I’m a licensed educator who teaches this method and you’re adding too much hair. Put less hair into the bead so that the felled hair has room, otherwise depending on hair types/textures, you could end up with locs. Nice install technique though.
I've tried to do this method on myself before and I always struggled with pulling hair from under the weft once I'd clipped it in place. I never thought to pull the piece out FIRST and then pick it all up. So simple! Game changer, thank you :)
If you use a latch hook, you can insert it through the weft, grabbing the natural hair and weft hair in the hook, slide the bead on and clamp. It's far simpler than this method
@@NatalieJones-09 Doing deep U partings, clip a double weft in place, section out a thin "veil" of hair, draping it over the weft. Take your latchhook with beads loaded on it and go through the weft, ensuring you catch some of the bottom hair, some of the weft, and some of the top hair in the hook and slide your bead onto the hair, using your pliers adjust the bead to the appropriate position and clamp. Continue working your way around the weft till completed. Next you section out another thin veil of hair draping it over the completed weft. secure your next double weft on top of this section. Section out another veil of hair and drape it over your weft. With your hook, ensuring that you catch all three layers, install your next bead. Typically 2 rows of double weft will be enough extension for a style, but for extra volume you can do an additional 3 layer section using either single or double wefts. So 2 or 3 tracks using 4-6 wefts for a full style
You explain and show this method so well. It's clear so we can see exactly what your doing and you explain it simple so it's not confusing. I'm not a hair stylist, I just do my own hair and this seems simple enough to do on my own. I used to use hair glue for my extensions but I don't want to damage my hair.
Thank you so much I really appreciate it . I myself couldnt find good clear videos when I was learning so I decided to make videos to try make it easier
@@hairbycaren well your's is probably the best videos explaining it. I like how you show a clear shot of what your doing and do it slowly so we can actually see it happening. Most people just speed through it, or don't have the camera at the right angle so you can't even see clearly what they're doing. You could have a video of you just showing it, without talking and it would still be easy to understand. The talking and explaining is also good.

@hairbycaren Great Job! ❤ I love it! What size of beads do you use? Is 3 mm Inner Diameter enough for own and weft hair? Thanks for this Important answer! 🤗
Hi, what size hair beads do you use? I haven’t been trying to do this method, but my threader that I have like you’re using it keeps breaking at the tip and then also the hair won’t fit in the beads.
Great easy video . One question is that on the sides how do you get it to not pop out . Especially if you double weft ? Thanks any advice appreciate it
, what I do is add a Piece from the front of the corner (end of weft), add a piece of clients hair from above like the video and add the extension hair/clients hair underneath like the video, then bead it. Or you can hand tied the corners after you do the application like the video. either or works great.
Hi there, I think this is great! Very easy to do, but I have some questions about this. Is this safe for very thin, curly, dry hair? I've been struggling to grow them for years and just given up at this point 😅 looking for some technique that wont damage hair too much. Also how many times do the beads need to be moved up before I have to change them completaly is there a limit to it? Many thanks
These are safe as long as they are installed correctly. You can get curly extensions to match your texture. They grow out with your hair so move up is usually 6-8 weeks
This is a great method but you need to make sure every section of the clients hair touches the last. If there are spaces in between their hair will tangle and make a huge mess. I also find it's better to just cradle the weft between the clients hair and not add any extension hair with it.
Hi. Can you explain your point better for us? A weft IS extension hair. I don’t understand how you can “just use client’s hair? How is that installing weft? I’m confused by your comment. Can you read it back to yourself carefully to see if maybe you made a typo?
You said you made a video about the ends -- it's not on your page and you haven't answered any of the comments asking-- just curious as I would like to see it! I also this is so much easier than NBR. great innovative way to do extensions.
I have sewn in wefts, which are similar to this. Sew- ins are the absolute best, I pay probably to 250 to 350 for the actual hair, lots of good Remy hair wefts available by numerous suppliers. My hair dresser charges around $250 to install and you have to get them moved up every 8 to 10 weeks. I love sew- ins. But machine weft or hand- tied, it doesnt matter but hand tied wefts are much less bulky. The only other sew in hair extensions that cost $1000+ to install are NBR- and they are pretty much the same thing but 5x as much- makes no sense to get NBR, just get regular sew -ins people. I dont damage my hair and my wefts dont budge until my next appt. I am mindful that I have them and I sleep with my hair in a braid to keep my hair from tangling.
2500?? That is unheard of. The only hair extensions I know of that are super pricey to install are Great Lengths. The salon you called had to of misunderstood you or they are robbing you blind. Most extension hairdressers charge 250 to 350 for initial sew-in installation. My hairdresser gives me a price break mainly because she knows I'm poor. Lol
@@jessiethehorse11My stylist charges $50/he. She said at her shop, they feel it should affordable (what would be affordable for them if they were going somewhere. ) I'm super happy with mine!
5mm beads seem too small for me to get that much hair through. Are their larger ones you would recommend or is 5mm the gold standard? Great video thank you!
I want to do this for my daughter, any specific hair I should purchase? Can she shower with them? How long can she leave them on for? Thank you guys for your help.. btw I saw some hair on Amazon would that do?
There are specific brushes meant for extensions, you may have seen them before and not realized what they were; the bristles are thinner plastic and instead of being a straight line coming to a point, each bristle is a loop, so the end attaches back down into the base. This means they do not grab anything, and instead bend when come into contact with knots/beads etc. It's much gentler yet still does the job of combing thru your hair nicely, maybe only a tiny bit slower.

No ones paying 500-1000 dollars or more for the sew in style. You can find good hair for less and they charge a ton for the service. I had a lady tell me 800 and I have my own hair and this has to be redone every month ain't no one paying 800 a month for HAIR. Sorry but u cant be a millionaire in hairstyling unless u work on celebrities. average people have other bills and still want to feel pampered. this style is actually the same as the sew in.
Lilly Patterson because she wants us to spend thousands with her and other hairdressers.
