Congratulations to all Central Americans and to all Nicaraguans. But especially congratulations to Shennys. I had my eyes fixed on Nicaragua and Philippines since the very beginning because they are both gorgeous and most unique looking but i had a feeling that Nicaragua would win because of her charismatic energy and that it is held in Central America. Thailand most beautiful of the top 5 but she does not have that charismatic energy that Nicaragua possesses…sort of similar to catriona harnaaz Diana memdoza energy. The one that possesses that charismatic energy usually wins. Very happy Nicaragua won but disappointed that Philippines didn’t make top 5 because she is more beautiful and have better oratory than half of the top 5. She has the zozi beauty brain and elegance

Miss Nicaragua is indeed deserving of the Crown. Miss Philippines, as you have pointed out, should have ideally been in the Top 5 because of her outstanding overall performance, truthfully realistic advocacy and because of being truly her unique and authentic self. Three of the women who did not make your top 20 list were on my list. Namibia (face of Africa) and Pakistan were two. However, South Africa was my only candidate from the continent to make my top ten. The person I was most excited about was Nepal. Among the top seven, Venezuela was least expected. We agree about the top 10 since my top five were chosen among them. Five of the women in the top ten clearly deserved to be there - they all did, I'm sure, but I liked five of them really well - four made it to the top five. Philippines was very deserving (not over-hyped) so I was disheartened when she did not make the final cut. I am thrilled that Miss Nicaragua was crowned. She is one of my favorite winners of this crown period. She ranks with Lara Dutta, Mpule Kwelagobe, and Zozibini Tunzi.
On some boards, I heard people talking about boycotting the pageant if this or that country didn't make it and I'm appalled. Year in and year out, we have had representatives from the same countries on the Miss Universe stage as the ideal of "beauty". Many of them were absolutely deserving no doubt. However, there were other countries who continue to attend faithfully even though their well-deserving representative has been left out over and over and over again. Did I say "over" enough times? Yet, you don't seem them throwing a tantrum and threaten to take their ball and go home. I love the disruption in the last two years. Love it! Beauty comes in all temples and more focus needs to be put on brains and not the passarella.

If we were to advocate for Michelle to be in the top 5, we'd face the difficult task of deciding who to remove from their well-deserved placement. The top 5 contestants demonstrated remarkable qualities, contributing to a solid and competitive field. Acknowledging the tough decisions the judges had to make, it's evident that each finalist earned their place through strong performances and exceptional presence on the Miss Universe stage.

Always enjoy the 'Nerdy facts'. I am just glad that Philippines is back on the semi finals again this year, it will take another decade to build that momentum again. I was shocked that Philippines did not make it to the top 5, but not surprise. Everyone knows how good Michelle on answering question. if she's on top 5, its over for everyone. Top 5 questions are all mediocre questions with all the girls 'pageant' answer. Puerto Rico made an obvious "pageant crime" on stage that I think the judges notice it too. Requesting for an Interpreter, then answer it with perfect English. By listening to the Interpreter, gives her enough time to think for her answer, while she already understands the judge question from the start. At least Miss Nicaragua answered the question genuinely. And finally I still don't get why Miss Australia is on top 3, apart from she's giving "Jennifer Hawkins" vibe, I should be happy that Australia place this year though. anyway great video. 😂

Thanks for your support, Nino - very much appreciated! I also appreciate you leaving your detailed comments… It’s true Michelle would’ve relished the chance to do a Q&A round, as would a few others, namely Bryoni and Noelia. Of course Michelle advanced a round further than both of them, but at the end of the day Michelle finished in the Top 10 and it had nothing to do with “dark forces” not wanting her to get in front of a microphone. She didn’t make the Top 5 because the judges selected other delegates to advance. Anyway, I could keep going, but it’s probably best I stop there! Thanks again for your kind words and generosity. All the best to you!

