I'm ambidextrous but each of my hands has different skills. My left is better for controlled things like using a fork, pencil, or most tools. My right is usually better with sporty or strength related things, like throwing a ball or punching. Oddly enough, I used my left hand for the rainbow loom, back when that was popular, and my right for crochet despite both being done with a crochet hook. I guess that's because with crochet I learned right handed and grab the yarn loops over with my left.

Thank you for sharing! It's very easy to follow. I 'm not good at crochet, but your steps are very clear and easy to following. I struggled a bit joining the two halves, but your clear demonstration got me through! Really like your video. Many thanks!
I used a size A crochet hook (maybe size B?) and embroidery thread. It's definitely a lot harder to make, but I did it in about an hour while watching TV so I think I made it more difficult than necessary haha. Crocheting with thread is tough but it makes the COOOLEST stuff!
You can try it again. My first heart looked like heart however the part connect two circles I made not tight enouy so it’s look like a broken heart, my second heart look like a butt🤣🤣🤣 and finally my third heart look a little bit like the heart he has made in the video( it’s look the best beautiful in 3 hearts I have made until now-still ugly🤣🤣🤣) keep practicing girl 🥰
This was one of the first tutorials I followed when I picked up crochet for the first time on new year's day 2021. I came back to it today to adapt it for an intricate, posable crochet doll I'm making of my dear friend's elf character. I've also made a 8ft wide rainbow mandala that just manages to fit on my wall. Deadass I was at this for 2 hours making 1 heart (which turned out good!!) bc I kept miscounting and then re-doing it BUT IT IS DONE!! I didn’t have a needle so I used a skinnier crotchet hook and pulled the yarn thru and scrap fabric I had as stuffing! This is one grueling process but very rewarding! Thank u for this! 💜

Tysm for this tutorial! I have a school project with my friend and we don’t know how to crochet at all. All the videos I watch is a no-explanation and is very very fast. This really helped out. I hope my grades are good for the project. Thank you 🙏
Good thinking. Its a lot easier to stuff early, but I find that the stuffing ends up getting in the way for me while I crochet sometimes. Thanks for the kind comment :)
Aww you seem like a great thoughtful teacher! I’m making some of these for my friend for Valentine’s day, she’s studying to become a teacher and this is definitely something she would do!
Oh my gosh! You are so wonderful at explaining! This was absolutely lovely to follow! I’m thinking of taking up the tradition of making a Christmas ornament each year since the member of our family who used to make them, sadly passed after being very I’ll. I hope I can make her proud and happy the tradition will live on.
I tried making this for my dad for his birthday and it turned out great! I got it first try following this tutorial. I'm pretty beginner as well. Thank you!
Really nice just finished making it. I added an extra row before joining the 2 halves as I thought they were a bit flat. I also added a loop in the middle for a keychain. Plan to make a few more.
My mom love crochet-ing in her free time when she was still here. (she even made me a scarf isnt that cute) Back then i tried to ask her to teach me and i cant do it well enough (just a simple string though) because im left handed and she taught me with her right hand. so i gave up (idk maybe im a slow learner its hard for me ya know) And now all her stuffs are left behind and i feel like i have to learn this and make a good use out of it. Thank you for making this tutorial.
Super absolute beginner here. I've never crocheted anything before. This was my very first project and it turned out quite well! You're a great teacher!
I am so much over whelmed as for years I am watching the videos to make something with chrochet but couldn't understand so never tried.though I do of my own chrochet. the way you explained is outstanding.thank you so much 👍👍👍
I went to my first crochet group today and made a granny square well half of one. I'm going to try this tomorrow to make my partner a little pocket heart ❤️
As a year and a half crocheter, I wouldn't say that this is the perfect and easiest tutorial ever for beginners, the pattern itself is already difficult enough, more weaving and sewing and piecing makes them so confusing for everyone.
My second day crocheting and i followed your instructions and its turned out so well. Not as perfect as yours but for my first project I’m extremely proud of myself. Thank you for the tutorial 🤗
Just finished a 3rd one using this exact pattern, but with bulky yarn and a 9mm hook. It looks so amazing. I love it. Thank you again for you clear and amazing instructions.
TIP if your heart looks like a KIDNEYBEAN! 1. Make sure your two little bowls are round enough. If you crochet round 3 a little tighter they will turn inside more and become more bowl shaped which you want. 2. Sew together the two pieces extremely hard!! First going in and out under the stitches (so the thread is not forming an "o" over the stitches like in the video, instead just go inside them "under", making the stitches shorter = tighter) . When you've done that and it's completely closed, go backwards NOW in the way he does in the video over the stitches. So you've now sewed back and forth and the connection is really tight. 3. Working your way down after this, don't crochet too tight as this will make the heart too short. 4. To make a more pointy end, continue crocheting another 1 or 2 decreases.
