When his pride gets in the way and she uses that to boost his encouragement instead of backing down... thats love
Wdym stop begging for likes they are just saying that the girlfriends loyal
100%. Perseverance and understanding is one thing so many people lack in relationships today
I feel that the pride is the fall because he rushed the surgery rather than wait for a good result understandably he’s a hard worker but he has to be very careful he was adamant that it would work fast and he was saying best hospital they’re not magic.
Love is everything people, people would die for love not exactly but you know what I mean
@Steve harrington do you want a boyfriend❤❤❤❤❤❤
That girl love and patience for her man is astounding.
I agree Billy's girlfriend could walk away completely and find someone new someone who's not paralyzed but she's not like those who do walk away from an injured or ailing partner she sticks it out like they say in wedding vows through sickness and in health for worse or for better
As someone who has seizures, it was so nice to see them making the circle around him because it’s so embarrassing having a seizure or a medical emergency in general! And for no reason it’s hard to explain but yeah…
It's even worse if they are a celebrity or if it happens at a large public event. There are paparazzi or cameras everywhere
Its embarrassing because its a time when you're completely vulnerable. Those times, if we were to have complete control of the situation, are times we would reserve for specific people
@@sarafalk2962 I agree. For me it's so scary to think about having a seizure because I have no clue what will happen and the people around me play a big part of whether I'm terrified going into one, or if I feel comfortable and ready to get it over and done with. If I don't know or like anyone near me, I might try to fight off my seizure which often leads to a worse one for me later on
I had a seizure in public and it sucked. I was surrounded by people and when I finally came to I was immediately questioned by a cop. Made me have another right after
i've had full blown asthma attacks in public my friends immediately cover it and help me out when that happens and i keep the medication in my pockets or my locker anyway and i give my friends that info.
Respects to both teams coming together to form a human screen of protection. I ain't never seen this show before but I think I found a new show to watch
It happen recently when that football player got hurt
Bills and Bengals did this
Something like this happened a while ago when a goalie took a skate to the neck and was bleeding out. Everyone including the fans where terrified but where willing to help. The goalie survived but it took over 100 stitches. And now we have neck guards from it.
This is completely unrealistic the fact that nobody instantly started fighting right after that hit is just statistically impossible.
What's unrealistic is the treatment. If you get a spinal chord injury, you have 24 hours to repair it to have any chance of reversing what could be permanent damage.
@@ScarletBrimstone tough to find accurate medical dramas lol, Scrubs/Chicago Med/ER are probably the only popular ones that's more than 80% accurate
@@UnsungAces yeah, I suppose I'm being nitpicky about it. 😅

I usually don't cry when it comes to medical shows, but that speech his girlfriend gave suddenly made me feel like someone was cutting onions
I like when NFL players and NHL players surrounded their teammates when they get get injured respect at all times like this
Anger is often the first part of suffering a permanent injury. The last is acceptance.
I broke my back in a bad car accident as a kid.. the pain is beyond words. This hits home.
Sorry if this offends you, but if you broke your back, are you paralyzed?
Not really only if it's a spinal cord injury. If it's torn you could be Paralyzed, but with Physical therapy and work you would not be Paralyzed forever.
This hits me so hard because I’ve been there on that bed Relearning everything. My fiancé never left my side
I hope you are ok now ❤
@@estebanscodanibbio3416 Thank you so much I’m definitely doing a lot better than what I was but unfortunately I still have a long way to go

