Just made one of these and they're so cute! It took me about 30 minutes, but I think that's cause I'm using acrylic yarn, so more rows were needed. I did the tenacles different though; I left sixteen chains, chained five, half crochet back into the chain, then slip stiched into the next chain. I did this cause again, I'm using acrylic and the yarn is smaller, so I needed to make the tentacles bigger somehow. Loved this tutorial though! Thankyou so much!

I'm a beginner who just learned how to crochet about a month ago so has only crocheted a couple of times, but your tutorial was so beginner friendly that even if I did not know exactly the techniques that you were using, I was still able to follow along and finish in about 25 minutes. It was definitely as great as your own, but I am very happy because it has 8 tentacles, looks like and octopus, and does not fall down ❤
This was sooooo easy to follow. It was my first project and I had no idea about any of the terminology, but the tutorial showed how to do the stitches close up. It took me longer than ten minutes, and looks a little deformed but overall was a great follow along video.

Thank you soooo much for this detailed video. I found crochet hooks at my local dollarstore last week and was super motivated to try and learn how to crochet and make a tiny octopus. After a week of determination and watching your video over and over again, I finally made the cutest little guys. I feel so proud of myself for learning a new skill, I would have given up without your videos / articles online!

I found a way to make it take 1.45 hours wooo was my very first project and I completely disregarded the fact that everyone told me not to use fluffy yarn first. Counting is hard and I accidentally made an hendacapus (11 tentacles lol)
This is my first ever crochet! I used chunkier yarn and it came out bulky and only with 7 tentacles 😅 but I loveee it. Will for sure try other projects from your channel. Thank you ❤
Great job finishing your first ever crochet!!! That's so exciting! I have lots more beginner-friendly and no-sew crochet patterns on my channel, hope you'll enjoy them too!
This was the first thing i made, i tried a square a while back but it turned out as more of a triangle😂 so i was told to try animal crochets instead, and WOW!!! It’s so cute. Of course being my first crochet (that ended as intended lol) it looks more like a wiggly hat with a bald spot on top, but your directions were super clear and easy to follow. Thank you so kindly❤❤
I made it through the video and the little octopus is complete my tentacles didn’t go very well but I must say it’s amazing 😊 I am making more this time I hope I can make the tentacles better
I made loads of these then made some for my friends they liked it so much, thank you for this video it helped me grow my hobby. Sending love to your channel♡♡♡
It seems like a lot of people commenting about the speed of the video are unfamiliar with the types of stitches. I suggest watching videos about the different types of stitches, how to do them, the abbreviations for each, and how to read those abbreviations in relation to what order they're in in a crochet row. Practice those stitches first until you're comfortable with using them. You can also slow down the speed on the video playback by clicking on the settings gear, choosing playback speed, and selecting the speed you want.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am a beginner in crocheting and this didn't take me alot of time to make. I made two of them, and they are really cute! 😊
Thank you sooooooooooo much for this tutorial. it has many steps although very well explained!! took about half an hour but great finishing product thank you!!!

first took me 20 minutes, second 15 and the others about 10 minutes, takes practice but is a lot of fun to make. Thank you for the tutorial. Now to find pluche yarn instead of embroidery thread
I'm a total beginner and this really took me like 20 minutes. The only thing I've done before this is practiced my double and single stitches 🥹 great tutorial!! 🐙
This video is wonderful! I was looking for quick things to make for a market I have coming up and this is saving me❤❤ The decreasing at the end is a little fiddly but otherwise these are so quick.
Yay, glad to hear it! I have a roundup of free, quick, and no-sew market makes here if you want to check it out: www.sweetsofties.com/2023/07/no-sew-amigurumi-for-craft-fairs.html
Ahh it looks soo good I really wanna try it when I get the wool the thick wool ill try it!! I bet I can do it because this is a awesome video!!!!!❤️❤️🎉
I’m a beginner (like an absolute beginner since I just started today)and decided to try this out. It ended up working on my first try!! The only thing I would recommend would being a bit slower. But other than that, this was a great tutorial for beginners like me!
This was my second thing I made (like actual thing not variation) and it was very simple. The only annoying thing was that my yarn kept falling off the string it was connected too. But other then that this was very fun and simple!
Good job, wow!! I'm glad you enjoyed the pattern but the problem with yarn falling off is hopefully going to become less of an issue as you crochet more! It might be a tension thing. Not sure!
Thank you so much I've been trying to crochet for so long and though mine isn't that adorable, its an octopus! This is your reminder to not lose hope!!!
Thank you so much! As an intermediate-skill crocheter, it takes me 20-30 minutes to make one, depending on the size yarn and hook I’m using. (Smaller yarn/hook = longer time for me.) But it’s the first amigurumi I’ve been able to make in under an hour, so I’m VERY happy! Also, the pattern is easy to memorize. After a couple of baby octopi, I realized I was doing it from memory. I just started last night and have made 7 so far, with nothing but scrap yarn from my stash. These will make great gift bag decorations and tree ornaments. I’m also making a bunch to sell a bunch at a craft bazaar, and I’ll attach a label to each one that will link to your video. You deserve LOTS of views! 😊 To people complaining about the video going too fast: y’all know there’s a “playback speed” button, right? 😂
Aww thank you! Amazing to hear, and these do make lovely craft fair products and stocking stuffers and tree ornaments! You've got great ideas for them!
Really good tutorial, I recommend learning how to do a decrease and an increase first before trying this, though, I have made 4 octopus, the first one took about 45 minutes and the others only 30!
Exciting news! A CROCHET KIT for this pattern is available: yarnsea.com/en/project/2116/10-minute-baby-octopus-free-amigurumi-pattern

