Lana Del Rey - Off to the Races live Manchester Ruby Lounge 04-11-11

Lana del Rey plays Off to the Races live at Manchester's Ruby Lounge on 4th November 2011on the first date of her UK tour. Lighting was at the limits for my camera (and maybe back-lighting didn't help), I've boosted things as much as possible without creating too much nose so hopefully they're watchable - the sound came out pretty good!

Sure there must be tons of better singers than Lana, and if you want perfection recorded versions will please you more. But I love seeing her perform live. She's sort of unstable, fragile, yet powerful and fierce sometimes and the complex blend of it all makes me unable to take my eyes off her. And this song, which has BAD and ILLEGAL written all over but one which still has a unique sense of pureness is just fantastic. I luv it. Thnx Lana! You're fab whatever some heartless people say about you.

I can't believe this video of Ms Lana Rey hasn't reached one million views by now. This is by far her best performance of "Off To The Races" out there. She really nailed it in this one. It's a shame her fans haven't found it in larger numbers. Not only are they missing out, but they don't get to see what she is capable of when given the chance.

I love this one performance of Off To The Races. Of all the songs on the album, it's her most metal song. Its much smoother on the album. Here you can really feel the metal in the song.