he should have..... And you're so selfish on letting him
Its a real shame this only lasted one season. Had so much potential.
I agree
According to the "Critical reception" section of the show's Wikipedia page, the series wasn't that well received by critics mainly due to its hyper unrealistic and stereotypical portrayal of medicine overwhelming the plot.
one season, because it's fake af most likely.
@@ThePrincessCH Yea the show is really empty, just a buncha played up medical nonsense.
The main character just... irks me for some reason.
There's something about him that just gets under my skin. He really bothers me.
For anyone wondering he got hit with a Hip check and it’s VERY ILLEGAL in hockey. This is an extreme case. But bad injuries have happened because of it and that’s why there so terrifying
Hip checks aren’t illegal so long as the league is 13 and over atleast in Canada
This show just knows how to hit me right in the feels
I never understand in medical tv dramas why the doctors are always shown to hesitate when asked a direct question like 'that's what this means right, I'm never going to play hockey again?' Yes! Yes the answer is yes that's exactly what it means
Also she talks to him like he's an infant about core stability
I'm not a doctor, but personally I don't like answering these types of questions because I'm worried about making people more agitated than they already are and I often find that rational thought is much harder to process when emotions run high.
He needs to marry this girl. She is so supportive and sweet
This ending was a beautiful way to end this episode so glad that the ending turned out to be a miracle ❤
The most unrealistic part of this is the fact that they didn't immediately fall on thier ass while running out on the ice like that lol.
I love 💗 when NFL and NBA and MLB and NHL circle around or surrounded there teammates to protect them from the fans when ever they have to drill into wound to relevant the pressure on a wound
keep the good stuff coming, MDTV. You guys are champions
"Angie, how fast can you build that chip?"
"Couple of days."
"Wrong answer."
"Couple of hours."
"OK, let's do it!"
"OK, but it'll take a couple of days."
Real love outweighs pride
I have Hydrocephalus and Epilepsy. I really appreciated that the players on both teams put the game aside and focused on protecting him from being seen by lots of people. It can be very frustrating and embarrassing to have something happen around people.
I’m epileptic to. As completely unrealistic as all of this is, I do appreciate moments like this, too. I’ve had seizures in public. You have to hope things like that rub off.
I'm still salty this show got cancelled..lol, I just binged it after this channel started posting clips and it was legit entertaining. Had the kinda medical stuff like other medical shows..but they could use the excuse of a billionaire and cutting edge technology to just get away with whatever they wanted to.
It looks so bad lmao
Apparently, one of the reasons this series wasn't that well received by critics was the unrealistic and stereotypical portrayal of medicine overwhelming the story.

