Just made one of these and they're so cute! It took me about 30 minutes, but I think that's cause I'm using acrylic yarn, so more rows were needed. I did the tenacles different though; I left sixteen chains, chained five, half crochet back into the chain, then slip stiched into the next chain. I did this cause again, I'm using acrylic and the yarn is smaller, so I needed to make the tentacles bigger somehow. Loved this tutorial though! Thankyou so much!

It seems like a lot of people commenting about the speed of the video are unfamiliar with the types of stitches. I suggest watching videos about the different types of stitches, how to do them, the abbreviations for each, and how to read those abbreviations in relation to what order they're in in a crochet row. Practice those stitches first until you're comfortable with using them. You can also slow down the speed on the video playback by clicking on the settings gear, choosing playback speed, and selecting the speed you want.

Thank you so much! As an intermediate-skill crocheter, it takes me 20-30 minutes to make one, depending on the size yarn and hook I’m using. (Smaller yarn/hook = longer time for me.) But it’s the first amigurumi I’ve been able to make in under an hour, so I’m VERY happy! Also, the pattern is easy to memorize. After a couple of baby octopi, I realized I was doing it from memory.
I just started last night and have made 7 so far, with nothing but scrap yarn from my stash. These will make great gift bag decorations and tree ornaments. I’m also making a bunch to sell a bunch at a craft bazaar, and I’ll attach a label to each one that will link to your video. You deserve LOTS of views! 😊
To people complaining about the video going too fast: y’all know there’s a “playback speed” button, right? 😂
