This is the absolute best explanation I've seen yet! How do the Futaba transmitters compare to the EX-6 and other high end transmitters for the Evo's. I can't wait for the comparison vid.
Love your mini-z passion and helping the community understand all the nuances that aren't always clear with people. I don't live close to the UK but I hope the website launch is going to be smooth and productive! On the topic of transmitters, I don't have a ton of experience like you as I only use the kt-531p and radiolink rc4gs. Recently, I looked into this, but unsuccessfully, whether kt-531p can bind with anything other than ffhs mini-z since I'd really like its compact size for travel.
Yes its always when you discover something new about a car you have that the fun starts.... A simple adjustment and you have a different car... So much fun.
Great video right here. I did hours of research trying to figure out what you said in 13 minutes. Its all a little confusing with all the different models out there.
I’m pretty sure you can also use a lot of the KO Propo transmitters. I use a EX-2 to control my MHS cars and it can switch between Mini Z and regular RC receivers. This is a great video since it’s a little hard to find this info. Thanks!
Hey there, You didn't touch on Futaba and Kyosho use/compatibility.. is that because you don't have those or because they aren't as good as those shown? Side question; my local shop has a mr03 Evo sp.. I'm considering it as my first mini. Will I be able to race and drift it (home use)?
I may be a bit late here but does anyone know of any alternative (preferably cheaper) controllers that can be used in place of a KT-18? I lost my controller a long time ago and I want to get my mini Z running again but I don’t want to break the bank. Anyone have any suggestions?
Looking to buy the Jeep crawler but I'm sorry to see that the throttle isn't as gradual as I would like (seeing various comparos). Looks like I'm looking for a transmitter upgrade to KT432PT to get a custom curve? Would that work to get a very gradual response for low-speed fun?

Hi am new to mini z(and basically the world of RC cars)here. I’m wondering if it’s possible to use other txrx like Futaba or such as the receiver units don’t look like they fit onto any kyosho models. Hi garageRC. I have a MA-020, and love it. I am using it to race with friends on a private carpet track. I have the kt531 controller. I am finding the right turning is weak (due to the battery mass on the left I presume...). My question is, are you suffering this issue? And is this issue mitigated at all with the synchro-touch controller? Considering building a MA-3 but since I have a nice sanwa for 1/10 racing I'm tempted to go BZ3 and ditch mini-z due to their awful compatibility with sanwa.
Synchro controller does help as it gives adjustalbe end points and more steering control. If you want to get serious then don't waste time with synchro save the money for a race set chassis like gla or bz3 and go sanwa or nb4.
So overall which is the best one just for the evos, and what’s the difference between the nb4 and kyosho touch screen for this car, which one performs the best
