Mr. Kedar Bhakta Mathema | Keynote speech during Fellowship Awaits 2023

Mr. Kedar Bhakta Mathema is one of the leadership council members at Teach For Nepal. During this year's Fellowship Awaits program, Prof. Mathema talked about the present-day context of the public school system and emphasized the much-needed reform in the public school ecosystem yet again. Prof. Mathema, during the event, presented the idea that the public school system gives us the larger picture of what our community and society should be like. He shared, "School is a city that we give to our children, and if the city that we are giving to the next generation is not cohesive and equitable enough, then what kind of society and Nepal are we envisioning for the future?"
Fellowship Awaits is an annual program organized to mark the beginning of the Fellowship journey of Teach For Nepal prospective Fellows. This is an opportunity for the Fellows to interact with the TFN Board, staff members, and leadership council.
