TRIP REPORT | Brilliant Flight to Singapore! | Singapore Airlines A350 | Bangkok to Singapore

- Singapore Airlines Trip Report flying from Bangkok to Singapore onboard one of the Singapore Airlines A350 on a lovely sunny afternoon.
A very comfortable flight onboard the Singapore A350 from Bangkok to Singapore. The flight was fully booked, but as this plane is designed for long-haul routes, this 2-hour flight was really easy to do.
We started our journey at Bangkok airport. I think this is the airport with the most shops that I've seen in my life. It's just incredible de huge amount of them. After an extensive tour of the airport and a small planespotting session, we boarded the Singapore Airbus A350 that would take us to Singapore.
We took off heading south and we flew all the way down over the Gulf of Thailand until we reached Malaysia. We flew just for a few minutes over this country before starting our descent to Singapore. Just before the descent the captain informed us about storms surrounding the Singapore area and that we could expect a very bumpy approach into Singapore.
And yes, the truth is that they were there, but luckily not that big... The approach and landing were really nice, especially the final approach in parallel to Singapore Island. After a long taxi, we finally reached our gate at Singapore Airport.
Regarding the onboard service, Singapore has a particular catering service on these flights. They offer a warm meal and a dessert. The package is very unique, all in paper boxes. It doesn't look as glamorous as the classic meals, but I must say it was quite tasty. There were 2 options: chicken with mashed potatoes or a shrimp-based meal. The dessert was the first green cake I've had on a plane. Strange taste... but it was good! Strange but certainly good :)
All in all, a great experience flying with the Singapore Airlines Airbus A350 on my first flight in eastern Asia. I'm looking forward to seeing what flying short-haul on the Boeing 737 MAX looks like with Singapore Airlines. Hopefully coming soon!

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport indeed has a lot of shops and so on, also pretty busy. I flew to Almaty(ALA) from Bangkok with Air Astana. Cool flight I should say, 7h
i don't have any plans with Air Astana for now.
Really excited to fly on Air Canada nonstop from Vancouver to Singapore next year in April and fly back from Bangkok to Vancouver to Ottawa next year.

The green-cake at 12.50 may well have been Pandan-cake, which usually has a delicate flavour, and comes without the topping !

Excellent flight there. I flew the SQ a350 from SIN-CAN and the entertainment system is different. The entertainment system does not contain any live tv. However the in flight map was very good - they had a lot of innovative things including tail rego number, you can navigate the map in 3D. As well you can look at the information of cities (population, elevation of city, temperatures) and you can view the flight in different camera angles
This trip felt so peaceful, probably because of the arrival in the early evening.
Both airport terminals look great, but Singapore is clearly the best in the world.

Not my case. A very nice airline, but not my favourite.
your trip report give more geographic details which I like, other south east asian airlines have better inflight meals than SQ but their economy seats have mirror on each table and all sockets like universal power and USB and have the newest aircraft even for intra-asian routes
