I cried at both and still do. I was more shocked with the red wedding than anything. I just remember my mouth literally being wide open the whole time while I was laying on the floor.
Drygin Baelish Oh i unfortunately knew this scene was coming when i watched it and i didn't cry, because i learned to not get attached to any characters in this fucking show.
Amazing. Amazing reaction. One thing I always realize is how strong the last part guts you out. The final moments of Catelyn begging for Rob's life. They're just so powerful and beautifully done. Huge credit to Michelle Fairley for her brilliant acting that made the scene even more impactful.
+Leo of Red Keep You mean the war Joffrey started. And he didn't end it, Stannis is still out there and even on this front there are still Stark loyalists who aren't happy.
Joffrey started nothing. Robb was the one who put armies on the march. This is how a war starts and Tywin ended this one. Stannis started another war, that's right. Another traitor. His time will come.
You possibly have the strongest reaction to this scene that I ever seen. I appreciate you're love for this show, you and Jimmy Macrame are awesome reactors👊
The Red Wedding is easily the most horrifying moment in television history. That scene in the very beginning of the episode with Robb's Army riding up to the twins and Greywind leading, with the stark theme playing is so sad when you know what comes later. Also, get used to Daario, and more questionable decisions by Dany.
Jimmy Macram She is my friend and I cried with her. I remember talking to her the other day right after she watched it and I felt sooo bad. Like if only I could've told her, warned her in some way. No. All I could do was try my best to comfort her. 😢 She really is a beautiful soul.
Oh I'm so so sorry for you! I just finished watching your reaction and I just want to comfort you in some way. I just feel so sorry. When this event happened in the books a lot of people just threw their book across the room and didn't pick them again for a while because they were so upset. I'm so glad you weren't spoiled (this scene was what got the whole 'live reaction' video trend started) but I'm also really sorry. It was really hard to watch you this time. Lots of love!
I have only ever thrown one book across the room. One of the books in the "Sword of Truth" series. a horrible tv show was made from those books. "Legend of the Seeker". The books are much, much darker than that vapid show.
Thanks for being patient!! - Feel free to chat. Comments are monitored for me by my husband, David. - I upload two videos on Tuesday and two more on Friday. - Yes, I am planning on reading the books after I catch up on Season 6. - Tyrion is my favorite character. Dany is now a close 2nd. :)
If u think this was bad, the book is worse. Dont wanna spoil if u want to read them, but in the book Robb last word was "Grey Wind" he was probably trying to warg into the wolf, but he was dead before Robb. Cat screams and laughs like a mad woman. In her mind she is praying for them to cut the throat clean, and not ruin her hair. "No, don’t, don’t cut my hair, Ned loves my hair. I've lived too long and Ned is waiting" she thought 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Kills me everytime I think of it. Dont worry the Freys, Boltons and Lannisters will pay for what they did. The North Remembers
+anycullen21 I don't know man, I mean I know in the books we know the names of almost everyone who got murdered there, but what the show did with the baby, and the fact that they didn't bring in you know who afterwards. I really got to hand it to the show, I think they did it better. Just my opinion tho, others may vary. I will say tho, the books had way more subliminal setup so I definitely enjoyed that a lot more compared to the show.
The funny thing about watching a Red Wedding reaction is more of those keep popping up in recommended. I watched like 10 and can't stop myself! This was an especially nice one! p.s. love the T-shirt 😄
Oh Frey got something. The Lord of the Riverlands, Edmure Tully. He destroyed those who had spat on his family for generations. Robb breaking his oath was just the straw that broke the camels back.
Your now my favourite Game Of Thrones fan, you're just so sweet and innocent and I feel so bad for you when you get upset at the sad parts or when your excited at the surprising parts I get excited! It's like watching the series all over again your reactions are priceless!
Can you imagine that and having to wait for another week. Your analysis of Frey, Bolton and Lannister before this episode was amazing. There is a scene where Cerci asks what her father is doing to free Jamie and Tywin is writing letters. That was the plan for betrayal.
That's why it's called reins of castermere. Lady Cat knew something was up as soon as they played the Lannister theme.when that song plays, it means bad things to happen.