Made my very first one a few minutes ago and it came out perfect. Thank you so much for your very clear instructions and visuals. Absolutely cute and easy.
Thanks! Great tutorial. Very easy to follow! I am beginner but already done 4-5 different amigurumis. Also happy to see a boy crocheting and explaining this so nicely.

Woo I did it! I attempted this 3 times, first time was a blob, second time was better but still a blob, third time was a charm, I did it perfectly
Thanks for sharing the fact that it is so much easier to make than pronouncing the name... I'm going to give it a try. Again much appreciation.
Thank you for sharing! It's very easy to follow. I 'm not good at crochet, but your steps are very clear and easy to following. I struggled a bit joining the two halves, but your clear demonstration got me through! Really like your video. Many thanks!
I’am gonna make the whole rainbow
omg me too, that's a great idea
"could be cute earrings..."
say no more
lesbian earrings
My thoughts exactly haha
Asa true
Me yes
Me putting this in a small package for my girlfriend: 👁👄👁 how’d you know?
lmfao why did i think this before i even clicked on the video i went straight to the comments to see if i was the only one 😂😂😂
oml he makes the vids so clear. i know he said its beginner friendly but like even beginner me would’ve been so frustrated and confused
Excellent video. Easy to understand and he speaks at an easy to understand pace.
OMG, this is perfect for giving to random strangers on Valentine’s Day instead of flowers.
Omg!!’I want to the little tiny one!! Like the one you made for your girlfriend!
Teach me!
I used a size A crochet hook (maybe size B?) and embroidery thread. It's definitely a lot harder to make, but I did it in about an hour while watching TV so I think I made it more difficult than necessary haha. Crocheting with thread is tough but it makes the COOOLEST stuff!
@@ClubCrochet A is what 1.25mm?
The small ones are adorable... Still haven't got the large one though; And I have been crocheting for many years!
Him: Just do this simple and easy thing
Me: ARRHHHH! HOW???
(*five minutes later*)
Me: tangled in yarn. I give up. :<
Him: Now you end it like this..
You can try it again. My first heart looked like heart however the part connect two circles I made not tight enouy so it’s look like a broken heart, my second heart look like a butt🤣🤣🤣 and finally my third heart look a little bit like the heart he has made in the video( it’s look the best beautiful in 3 hearts I have made until now-still ugly🤣🤣🤣) keep practicing girl 🥰
this was the first time I followed a crochet tutorial and actually came out with the product not looking deformed 😭 tysm i subscribed
So thank you for this tutorial and your kind instructions! Your way of doing a magic ring is still the only one I use :P pew pew!
Also one or two of the hearts I made in 2021 are still hiding in my house somewhere because my cat loves playing with them!
Thank you so much for this tutorial ❤ I just started doing crochet a few days ago and this is my very first finished project ✨
tried to do it for two days and I still can't even passed the first round 😂 gonna take a break for few days and hope I can make it, thank you for the tutorial btw! you're awesome! ✨
did you ever finish this??😭 i need hope. i also can’t pass the first round rn. not even the first stitch 😭😭😭
@@lithiumsoup sorry dear, I can't finished it 😂😂😂😂 but lets not focused on that, there's a lot tutorial that we can try, maybe we can come back here after we become more experience and who knows, we will finish it, I'm rooting for you 😉😊
Have you done it?
We need an update guysss
I love knitting. I think i'm pretty good at knitting. But whenever I look at crochet, my brain just explodes. Crochet is wizardry.
I feel the same way about knitting 😭
@@abbierouse5713 same haha
So I felt the same way until I forced myself to learn crochet and now I would much rather crochet. Just stick with it!
Same !!! I know atleast 40 patterns of Knitting but Crochet just 🤯🤯🤯
you guys are the ones with the wands, not us 😭😭
I'm a beginner and I'm telling you that was the easiest video to follow. You helped make it look so much smoother than what I was trying to make it with the magic circle. Thank you
Deadass I was at this for 2 hours making 1 heart (which turned out good!!) bc I kept miscounting and then re-doing it BUT IT IS DONE!! I didn’t have a needle so I used a skinnier crotchet hook and pulled the yarn thru and scrap fabric I had as stuffing! This is one grueling process but very rewarding! Thank u for this! 💜
Omg, I tired and they really turned out so well 🥺! Thanks for the tutorial, and explaining us very well ! And the time and efforts are worthy making these cute hearts 💕
me: pleasedontbemagiclooppleasedontbemagicloop
him: so, we're gonna start with the magic loop method
I absolutely hate magic loops
I used to hate them too, then I figured out how to do them and there was no turning back since then
Heres a tip from someone that absolutely hates magic loops do two chains which are pretty easy and just go back to the first one you made and do what every thingy/number of stitches in it and pull boom super easy
@@juliathecraftinggirl9606 yup I've tried that too works very well :)
I am confused. Is this the same thing as Magic Circle or not (and if not can I swap it with an MC)?