That's why hockey is a dangerous game
Such good sportsmanship here!
this was a really good show concept. wish it lasted for a longer time.
"Hello. I'm a Proctologist, let me take a look."
I grew up watching my step dad on the ice, playing hockey, back in the soviets times..even as a a kid I always felt like it's too dangerous ,as much as I enjoyed the sport..😖
this guy is like "Hey what if we made up some CRAZY medical breakthroughs that don't exist at all yet? You have two hours."
I love 💗 when MLB and NHL and MBA and NFL and FIFA players surrounded their teammates with injures to show the support and all times like 👍 this
5:52 the way he told his gf to leave just made me sad. I understand he was frustrated about his injuries, but the way she started crying just made me sad for her. She’s just trying to support him.
Beautiful
ive had 2 hematomas in my life, my 2nd was golfball sized right above my eye, even bigger than that guys, but he seemed to get a soft spot. and I didnt luckily break it, if i did i would've had surgery.
scary, mine was on my foot
I like 👍 when NBA and MLB and NFL and NHL players surrounded their teammates with injuries in emotional support and respect to their teammates with injuries
I understand the spinal cord injury, but how did he get that massive head hematoma with a helmet on?
That is an excellent question, didn’t notice that. Also she came to diagnostic conclusions way too quickly
@@elee2387 Exactly. Also an epidural hematoma is inside the skull not outside so unless she drilled through the skin and into the skull, there would be no release of pressure and no reversal of symptoms.
“BuT I cAn StIlL hOlD yOuRs”
I feel bad for this hockey star he just wanted the opportunity to the team and he had met his last life of almost dying he survived right after he got treated with careful doctors with helping hands
Good acting
Brenda Songs is so pretty. She'll always be London Tipton to me. 😍
a drill at a game into his skull? Doctors or not, hmm, I've worked in emergency care for over 15 years. I don't think so.
My dad has dealt with a broken back for years because everyone refuses to give him surgery so every night, he can’t sleep because he’s in so much pain
Anyone know where you can watch eps of this? I've checked like every streaming site
“How unrealistic do you want this show to be?”
“Yes”
Hope people gain more respect to those who suffer from sleep paralysis. Not being able to move your body WHILST feeling like there is something sinister in the dark next to you is absolutely terrifying. I know we should be talking about the medical miracle this guy has but I thought this might also be kinda important.
First of all, the teammates wouldn’t just be standing there as soon as he fell. He would be SURROUNDED by his teammates, and they would be rushing to call the trainers over.
I'm constantly having to relearn how to do things with my body. I have a neurological disability so every so often I can suddenly have more brain damage or spinal damage. I'm always tired, and can often get a bit bitchy with my pain and everything. I'm 22 and I walk with a walking stick, or use a wheelchair depending on the day. The guys reaction here is very appropriate.
Gotta say never thought London Tipton would be a doctor. She really proved she was much more than an airhead.
Mosby would be soo proud 😂😂😂 from prndl to a Dr
Shiiddd after that fall I wouldn’t even wanna play hockey again😭😭
when there is a severe injury on the ice there is always a doctor which is usually from the home team
She has potential as an actress. He will do fine in public theatre.
As a therapist in a level two trauma center, no. Just no
are you trying to say you wouldn't drill into someone's skull with a dirty wood drill??? 😆
@@kyle18934 I was more referring to them developing a functional nerve stimulation sleeve in-house when developers have been trying to make similar estim devices for years, but that too!
@@elee2387 keep inind that the entire premise of this show is basically
"Genius billionaire gets disease that will. Destroy his mind, builds the world's most advanced hospital and hires the world's most genius doctors and technological minds to help find a cure for him while simultaneously helping countless other people"
So it's not hard to believe when you have a genius with billions of dollars, a facility with the world's most advanced technology in medical and technological fields and the worlds best minds in medicine and tech all in one building
@@elee2387 ah ok, I didnt bother listening to all of their medical stuff because I was thinking it would all be fake anyways lol
@@elee2387 It's a fucking tv show though, why does it matter if it follows realism 100% lol
The guys face when she drilled into his head 😂😂😂😂😂
Does anyone else miss this show?
no. It sucked
Hey, that's the gal from "Royal Pains." So she went on to be a doctor. Good for her!
Sometimes you cannot be optimistic
What is this show? Is it set in the future?
This is unrealistic for so many reasons. Like, his teammates would have instantly tried to beat the crap out of the player from the other team who caused this injury. Next, there's no way that a cameraman would just make his way onto the ice to film since there's security and tons of other staff who would prevent that from happen. Also, the fans would be very upset and not dead silent like they were in this..his teammates would also be incredibly freaked out...ugh, no wonder this show failed.
I mean, it's a medical drama, not a genuine hockey game. While all points are true, that really isn't the point of the show.
Man...its just a tv show! Don't have a heart attack!

It’s terrifying how brutal these injuries get. Look what happened to the guy who accidentally got his neck sliced open by a skate, he bled to death on the ice.
🤣🤣🤣 this is just ridiculous
I hope he can play hockey again
any time i see ice hockey in a med show i always picture that clip (real one, btw) of the goalie getting his jugular sliced open and pouring blood onto the ice
He needed upwards of 300 stitches. He nearly bled out on national television. A few players vomited on the ice (understandably) and someone had a heartattack
Look it up if you dont believe me
Clint Malarchuk...I read his autobiography. He had way more to deal with than just a cut throat.

I doubt that one squirt of alcohol would sanitize that drill bit. In real life the patient would go into septic shock because bacteria would go right to his brain. Tools in the ER are autoclaved and are used in a clean area, not on an ice rink.
