      I feel that the pride is the fall because he rushed the surgery rather than wait for a good result understandably he’s a hard worker but he has to be very careful he was adamant that it would work fast and he was saying best hospital they’re not magic.

    As someone who has seizures, it was so nice to see them making the circle around him because it’s so embarrassing having a seizure or a medical emergency in general! And for no reason it’s hard to explain but yeah…

For me it's so scary to think about having a seizure because I have no clue what will happen and the people around me play a big part of whether I'm terrified going into one, or if I feel comfortable and ready to get it over and done with. If I don't know or like anyone near me, I might try to fight off my seizure which often leads to a worse one for me later on

      I had a seizure in public and it sucked. I was surrounded by people and when I finally came to I was immediately questioned by a cop. Made me have another right after

      i've had full blown asthma attacks in public my friends immediately cover it and help me out when that happens and i keep the medication in my pockets or my locker anyway and i give my friends that info.

      Something like this happened a while ago when a goalie took a skate to the neck and was bleeding out. Everyone including the fans where terrified but where willing to help. The goalie survived but it took over 100 stitches. And now we have neck guards from it.

    This is completely unrealistic the fact that nobody instantly started fighting right after that hit is just statistically impossible.

      What's unrealistic is the treatment. If you get a spinal chord injury, you have 24 hours to repair it to have any chance of reversing what could be permanent damage.

      Not really only if it's a spinal cord injury. If it's torn you could be Paralyzed, but with Physical therapy and work you would not be Paralyzed forever.

      According to the "Critical reception" section of the show's Wikipedia page, the series wasn't that well received by critics mainly due to its hyper unrealistic and stereotypical portrayal of medicine overwhelming the plot.

    For anyone wondering he got hit with a Hip check and it’s VERY ILLEGAL in hockey. This is an extreme case. But bad injuries have happened because of it and that’s why there so terrifying

    I never understand in medical tv dramas why the doctors are always shown to hesitate when asked a direct question like 'that's what this means right, I'm never going to play hockey again?' Yes! Yes the answer is yes that's exactly what it means
    Also she talks to him like he's an infant about core stability

      I'm not a doctor, but personally I don't like answering these types of questions because I'm worried about making people more agitated than they already are and I often find that rational thought is much harder to process when emotions run high.

    I have Hydrocephalus and Epilepsy. I really appreciated that the players on both teams put the game aside and focused on protecting him from being seen by lots of people. It can be very frustrating and embarrassing to have something happen around people.

    I'm still salty this show got cancelled..lol, I just binged it after this channel started posting clips and it was legit entertaining. Had the kinda medical stuff like other medical shows..but they could use the excuse of a billionaire and cutting edge technology to just get away with whatever they wanted to.

    ive had 2 hematomas in my life, my 2nd was golfball sized right above my eye, even bigger than that guys, but he seemed to get a soft spot. and I didnt luckily break it, if i did i would've had surgery.

      @@elee2387 Exactly. Also an epidural hematoma is inside the skull not outside so unless she drilled through the skin and into the skull, there would be no release of pressure and no reversal of symptoms.

    Hope people gain more respect to those who suffer from sleep paralysis. Not being able to move your body WHILST feeling like there is something sinister in the dark next to you is absolutely terrifying. I know we should be talking about the medical miracle this guy has but I thought this might also be kinda important.

    I'm constantly having to relearn how to do things with my body. I have a neurological disability so every so often I can suddenly have more brain damage or spinal damage. I'm always tired, and can often get a bit bitchy with my pain and everything. I'm 22 and I walk with a walking stick, or use a wheelchair depending on the day. The guys reaction here is very appropriate.

      So it's not hard to believe when you have a genius with billions of dollars, a facility with the world's most advanced technology in medical and technological fields and the worlds best minds in medicine and tech all in one building

    This is unrealistic for so many reasons. Like, his teammates would have instantly tried to beat the crap out of the player from the other team who caused this injury. Next, there's no way that a cameraman would just make his way onto the ice to film since there's security and tons of other staff who would prevent that from happen. Also, the fans would be very upset and not dead silent like they were in this..his teammates would also be incredibly freaked out...ugh, no wonder this show failed.

    any time i see ice hockey in a med show i always picture that clip (real one, btw) of the goalie getting his jugular sliced open and pouring blood onto the ice
    He needed upwards of 300 stitches. He nearly bled out on national television. A few players vomited on the ice (understandably) and someone had a heartattack

    He needs to learn how to be gratefull i hurt myself bad bad and i kept playing my sport and it hurt me more than i can ever admit my body functions poorly now and that was with permission to go back

    I doubt that one squirt of alcohol would sanitize that drill bit. In real life the patient would go into septic shock because bacteria would go right to his brain. Tools in the ER are autoclaved and are used in a clean area, not on an ice rink.