You were so happy and full of hope at the beginning of this episode. I actually felt horrible knowing you'd be an emotional wreck by the end of it. I cried right along with you even though I've watched that scene so many times.
Oh darlin'. How it hurt my heart to see you hurt and touched so much. I was the same when I saw it the first time and I just cried with you this time. It never gets easy on that sort of thing, but there is goodness ahead. I won't promise unicorns and rainbows, but there is some goodness. Keep up the great work!!
Your reaction brought back sSometimes, you just want to protect someone from what they're about to see. It is painful. However, it really is part of the story -- the story of the Starks. It is the quintessential part of Game of Thrones. It gets even worse before it finally...finally...starts to get better.
I just binged watched all the Game of Thrones reactions you have done so far. Thanks to Jimmy Macram for suggesting your channel. You are so insightful and in tune with the nuances. Gosh I really think you'd love and get so much out of the books. Any way you are great and I have subbed.
Wonderful reaction. Welcome to the club with all the rest of us. I fell like you may need a hug. Don't despair, there are still plenty of characters to love. And the seasons keep getting better and better.
This was heart wrenching for me, you cried even more than I did! By the way just watched all your reactions up to here in the past few hours, it's great to see a smart woman reacting to it all. :)
David congrats for keeping away your wife to the spoilers. I know today with all information is very difficult so u do a great work here. This is a true reaction, stay as same.
"Mass murder of good people, kinda makes you mad." That's one heck of an understatement lady! lol The whole time I was watching that scene I kept waiting for some hero to come in and rescue King Robb. But that would have been too formulaic I guess. That ending was so epic and so unexpected. I mean, that was a hard one to digest. And I say again. I truly enjoy the fresh perspective you bring. I'm definitely gonna go back and re-watch much of the series once you're done to see what else your observations stir in me. Hang in there!
First of all, thank you Hunter for doing these reactions. And, I am so sorry you had to leave your "summer childhood" behind!!! I knew there was going to be plenty of pain you felt from this. I was in plenty of pain too watching this by myself. That was why I said, "oh nooo" the last time as a comment. But, you have a community rooting you on and supporting you along with your "friend"!!!!! Be encouraged and continue with courage and strength. Things will surely continue to work itself out. And, I can most certainly say The Best is yet to come!!! I am looking forward to seeing things through your eyes (whatever kind they are, be they lowered with skepticism or widened with surprise) even if they do flow with precious tears (real women do cry!!!). I can't say the worst is over, but I can say you will have wonder, delight, awe, and jubilation in what is to come. Looking forward to this tremendous journey!!! Peace!!!
Brendan Beckett She had no idea. I was surprised, too...we talked after she watched it and she was shredded... she'd never even heard the term Red Wedding. It's funny the stuff different ppl pick up on, and things they don't.
Welcome to the game of thrones...rains of castamere is kinda the episode where almost everyone has the same reaction and goes through the same phases of anger at what happened. On the other hand this is also what makes watching got so enjoyable as you dont know exactly what happens to each of the characters. Just be glad that you dont have to wait for months for the next season or in the case of the book readers...years...
mannn just discovered your page. I'm still obsessed and cant let this show go. love how pure your reaction was. not over the top! made me feel all the feels with you. ❤❤
I'm not sure how I ended up here, but I must say, your GoT vids are very entertaining. Glad to see that you're a writer; as a bookseller by trade and a booklover by nature, you seem to have the stuff for that. And we definitely need more good writers these days.
Great reaction to one of the greatest episodes on tv. I really like how emotional your reaction was, it shows you 're a true fan of got and how invested you are in all these characters. Looking forward to your next videos. PS: Don't quit, it does get better down the road.....
I was like straight up depressed for a week after this episode and seeing it still makes me tear up :(, so your reaction really wasn't overdramatic haha! There is some great stuff to look forward to in the next season tho :)!
You made me cry, too. :( Don't give up on the show. I promise you it will redeem itself. Even if you're still undecided after episode 10, just know that Season 4 is one of the best of the entire series. The person who said there are scenes in coming seasons that will make you jump up and dance is so right. Please don't quit now. If it's any consolation, this will probably end up being your most watched GoT video. Watch it go viral now.
