Two things I forgot to say
1) It is a matter of public record that just before the 7/7/05 London attack Shayler in debate with me downplayed the significance of Islamist militancy in the UK. Also on the record 7/7 happened. The significance of his downplaying the problem indicates his previous employment knowledge. Fair enough: but then rather remiss of him to retrospectively use that. Job as evidence his changing conspiracy theories about 7/7 were based on inside knowledge: see the articles in NFB magazine 7 & 8
2) the biggest elephant in the room of my critic is that nowhere does he allude to the key subject of the programme, the David Copeland nail bombs and MI5 complicity. No surprise: as reference to them has never been fashionable, the cultists ignore it, despite the massive amount of evidence. Sad. But other listeners shouldn’t

1) Given I am not anonymous like yourself, you not trusting me is of no matter.
2) I did not say, nor do I believe, MI6 didn’t do the things Shayler claimed
3) I notice you do not refute my claim Machon was no whistleblower
4) Re 7-7 you list a number of allegations/claims fully analysed in the magazine especially issue 8
5) it was that analysis that led the July 7th Campaign to request, and get, an uncensored article in NFB issue 9 (follow links on the site)
6) I responded in Notes From the Borderland issue 9, but strange to say (or maybe not...) the July 7th Campaign never came back at me.
It is gratifying however, to have flushed out an ‘Unofficial Conspiracy Theorist’ adherent. You recognise that you and I come from different stables: I prefer to rely on evidence rather than mere assertion.

1) pen name, nick name, but not (I guess) your birth name
2) we have extensively analysed Shayler in Notes from the Borderland: our point is that he criticised a rival MI6 but not MI5 in as much detail. You evidently have not read a word we wrote about Shayler (still available as PDFs like all magazine issues) so further debate on this with you is pointless. So I won’t bother.
3) you disagree with our stance on 7/7 without (again) having read a word we have written, which deals with all the points you have raised as if they are unanswerable. They are not.
4) I therefore reject your insults I am a disinformation agent, and see your contribution as just the sort of shallow comment to be expected from somebody who thinks clicking on a you tube clip is research. I got my PhD from London University: where did yours come from: Walmart? Have a Nice Day!
Finally, seriously, if after reading our research you want to submit a serious reasoned and evidence based response (ie not just lists of web links) we would be happy to consider publishing it. A warning though: we gave that offer to the July 7th Campaign and printed their article, but ten years later they still haven’t thought of a response to my rejoinder.