Antonia was criticized for a "lackluster performance" because everyone expected the same level of performance as in MUT. Even some of my Thai friends asked, "Where was that girl who won MUT with the fierce and powerful SS walk?" She seemed like a different person in MU compared to MUT. If the strategy was to tone it down, it did not work. Besides, the fans want an Asian contestant who can go head-to-head with the powerful Latina pasarelas. India outperformed Thailand in the SS round. I was hoping for a fun, sexy, powerful walk for SS and a gliding, elegant walk in EG, just like in MUT. Unfortunately, that did not happen, and that is the reason for the criticism.

Take heed from Natalie Glebova who likes to look a glass as half-full than half-empty. Though Miss PH was not included in the top 5, she won more special prizes in dollar terms than the runners-up--$12,000 for her advocacy and a luxury carnival cruise! Congrats on your spot-on predictions!!

It was an awesome show! And I’m so happy for Nicaragua 🇳🇮🥳😎 I hope with the organization going Bankrupt recently that it doesn’t affect future pageants! 😢😢😢 I was also sad not to see Canada , the Netherlands and Brazil not in top 20 and I feel Philippines last gown was totally not a winning Miss universe look and the slicked back wet hair look but she did great in competition! All together a wonderful Miss universe! I still miss the format of the 1990’s pageants “ I’m old” lol been watching over 35 years but this stage set up was fantastic! 🥳🥳🥳

She came across a bit cold and distant onstage, which is not her when I see her being interviewed. I think her styling and look ultimately did her a disservice because it was not built around her true personality. She was channeling RBonney… her gowns looked like they were inspired by Rbonney’s own creations.

Philippines was robbed!! Atleast she should be in the top 5. If she had given the chance to speak in the top 5? Then it will be a game over. Q and A is Michelle's forte its her major strength in Miss Universe she is a very good speaker.

7:45 Miss Universe Philippines' final evening gown pays homage to the 106 year old traditional Filipino tattoo artist, Apo Whang Op. She became the oldest Vogue Cover Model when she was on the Philippines version of the magazine.

Hello TPN is Ms Nicaragua SP somewhat related to Ms Universe of 1986 BPT?

I don’t believe so, no - I think it’s just an interesting coincidence, much the same as Amelia Vega (DR MU 2003) and Paulina Vega (COL MU 2014)!

Very happy with NICARAGUA winning and Thailand as 1st RU. I wish Puerto Rico placed 2nd RU and SAF in the Top 5. Very happy with Namibia, I was rooting for her in the Top 20.

Puerto Rico got visibly nervous and botched her response. Colombia blew her chance by not answering the question and tried to twist it around so she can again mentioned that she’s a mother. Australia got into the top 3 by default.

I'm so tired of the usual "pageant gowns", what Ms. Philippines presented was a new, unique, modern, and gorgeous gown. I'm happy for Ms. Nicaragua, but come on, Ms. Philippines deserves a Top 5 placement.

It was a breath of fresh air seeing MMD's gown.. compared to the nude illison gowns worn by Thailand- which was safe and boring

My impression of Filipino fans after reading from all over the web for past 10 years. As long as Philippines doesn't take the crown, it's an unfair competition. They even want to boycott the pageant. I think that will be worse because all Filipino fans breath, eat and feed on pageants. Imagine not taking part in Miss Universe.

So our candidate got all the 3 important awards. She is the only candidate to have achieved that in the history of MU. So, do you think it is fair that the only woman who has achieved that has not given a chance in the top 5? lol. We love MU, but this Lady Boys Narcissist Owners of pageants make pageants cheap. lol.
Anyway, the real reason why Filipino fans are screaming foul is because the ART Insta Top 5 image includes Philippines and Not Thailand, but few minutes after, they changed it. Is it our fault to doubt, after seeing the released a Top 5 in MU El Salvador insta, which includes Philippines first? lol. You will be an idi0t to just let it pass, after seeing it with your own eyes. lol

She is not a fluent English speaker like Puerto Rico or Thailand or even Chile, who obviously had lived in the US given how she sounded like an American.