If it makes you feel better i cried for a couple hours after it happened. And you're not the only one, StormAkima just had her mother and her sister react to it yesterday (great timing btw) and they cried, a lot. you should check it out when you feel ready to see that again :(
Sprite Don't like Stormakima's reaction. Explained too much, her mother doesn't really like the show. She spoiled all the time, "don't see this, don't see that", that's ridiculous. It's a great show, but not for anyone. It would be nice if they watch the privately with her mother, but as a reaction-channel... ???
Your tears are the symbol that you are a good person with good feelings. Thank you for shared your reaction. New follower from now on. (I'm an old book reader and watcher of the series who is getting reading for the final set of episodes).
This was such a wonderful reaction (I think it might be my 4th or 5th time watching it), and can I just say that I love your reactions so much? There are a lot of good reactors, but it's rare to run across someone you identify with almost all of the time, and for me it's you. It really makes me wish you were doing reaction vids during season 1. Anyway, love your stuff, Hunter!
GREAT reaction! Lord, i just wanted to give you a hug and a pat on the back! At least I know that you had your wish come true, the next episode had a feel good ending.
Oh Hunter i cried with you and ive seen this episode so many times now but the fact that it affected you so much affected me like i was watching it for the first time again.
Bless you Ms Boyle! I hope your hubby gave you some comfort after watching this. It is THE most brutal episode of a tv show EVER. Y'know after I first watched this episode, it hit me how life can imitate art and visa versa, especially with regards to tragedy and love. I look forward to your thoughts on the season finale!
when you asked "why is she all like...", I assume you mean to ask why cat seemed worried/suspicious. the reason is because right before that, the musicians started playing the song 'the rains of castamere', which is a lannister song. they're supposed to be surrounded by stark-supporters, so it makes sense for her to be worried and feel that something is wrong when she basically hears their enemies' theme song playing. c:
+Hunter Boyle - yes, that's the one! :) it was also the outro after 'blackwater'... oh, and it was brought up in episode 8 when cersei and margaery had their sweet little conversation (you know, the one that ended with cersei threatening to have margaery strangled in her sleep). in that conversation, cersei talked about house reyne and what happened to them when they went against the lannisters. :)
It's more than that though, it's a song about how Tywin lannister completely eradicated a lesser house (sigil of a red coated lion) whose lord Roger Reyne rebelled against the Lannisters (sigil of a gold coated lion): And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low? Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know. In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws, And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours. And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere, But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear. Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear It's a song about not messing with the Lannisters or you will get whats coming to you. Though sometimes is used more generally as symbol for vengeance.
Congratulations, for making it through the most heinous thing ever written or put to screen. Ned's beheading was just a sampler for this. It gets better going forward.
Disagree. Dario is supposed to be exotic, not generically attractive. It's the same with Tyrion. He is supposed to be ugly and misshapen, but on the show, he's Dinklage. Or Jorah. He's supposed to be overweight and smelly. Or like the Stark kids. All except Jon and Arya are supposed to be red heads like their Tully mother. I'm not complaining per se. I was just disappointed the show chose to go in another direction.
havok6280 I just feel like things like that are negligible and don't really matter that much. There are some things I wanted too but taking into account the logistical issues and opinion based decision making at play with a topic like this... I'm content overall.
These things are not negligible. They are over the top exaggerations which make the books juvenile fantasy and the show a clear improvement by leaving them out. So many young nerds rave about the books but the sad truth is that they are bad in comparison. Blue beard Daario, violet eyed slutty Daenerys, hairy lusty Jorah, stink loving Ramsay, ugly waddling noseless lusty and hateful Tyrion, all-warging Stark children, slutty stupid drunken Cersei, torturing and experimenting Qyburn… all these things make me think GRRM wrote the story when he was a teenager. The show did well to clear it all out.
I felt so bad watching this and knowing what was going to happen! :( you were so optimistic in the beginning, it was heart breaking. Great reaction nonetheless! You are no longer a sweet summer child, but a woman of winter. :(
I loved her own foreshadowing with her captions lol 1 in 1,000 people are Wargs. 1 in 1,000 Wargs are also Greenseers. That's what Bran is. He's a super rare Warg.