Oh my god, you explain sooo well, I just started learning how to crochet about 2 hours ago, and I tried this. And my heart didn’t look totally awful❤️
This is the best clear and detailed crochet tutorial ever !! I was able to follow along step by step, my work still needs improvement and thank you for this. I hope you'll upload more tutorials !! 🫶
Tysm for this tutorial! I have a school project with my friend and we don’t know how to crochet at all. All the videos I watch is a no-explanation and is very very fast. This really helped out. I hope my grades are good for the project. Thank you 🙏
Love this design thank you so much!! Only thing I did a little differently was stuffing it one row earlier since I’m not so good with fiddly bits!
Good thinking. Its a lot easier to stuff early, but I find that the stuffing ends up getting in the way for me while I crochet sometimes. Thanks for the kind comment :)
Trying to get a head start on my valentine's for my students and this looks absolutely perfect I'm excited 😍😍
Aww you seem like a great thoughtful teacher! I’m making some of these for my friend for Valentine’s day, she’s studying to become a teacher and this is definitely something she would do!
I just made the ugliest heart ever but regardless a heart, first project lmao. Thank you !
The loop is a really good idea. I should have mentioned that in the video!
My mom love crochet-ing in her free time when she was still here. (she even made me a scarf isnt that cute)
Back then i tried to ask her to teach me and i cant do it well enough (just a simple string though) because im left handed and she taught me with her right hand. so i gave up (idk maybe im a slow learner its hard for me ya know)
And now all her stuffs are left behind and i feel like i have to learn this and make a good use out of it. Thank you for making this tutorial.
Super absolute beginner here. I've never crocheted anything before. This was my very first project and it turned out quite well! You're a great teacher!
I actually did it!!!! The bad thing is it took me like 4 hours.
First one always takes a long time but the next should be a loooot easier
I am so much over whelmed as for years I am watching the videos to make something with chrochet but couldn't understand so never tried.though I do of my own chrochet. the way you explained is outstanding.thank you so much 👍👍👍
Him: Make sure it’s still attached
Me: ...uhhhhhhh (frantically tries to reattach yarn)
The same thing happened to me. Lol
Artsy_ Me Guess that’s what we get for not watching the whole thing before going along with it.
Aiza Mazhar ya, lol
(If you didn't know, the best knot for joining yarn is the magic/invisible knot, and it's super easy - v -)
Omg sameeeee
beginner's class? sorry i want potato class
lol it's really cute
Hahaha here's my potato level classes :b www.crocheting101.com they're all free by the way! Happy hooking!
“You can’t screw this up too badly”
Me: *proceeds to screw it up*
Very badly..
I went to my first crochet group today and made a granny square well half of one. I'm going to try this tomorrow to make my partner a little pocket heart ❤️
As a year and a half crocheter, I wouldn't say that this is the perfect and easiest tutorial ever for beginners, the pattern itself is already difficult enough, more weaving and sewing and piecing makes them so confusing for everyone.
him: and for round three this is gonna be supper easy
me still trying to figure out how to even start the actual knot: 👁👄👁
💧. 💧
RIGHT did you made the heart tho 🤨
hii !! you can also just do a regular knot without closing it all the way :))
Louie: make 2 loops with the magic loop
Beginner me: that’s 3 loops tho 👁👄👁
Me doesn’t own anything to do with crochet:
Also me: watching crochet videos at 2am
My second day crocheting and i followed your instructions and its turned out so well. Not as perfect as yours but for my first project I’m extremely proud of myself. Thank you for the tutorial 🤗
Just finished a 3rd one using this exact pattern, but with bulky yarn and a 9mm hook. It looks so amazing. I love it. Thank you again for you clear and amazing instructions.
Made these for my moms birthday and she LOVED them
I LOVE DRAWING HEARTS SO THIS IS PERFECT!!!!
Thx for the tips, I'm going to try them out and see what happens. Fingers crossed 🤞...
