I've said this in a different video looking at the new Arbites models. They look like a good starting point for "Misters of Battle." Their pattern of armor is very similar if not outright a masculine looking variant of the sisters armor. Tack on a sister's power pack and replace the weapons accordingly. Then scratch off the Arbites logos and either free hand or green stuff some fleur-de-lis on them and you are 95% there. You'll want to source some Imperial Cult iconography to give them a few baubles.

Imagine a team were you get an inquisitor (or interrogator) with a group of elite henchmen, and options to take "chamber-militant" units like Deathwatch, grey knights, and Sisters.
The brutalis dread is nice, I would've like a gravis lieutenant, and gravis artillery (desolators).

Hmmm. When I first saw the new marines I had assumed the cylindrical weapon was a belt fed autocannon but then became clear those were missiles not gun barrels. The combi weapon would have made sense with guns plus missiles. Missiles and more missiles? Not so much.
As I don't play the game that much these days just build and paint, I will probably file down the missile tips and drill them out as gun barrels. In my own head they are autocannons.
I'm more looking forward to the Adeptus Arbiters in the new Kill Team but I expect it will be out of stock immediately and never return to the web store.

I love how a lot of GW stuff looks., Like those vampire samuari really couldn't have come from anywhere else, and I love how they don't make them beautiful.
I see what you mean about the guys with the huge guns, they would probably have been alright if they looked a bit more buffed, like aggressors or terminators who are traditionally heavy duty guys. Yet they seem to be doing everything to resist going back to terminators. It's weird really, likewise with gravis. I think the main issue with the line of new releases is that there isn't a clear progression. Tactical, Assault, Scouts veterans, heavy's, terminators. Then you got the sub faction special sauce. We all got what their role on the battle field was immediately and could build companies around their core identity.
But new marines don't really have a core identity, they are a bunch of varied stat blocks that we typically pick the best out of to make an army, and I have no idea what a space marine army should look like. Perhaps that was intentional, so that marines could pick the best tools to fit their sub faction, but I've got no idea what a Phobos, Gravis or intercessor is based on the vague semi English legal language that is used to describe them. Like innovation without direction basically.
Thanks again for the fun video Jay!

Honestly, I understand how a belt-fed six shooter rocket launcher would work, as, while you shoot, a rocket gets reloaded, to not interrupt the shooting.
Or it could reload similar to the spiral from war robots, as in, after it has finished shooting, it reloads a rocket, then spins to the next one, and continues to do that until all 6 barrels are loaded.
The only thing I don't like is the space marine that is holding a pistol out while he wields the gun with a single hand
It would have made more sense if the gun would have been resting on the ground, because balancing seems to be an issue.

man those primaris guns would look so much better if they cut off the top and just stuck with the gatling missile launcher. I can get behind a gatling gun that shoots small rockets, that's appropriately ridiculous for the 40k setting.
Or alternatively just have them with the square shaped missile launchers and no gatling gun.
It's the combo of the two that's ridiculous and frankly, very ugly.

Everyone who hasn’t put a slann together seems to love the new model. The first I remember was in the 90’s it was a toad carried on a throne by six saurus warriors. Next we get a slam that hovered. It had a great meaty clear stalk. Then we get two where the model is held up by four or five “supports “ if you’d call them that. I’ve watched people build them and they are a nightmare. I guess beauty over constructibility. Also the modes are tipsy. I think to fix them is what I saw on google for display models, bigger bases and the clear plastic shaft in the middle. It gives you places to securely grab the models and they not fall over. Now in the 90’s some tournament rules were you had to stay on the factory bases. Age of Sigmar maybe different since every little miniature doesn’t have to stay squished together. Idk I need a new book. But if I cold find better pictures of how the new slann priest is stabilized I might save up for one. After all they (I believe) are all gorgeous models. Btw don’t the new saurus models look like one page rules models.

I'm already seeing two possible ways you could kitbash those primaris missile launching marines. It would require parts from first born missile Launchers though, specifically the arms. You would need to cut away the most of original launcher and separate the primaris one from its trigger assembly then combine them so that the primaris marine is holding the launcher like the first born, you're definitely going to need green stuff and lots of random bits to fill gaps, move the 6 shot launcher somewhere else (I say on top), and because you'd be using first born arms and at least one set holds the launcher with both, you'll need to cut and add spacers to true scale them. Now if you want a real challenge, try converting at least one primaris body into a kneeling position.

Desolation are dumb as hell. For one, the little revolver is the indirect weapon, so why the hell is it on the bottom (we know its because they designed this kit with the sprues in mind and having one set of arms and gluing the options on top makes sense from a production standpoint) but boy does it look dumb. Either over the shoulder launchers or something more akin to a heavy bolter / grav cannon grip, with the indirect weapon being shoulder mounted would look ace, imo. But others are right, they really should be a gravis unit if theyre going to basically be packing 2 missiles launchers (3 if youre the sergeant)

The question I have at the moment is how are super frag/Krack and castellan launchers connected. If they are separate pieces, you mover the super launchers to the backpack (like a typhoon launcher) and replace it with a laser pointer or the sensor from the backpack.
If they one piece however, I’ll pass and use devastators.

I really disagree about to many human teams. There are tones of parts of the imperium that are totally neglected modle wise that kill team is great at introducing new models for. Kreig got some plastic, but Catachans, Vostroyan Firstborn, Armageddon Steel Legion and Mordian Iron Garud have all been severely neglected and I would love to see them get kill teams at some point. There's also Inquisition Stormtroopers who haven't gotten model support in literally decades. Inquisitor Acholites could also be cool but I do sorta appreciate their identity as a 100% kitbased unit. Still I think they could be a mechanically interesting team and also maybe have a Jokaero which is always welcome.

I like the desolators. To me, they look like they are straight out from a 90's PC FPS Arena Shooter like Quake 2 or Unreal Tournament 99. Especially the latter who had a rotative 6 barreled rocket launcher fed with a rocket pack (you could easily imagine a belt to feed the gun instead). Quake 2's RL could also be easily imagined with a belt fed system instead of it's rocket pack. So yeah... I like them because of this, to me they scream "we're from the 90's!!!!" (but maybe not Warhammer's 90's).
On a side note, for a missile unit, people would have prefered a model similar to the Centurions, which were an universally hated model precisely for it's uglyness and goofyness, but are somehow... considered pretty models today??? In 5-10 years, we'll love the Desolators as much as we love the Centurion now, and we'll say "Holy Emperor, Desolators were so beautiful back then!".