This is such a great channel. Hunter, you're seriously one of the best at these reactions. I THOUGHT I was looking forward to watching your reaction to this episode, but it actually broke my heart watching you cry... It was difficult to watch, cause you can tell you're a genuinely good person, and it's hard to watch good people cry! :-( Glad the margarita helped though! Hah! Also, great job David for monitoring the comments! You two make a great team!
Gosh, it's so sad to see you all happy about the wedding and the fact that "Arya's there" to reunite with the family. Boy o boy, I knew this was going to be a knife in the heart, lol, to you as soon as all the killings commenced
I managed to spoil the events of this ep for myself, so it wasn't as bad for me. I still bawled my eyes out :)p I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must have been being totally unawares like that. I think you're the first reactor I've seen that managed to review the ep right after, that's some strong work there :) I had the same reaction to Daario.... *ugh*
oh no... that reaction makes me fearful that she might quit lol hang in there hunter!! i won't say that it gets happier, but there are some very satisfying moments to come!
My friend, you are no longer a sweet summer child... It's the same for me each time I watch this. Could you imagine watching during the actual season... Then having to wait?
Such a rough episode to watch. I've been catching up on your videos over the last week after Jimmy Macram mentioned them. You're a fantastic reactor and I really hope you continue. Completely understand your reaction to Dany. I was totally pissed at her after this episode, too. And you nailed it right on the head by calling Daario "smarmy". I can't stand him.
"She's gonna be a grandma"
Man, that broke my heart when you thought that lol
Cat was unnerved because the band was playing The Rains of Castamere, a Lannister song. She could tell something was wrong.
Its the song, Cersei explains last episode to margaery
Angela S - And the DireWolf!
My girlfriend cried at the Bran and Rickon part and I was just thinking, "How the hell is she gonna handle the rest of the episode?"
Well shit, how did she?
Probably died
it's been 7 months now, i guess she killed him.
FrshChees91 - damn - did she take you to court for mental abuse - she might have won...!... ;)
I cried at both and still do. I was more shocked with the red wedding than anything. I just remember my mouth literally being wide open the whole time while I was laying on the floor.
You were a sweet summer child and now you're a woman of winter. Welcome to Game Of Thrones!
Also, i think you'll like Michiel Huisman more than Ed Skrein as Daario.
+Jérôme Dutil-Martin
u are all still summer childs if u are crying because of the Starks
Drygin Baelish Oh i unfortunately knew this scene was coming when i watched it and i didn't cry, because i learned to not get attached to any characters in this fucking show.
Jérôme Dutil-Martin
so why u think u were a summer child before the scene and a winter guy after it?
Drygin Baelish I never said that for me. It's just what everyone says to every reactors after they watch this episode.
Amazing. Amazing reaction. One thing I always realize is how strong the last part guts you out. The final moments of Catelyn begging for Rob's life. They're just so powerful and beautifully done. Huge credit to Michelle Fairley for her brilliant acting that made the scene even more impactful.
Ibrahim Alavi I read that the actress went hoarse from that scene. Those gut-wrenching screams really took a toll on her.
i cry every time i see it her scream of agony destroys me
"I'm not gonna cry at weddings" oh
Lmao. Last time I will ever say that.
Weddings aren't all bad/sad... hang in there...
now you know what all those letters tywin was writing since the start of the season were about....
Still an asshole(:
He ended the war Robb started. Tywin is a hero.
Leo of Red Keep facts!
+Leo of Red Keep You mean the war Joffrey started. And he didn't end it, Stannis is still out there and even on this front there are still Stark loyalists who aren't happy.

You possibly have the strongest reaction to this scene that I ever seen. I appreciate you're love for this show, you and Jimmy Macrame are awesome reactors👊
You're not alone. I think most people wanted to give up at this point.......but we all came back!
The Red Wedding is easily the most horrifying moment in television history. Also, get used to Daario, and more questionable decisions by Dany.
Eli Guilmet for those who are caught up wait until the last season
Questionable decisions turned out to be an understatement
Your reaction to this episode is precious and the best of all. Thank you. I cried again with you. I cried also because Ned Stark died twice. T_T
One of the best red wedding reaction i´ve seen^^
Jesus. You made me cry, and I've been watched this a hundred times already.
:)
Couldn't finish the reaction. :(
Aww Thanks, Jimmy.
