    Looks like your plan and the detail work you are doing now should pay off big in the end. Excited to see the final!!

    Brother it's looking good, And you are absolutely right about the plastic we have to deal with now.. Nice work on the window trim and I need to remember that trick 😎👍🇺🇸

    We learn from our mistakes and challenges when we find the solutions. I understand the frustration. I have a couple shelves of unfinished kits that I've made a mission out of getting finished. 3 were finished so far this year. Your Nova is looking good, I'm gonna watch for more updates. Best of luck on finishing your project.

    i am no expert when it comes to primers but I have used the white primer for the first time on my latest build and it laid down smooth. I watched a you tube video on how to mix it and it was a 2 to 1 ratio. I part primer and two parts thinner. Good luck with it.

    So far things are looking pretty good, sir! I'm sorry to hear you had issues with the Stynlrez. I've used that primer before, and for acrylics it's been a solid base. Question about your LS engines... Which file did you source those coil packs from? I've got an LS with a couple different valve covers, but I really want those coil packs!

      Thanks for tuning in! I got the files from cults3d.com the designer is MOTABAS and I think the item number is 775273. It is titled Chevrolet LS3- Engine

      Question about your Stynlrez experience, do you sand the primer after it's dry? If you do, what grade do you use..

    I think many of these paint companies are marketing exercises in buying paint expensively. I use auto acrylics from a major British car spares chain. They are cheap, durable and proven to work👍😎

      @@StyreneDreams801 that's probably irrelevant unless you are in U.K. but you must have similar car spares companies in your country 🤔

    I have never been able to figure out to mount after market rims and wheels, can you make a video and show how you do it?

    • @StyreneDreams801
      @StyreneDreams801  29 дней назад

      @@samuelvasquez8170 thanks for the question. This file didn’t have wheel mounts I might have to come up with something out of styrene or create a wheel back on CAD. I have some spare wheels backs I’ll go through to see if any fit. But I will show what I did in a future video.

    Again I am not an expert but I don’t think I have built a model that the drip rail curved and completed the chrome trim. I hope you finish it and have video on your process.

    I have found the Stynylrez is not a sandable primer. It is more of a final primer you lightly sand and then spray you top coat. I've had it peel on me as well. It is not high on my list either. I use a primer filler (duplicolor) or Mr Surfacer first. 😎👍

      Also, I just got a 3d printer, so any info would be greatly appreciated! Where did you buy your files?

    • @StyreneDreams801
      @StyreneDreams801  Месяц назад

      I usually buy frim Cgtrader or 3d cults. Having a printer opens up endless possibilities and endless rabbit holes. Hahaha! Printing has a learning curve. I have a background in 3D modeling so files manipulation is easy for me to understand. I've created my own parts as well. On the printing side it took me a minute to learn and I'm still learning. It's just finding the right combination of resin, curing time, temp and all depending on your printer. If you have any specific questions feel free to reach out.

    You shouldn't have to thin stynelrez. I stopped using it because i found that after a few months it starts clumping up in the bottle, and you have to start straining it, and eventually, it becomes useless. Also the adhesion isn't great. I was always worried about masking over it. I'm much more fond of tamiya, or better yet, Mr. surfacer 1500 cut 50/50 work mr. Leveling thinner.

    The badger primer might be too old. It doesn’t have that long of a shelf life
    I use the badger primer with most of my builds, I primer the body with gray first and then do a light sand then I go over with the white badger primer.
