Very nice video .. easily the best I've found for learning AAR with the Mirage. Very nice touch on your part, giving away the practice mission for us to practice :) Thanks a lot.
Great video! Most helpful. Particularly about the encouragement of keep trying and work at it. I have not yet accomplished this but will continue practicing.
The AAR is finally fixed, awesome! Now, with GBU-12s and AAR the M2C is quickly becoming my favorite model.
+audax333 Yes, it is a nice bird, isn't it? I am very eager for the INS and the updated radar though. Still a point where the Mirage lacks a bit.

+Paul Cory Yeah, the whole aircraft needs a bit of a texture update. The russian IL-78 tanker (that also works with the Mirage) has much better looking baskets.

They are getting there slowly, but yeah, that one could definitely do with some TLC.
Great work John! Aerial Refuelling is something i never really tried. I mostly fly the Su-25A. Looks like fun tho and a great challenge! Again great work!
+LordOfNomNom Yes AAR is awsome. In my opinion probably one of the hardest things you can attempt in DCS. But give it a go, definatelly fun as well!

+Faroff Haha, yeah that would be a challange indeed! Haven't flown the F-15 or the A-10C in ages, so I will probably have to learn on how to fly those again first :P

+The Duck Pond Yeah, it is a challange indeed! Do you use any curves? 10 on all axis helped me out quit a bit.

Nice little series on the M-2000, do you plan to do any more? A navigation video would be nice if you find the time. Using the cannon effectively also seems to be an acquired skill in this one. Great module however, credit to Razbam, I'm really looking forward to their Harrier...
Thanks! Actually I have been thinking about doing maybe another couple of videos about the M-2000C in some time, as a lot of updates have brought some new interesting aspects that I could talk about. I will look into making a navigation video as well!
The Harrier will be very interesting as well. I am excited to find out how the hovering and all that will work!

You should use the Police Mode to track the tanker on Radar for approach. It deactivates any weapon you got.
+Jarama Gaming HD Yes, very good point! Actually I was planning to do so, and I also did in a couple of takes for the video. However, in the end it didn't make the video because I didn't want to overcomplicate things and I will probably have a dedicated video on that stuff once the radar gets it's update!
+xxJohnxx Alright, by the way did you recorded this before the last update? It looks like so as you have no interception director displayed when you lock the tanker (another nice feature to get to pre-contact quickly). I read that you're planning for a buddy lasing and JTAC video next, i might have few tips for that, practised it a lot lately... I'll see you on the comments there ;)

I did record that video yesterday evening, about 2-3 hours bevore uploading. If I am not mistaken the interception director only shows up if you have either Master Arm on or you are using the Police Mode?
Any tips would be appricated for the upcoming video would be appricated! I am by no means an expert, so I am happy with any suggestion on how to perfect procdeures ;)
+xxJohnxx One recommendation I would make would be how to set up a JTAC in the mission builder. This can become quite complicated and was a major source of frustration for me when I was trying to figure it out because it seemed everyone did things differently and much of the information out there is incorrect.
+GreyMaulkin Yeah I guess I will make a second follow-up video explaining that. Have been playing arround with the JTAC yesterday evening, was to late to record anything though! Hopefully I got some time in the next couple of days.

Nice video. What type of tanker are you using and did you have to add advance triggers in mission editor? Looks like the link to mission no longer works.

I am using the Russian Tanker as it has the Droge Chute. The American "aicraft carrier tanker" also uses the same system.
The KC-135 has a boom that is not compatible with the M-2000C.

for some reason my tanker will never replay me on pre-contact request. I used a mission from internet and that one was working but I can't make it work in my missions
Does your UHF frequency match the tanker freq?
im thinking of getting of getting this plane do you recommend? also when coming in to refuel can you use trim to fine tune before you connect?
+a small turtle It is a nice aircraft! Especially when all the features get implemented (like the currently only partially working radar or the INS) it will be one of the top modules. So I suggest, if you like this type of aircraft (interceptor with limited ground striking capability) yes!
Yes, you can use trim before and during refuelling.

Yeah, the bigger aircraft makes it a bit easier to hold formation. I hope we get a proper NATO basket tanker soon though. I guess we will get either a KC-135 modifcation or another tanker with the F-18.

Usually no curves for any module!
Please try to refuel the F-15C it is really pain in the ass
Guys try to fly formation with the pod not with the cage!!!!!!!!!!!
