Welcome to my layover adventure in Amsterdam, where I decided to ditch the usual tourist traps for something a little more... idyllic. Enter Giethoorn, the village so peaceful it makes you question why you ever left your bed this morning. 🚤🌿
First off, let’s talk about the boat ride. No roads in this place-just serene canals, like something out of a fairy tale. Our tour guide? Absolute legend. With stories so captivating, I almost forgot that I was freezing my face off. But hey, it’s all part of the Dutch experience, right? 🥶🚣‍♂️
The views? Immaculate. I’m talking picture-postcard perfect, with vibrant greenery, charming cottages, and ducks that clearly have a better life than most of us. Let’s just say, “If paradise had a zip code, this would be it". I’m pretty sure my camera was in love. 🌳📸
After soaking in the tranquillity (and mentally planning my future retirement here), it was time for a culture fix. Museums! Because as they say “Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.”
And those cottages? They’re so cute, it’s almost unfair. Picture-perfect homes that look like they belong on the cover of a cozy mystery novel.💸🏠