Jimmy Macram She is my friend and I cried with her. I remember talking to her the other day right after she watched it and I felt sooo bad. Like if only I could've told her, warned her in some way. No. All I could do was try my best to comfort her. 😢 She really is a beautiful soul.
+Jimmy Macram Omg it's Jimmy~~~
Oh come on Jimmy, no one is watching... well maybe secretly lol. You should totally watch it. Let it out, it is cleansing. :)
+Stephanie Vales Hey Steph!! 😘 Methinks Ser Jimmy is a tender heart, and that's why he's awesome to watch too.
When you said "I'm so excited" I was like "please don't be..."
Lol. Ugh. Watching it back was worse in editing.
At least I wont damage my book when I read it.
And that's what's most important. :)
I have only ever thrown one book across the room. One of the books in the "Sword of Truth" series. a horrible tv show was made from those books. "Legend of the Seeker". The books are much, much darker than that vapid show.

Haha! Totally agree about Dany! Such a HUUUGE friendzoning right there for poor Jorah. You girls can be really mean to us boys...
May I ask when your next GOT's upload? Will it be on Tuesday? Or are you an upload behind? Cant remember.
Thank you :)

"What the fuck, fucking Bolton." hahaha sums up most of the Northern Storyline.
Wow, this is the first reaction I've seen where the person watching didn't expect *ANYTHING*! It was so hard to watch you come to the realization.
The funny thing about watching a Red Wedding reaction is more of those keep popping up in recommended. I watched like 10 and can't stop myself! This was an especially nice one!

Lol! I dont get tired of them either!

If it had been the straw breaking the camel's back, Frey would have shown up late, just in case the camel had been victorious over the straw. :P
At this point it is traditional for us to officially tell you 'Welcome to Game of Thrones!' for you are now a child of winter!
Your now my favourite Game Of Thrones fan, you're just so sweet and innocent and I feel so bad for you when you get upset at the sad parts or when your excited at the surprising parts I get excited! It's like watching the series all over again your reactions are priceless!
Thank you!
You are now officially baptized as a Game of Thrones geek. Many could not go on after this.
"He said he wanted to be a wizard." Thank you for catching that! Loved that part!
Can you imagine that and having to wait for another week. Your analysis of Frey, Bolton and Lannister before this episode was amazing. There is a scene where Cerci asks what her father is doing to free Jamie and Tywin is writing letters. That was the plan for betrayal.
I dont know if I would have been able to come back.
(I say that like a big girl, but Im a sucker for great shows. shhh) :)
That's why it's called reins of castermere. Lady Cat knew something was up as soon as they played the Lannister theme.when that song plays, it means bad things to happen.

God this reminded me of how much I cried the first time I saw this, it wasn't nearly as sad in the books.
It still gets me to this very day. Right there with you.
Your reaction brought back sSometimes, you just want to protect someone from what they're about to see. It is painful. However, it really is part of the story -- the story of the Starks. It is the quintessential part of Game of Thrones. It gets even worse before it finally...finally...starts to get better.
I'm a grown ass man watching this reaction at work and I got teary alongside you, this damned show haha
Bless you, such feels... I teared up a bit just watching this again.
I love you're reactions! Thank you for letting us watch this with you.
Thank *you*!
I just watched all your reaction videos. Loved your genuine reactions. Welcome to GoT. I can't wait for more!
I just binged watched all the Game of Thrones reactions you have done so far. Thanks to Jimmy Macram for suggesting your channel.
You are so insightful and in tune with the nuances. Gosh I really think you'd love and get so much out of the books.
Any way you are great and I have subbed.
Thank you!
Ugh! Your "No no no, turn around, Arya!" really got me crying.
Wonderful reaction. Welcome to the club with all the rest of us. I fell like you may need a hug. Don't despair, there are still plenty of characters to love. And the seasons keep getting better and better.

"I ate, I talked to a friend, I ate some more. I had a margarita."
Yeah that sounds about right lol.
:)
David congrats for keeping away your wife to the spoilers. I know today with all information is very difficult so u do a great work here. This is a true reaction, stay as same.
I felt your pain! Ooh, this reaction took me back. This episode broke my heart.
It's finally here! And it's beautiful!
