'm watching your choice tutorial because I'd like to put some extensions in my hair.
I just hand tied extensions and I'm obsessed with them!! I love the tape ins in the sides idea! As a platinum blonde, I'm loving this outcome!
What do you charge for this without the color?
I’ve always been curious about the cost associated with having extensions?
How long are the extension you are using in this video? And about how tall is your client?
She’s probably 5’5 roughly and 22 inches
@@hairbykristijennings6648 hiya, how many grams is each track you installed?
So do you only bleach and tone the hair on top that you can see? And not the hair underneath?
I completely agree with not cutting her hands because it lends into the extension perfectly wait if you decide to cut I would suggest point cutting slide cutting but not a Blunt cut
That’s some seriously damaged hair, get a hair mask on that, and stop bleaching it
Love watching ur channel! 👌
Thank you so much!
I need this so bad I am going blonde! Too bad I live so far away from you.
I have seen this before without string and with I get what you are saying
Where can I find that Zack you talk about online?
If curve the extension at the top front like a semi circle I will hide the front
this was literally the best video i've seen on this topic.
i really want to do this but i like the comfort of coming home and taking my clip ins off. i clip them in a cornrow braid across my head. or can i clip into a beaded row? i only do one row in this U shape and it doesn't blend :/ .. any help?
Is this the invisible bead extensions method?
IBE?
I Love that you are making these videos. I am a licensed cosmetologist and have specialized in extensions for 18 years. I have no time to go and do an in person class since having 3 kids and homeschooling them all lol. I only do a few extension clients from home now but love that you have made it possible for me to try a new type of extension on my clients. Thanks girl!

That does sound so bad but it’s 💯 true
Exactly! 🤷♀️🤷♀️ better blend! ♥️♥️
Super cool method, very easy to see👌 How about the tension in the front? Do you see hair being pulled when the client come back for a reinstall? I feel that area is super sensitive on clients with fine hair.
Great work 🌟🌟🌟
Do you use a specific type of bead
No, just buy off Amazon….
I know you sew around the strand of hair you created but do you also sew through the bead or do you go around it
The bead is closed, so around it
super! what you use glue for?
It helps secure the tie after knotting
I think I cut the string where my extension was tied I'm scared the string is going to start coming undone
Where do you buy your hair
Fresh flip hair, jz styles, just depends what I’m looking for….
Hi kristi your coloring is an inspiration truly. What brand micro link pliers do you use please.
Thank you for sharing!
It's so beautifully done!
Where to buy weft hair extensions?
Zach who? How is his last name spelled? I can’t find him on Instagram
His account got hacked a while ago! But check out platinum posse on Instagram. It’s his private account.
what glue do you prefer? Do you ever get scared it will get on the natural hair?
How long are the extensions
What type of hairstylist encourages split ends
If her hair was so bad that they were totally split, we’d cut them off….. but just because the hair grows longer and sparse thru the ends doesn’t mean it’s split….. my wording may have been off. But a blunt weight line is harder to blend.
Beautiful job!
What hair do you suggest to buy?
Good
🥰🥰
Where do you buy the needle the thread? How long of thread so you use for each track of hair? What brand of extensions do you prefer?
And where do you buy the beads? What brand are they?
Your video is great 😊
You’re the best
I love the way you do
Thank you so much
Where are you at
What city is she at
I’m in wa state, an hour north of Seattle
@@hairbykristijennings6648 oh wow!! I’m in California I’m sorry
I don’t do hair extensions in my salon but very interesting to watch! Hello from the uk 🇬🇧 anyway ☺️
I'm still kinda slow at them but hopefully will get faster!
What brand of hair do you use
This is platform hair extensions
According to my personal experience, the products of Parahair are of great quality, i used their products for many years and they provide good service for customers.
Please ..What is the formulation of this hair color ❤
With all of love 💛
Hello! I left a link in the description of this video service for the bleach and tone part of this appt. Thank you for watching!
lol no it does not match at all lol. Looks great but stop with the madness. Real hair was too toned it had purple tint. Weft was very yellow compared to the real purple toned hair.
When I say you can’t see where her hair is and the extensions are, meaning there’s no shelf or heavy weight line in the hair that sometimes you see with extensions. It blends perfectly. She and I talk about the color. She likes over toning because she knows with 2 washes the over tone will fade and she’ll just be a bright blonde. Vs not being cool when she leaves and the blonde warming up too fast. It’s not madness. It’s deliberate.
I have short hair (above my collar bone) what size extension would you recommend I get to make sure it blends well ?
Depends on hair thickness not length as they would blend it
Words to use: over , under, thru, above, below …. and maybe even a different colored thread 🪡… thanks!!!!
This video is great on mute 🤐 love the stitch work
Kasotymn😭
Hi should I get a license to do that with clients ?
Awesome method will have to try it out 💜
Thank you!