"Mass murder of good people, kinda makes you mad." That's one heck of an understatement lady! lol
The whole time I was watching that scene I kept waiting for some hero to come in and rescue King Robb. But that would have been too formulaic I guess. That ending was so epic and so unexpected. I mean, that was a hard one to digest.

There so many clues that tell you whats about to happen. I love that.
I just finished watching this episode! OMG... I don't know if I can handle this 😩😭
Yup. It's hard to take! You'll be fine. It'll be okay. I promise.
Everytime she said "i'm not gonna cry", my heart sank a little
First of all, thank you Hunter for doing these reactions. And, I am so sorry you had to leave your "summer childhood" behind!!! I knew there was going to be plenty of pain you felt from this. surprised how surprised you were given how well you had caught on to Bolton's scheming.
That probably even made it worse for her because she has probably been having that sinking feeling in her stomach for a while now.
Brendan Beckett She had no idea. I was surprised, too...we talked after she watched it and she was shredded... she'd never even heard the term Red Wedding. It's funny the stuff different ppl pick up on, and things they don't.
Nostalgic Bliss I don't think so. She was confused why Catelyn was unnerved.
Welcome to the game of thrones...rains of castamere is kinda the episode where almost everyone has the same reaction and goes through the same phases of anger at what happened. On the other hand this is also what makes watching got so enjoyable as you dont know exactly what happens to each of the characters.

The North Remembers
The bedding ceremony is something that they actually did in medieval France I believe.
Ew.
All over Europe from what I gather.
Even more ew!
Great reaction to one of the greatest episodes on tv. I really like how emotional your reaction was, it shows you 're a true fan of got and how invested you are in all these characters. Looking forward to your next videos.
PS: Don't quit, it does get better down the road.....
Too hooked on the writing to quit. :)
8:19 LOL that foreshadowing.

If it's any consolation, this will probably end up being your most watched GoT video. Watch it go viral now.
Thank you so much. I wont give up. The writers have me way too hooked in now.
If it makes you feel better i cried for a couple hours after it happened.
And you're not the only one, StormAkima just had her mother and her sister react to it yesterday (great timing btw)
and they cried, a lot. you should check it out when you feel ready to see that again :(
Also want to mention that Season 4 is one of the best if not the best Season so that's something to look forward to :)
As is Season 6!
Agreed Season 6 and 4 are my favorite
Mine too! I've been a fan of the books since I discovered the first back in '96, so season 6 was like... well, you know. :D
Theme of the episode "Don't go around killing people, save it for the wedding."
Thank you so much!
Hand in there Hunter, it safe to say that you love the Starks, we all do and make no mistake Winter is coming.
GREAT reaction! Lord, i just wanted to give you a hug and a pat on the back! At least I know that you had your wish come true, the next episode had a feel good ending.
Wow that was tough to watch....can really feel your pain Hunter and we share it with you.
Thank you, Pat. :)
Oh Hunter i cried with you and ive seen this episode so many times now but the fact that it affected you so much affected me like i was watching it for the first time again.
Aww thank you :)
Oh man, I legit thought you were gonna have a panic attack at first I was very concerned. Such a raw reaction.
Loved this reaction~
This is really what many of us had to go through. Seeing that scene again hurts still even today.
Okay watching you cry made me want to watch all over again you’re reaction was way to real
I loved your reaction. So adorable!
David let her know that she's no longer a Sweet Summer Child... she's a Woman of Winter and that we feel her pain.
Bless you Ms Boyle! I hope your hubby gave you some comfort after watching this. It is THE most brutal episode of a tv show EVER. Y'know after I first watched this episode, it hit me how life can imitate art and visa versa, especially with regards to tragedy and love. I look forward to your thoughts on the season finale!
you had me sobbing all over again!
when you asked "why is she all like...", I assume you mean to ask why cat seemed worried/suspicious. the reason is because right before that, the musicians started playing the song 'the rains of castamere', which is a lannister song. they're supposed to be surrounded by stark-supporters, so it makes sense for her to be worried and feel that something is wrong when she basically hears their enemies' theme song playing. c:
Ohhhh!!!
sonofa...
Yeahh. I was kind of amazed also as to how you didn't catch that since you're soo intellectual and catch every minor detail.
...but now you know. :p
That was the song Bronn was singing in the Tavern in Blackwater, right?
+Hunter Boyle - yes, that's the one! :) it was also the outro after 'blackwater'... oh, and it was brought up in episode 8 when cersei and margaery had their sweet little conversation (you know, the one that ended with cersei threatening to have margaery strangled in her sleep). in that conversation, cersei talked about house reyne and what happened to them when they went against the lannisters. :)
It's more than that though, it's a song about how Tywin lannister completely eradicated a lesser house (sigil of a red coated lion) whose lord Roger Reyne rebelled against the Lannisters (sigil of a gold coated lion):
And who are you, the proud lord said,
that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat,
that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red,
a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord,
as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear
It's a song about not messing with the Lannisters or you will get whats coming to you. Though sometimes is used more generally as symbol for vengeance.
"I'm NOT going to cry at weddings". --Oh YEAH! The crying shall commence.
Congratulations, for making it through the most heinous thing ever written or put to screen. Ned's beheading was just a sampler for this. It gets better going forward.
No it doesn't. There's some serious lion slaughter ahead :-(
+Leo the Red Keep That's what's better you silly!
Now you sound like a dentist :-(
It's very refreshing to see a sensitive smart person reacting to a show
keep posting :)
Thank you!
Best reaction. I love it, one of the best. You have such expressive emotion.
Dario was recast in season 4..........a much better actor and more suited to how he was written in the books imo
Still no blue beard though...:(
cool in a book
wouldn't translate well on screen imo
I loved her own foreshadowing with her captions lol
1 in 1,000 people are Wargs. 1 in 1,000 Wargs are also Greenseers. That's what Bran is. He's a super rare Warg.
Does he get an awesome super warg costume? :)
He should lol but he'll probably just get a dragon :P
This is such a great channel. Hunter, you're seriously one of the best at these reactions. I THOUGHT I was looking forward to watching your reaction to this episode, but it actually broke my heart watching you cry... It was difficult to watch, cause you can tell you're a genuinely good person, and it's hard to watch good people cry! :-( Glad the margarita helped though! Hah! Also, great job David for monitoring the comments! You two make a great team!
Thank you!
Hunter, exactly how I watched it....My husband was stunned silent. I wanted to talk it through...he wasn't haven't that. LOL
Im so glad I didnt watch it with David. lol
lol I get it.
Gosh, it's so sad to see you all happy about the wedding and the fact that "Arya's there" to reunite with the family. Boy o boy, I knew this was going to be a knife in the heart, lol, to you as soon as all the killings commenced
That was rough! Hang in there
I managed to spoil the events of this ep for myself, so it wasn't as bad for me. I still bawled my eyes out :)p I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must have been being totally unawares like that.
I think you're the first reactor I've seen that managed to review the ep right after, that's some strong work there :)
I had the same reaction to Daario.... *ugh*
oh no... that reaction makes me fearful that she might quit lol hang in there hunter!! i won't say that it gets happier, but there are some very satisfying moments to come!
My friend, you are no longer a sweet summer child... It's the same for me each time I watch this. Could you imagine watching during the actual season... Then having to wait?
Thank God I didnt have to.
9:27 "I am not going to cry."
Oh, but you will. ;)
At 0:46. Moves tissues, getting prepared just in case.😂😂😂
That's my notebook lol
but damn I wish I had...
Hunter Boyle 😂😂😂. Same here.
I've been waiting for this. Love your reactions!
"The Lannisters send their regards"
Okay, this was heartbreaking to watch... again.... :(
That is some dame good writing :)
hell yeah
love your laugh after she said "mary" but your missed Walders Freys grumpy "Fine!" :D
I heard it in editing and laughed even more! lol
Hunter Boyle
ah okay, nice haha
Such a rough episode to watch. I've been catching up on your videos over the last week after Jimmy Macram mentioned them. You're a fantastic reactor and I really hope you continue.
Completely understand your reaction to Dany. I was totally pissed at her after this episode, too. And you nailed it right on the head by calling Daario "smarmy". I can't stand him.
My new go to video if I just need a good cry.
God I feel so bad for you, you're the best Hunter :) it's still a great reaction!