Mine has 12 tentacles, so you might’ve done better than me😂
Omg I haven’t been able to make anything yet and this is the first thing I was able to make thank you so much I just started
So glad you like it! Thank you so much!
Yay, that's a start!! Glad you enjoyed the tutorial!
This is amazing, even if i accidentally did 9 tentacles, it took me at least ten minutes to make and its still adorable.
That sounds like something I would do intentionally
Mine had 9 tentacles too 😂
first thing ive crocheted so theres a couple imperfections and it took me... 2 hours... and 35 minutes... but the serotonin i got! ooo! worth it!
so i made a second one and hold and behold its perfect, no mistakes (that i have noticed) and it took me an hour and 20 minutes
You did it!! Yay! You'll get faster as you work along. You did an amazing job for your first (and second) times!
Thank you so much!! This was my very first amigurami and i love it!! It still looks a little lumpy but still looks very cute!!
Your very first amigurumi? I'm so humbled!!
It took me more than an hour as a beginner, it looks a little weird but still so cute!! I am really proud of myself
I made it through the video and the little octopus is complete my tentacles didn’t go very well but I must say it’s amazing 😊
I am making more this time I hope I can make the tentacles better
Yay for finishing!! You'll do it faster and better the second time for sure! :)
One of the best how tos I've ever watched!
Thank you so much!!
Mine looks so cute and it only took me about twenty minutes and Im a beginner! Thanks for the tutorial!❤
I LOVED THE RESULT, it came out so cute and you explained it so well, thank you so much🩷😭
i love it was so much fun my grandchild loved it she was able to make it
So awesome to hear!!
I made loads of these then made some for my friends they liked it so much, thank you for this video it helped me grow my hobby. Sending love to your channel♡♡♡
Awww so awesome to hear! Yay!! Your friends msut be so happy with their octopi!!
@@SweetSofties they sure am♡
It seems like a lot of people commenting about the speed of the video are unfamiliar with the types of stitches. I suggest watching videos about the different types of stitches, how to do them, the abbreviations for each, and how to read those abbreviations in relation to what order they're in in a crochet row. Practice those stitches first until you're comfortable with using them. You can also slow down the speed on the video playback by clicking on the settings gear, choosing playback speed, and selecting the speed you want.
Thank you for the great advice!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am a beginner in crocheting and this didn't take me alot of time to make. I made two of them, and they are really cute! 😊
Yay, awesome to hear!!!
This was really helpful as I am a beginner and I managed to make it in 10 minutes!🎉
Great job, and I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial!!
Wow i made it in 1hour
This is wonderful beginners tutorial .
Once you know the method yes very simple.
Thankyou !! 💓
Yay thank you!!
Amazing tutorial. I literally only started learning so my octopus got 12 tentacles but I love it ❤ thank you
The more the merrier! But it'll make more sense the second time!
Haha same! And it’s a tad bigger 🫣 but it’s cute and only took me 40 mins!
Mine too!! But I swear I was down to working with 8 in the round. Same for you? x
Thank you sooooooooooo much for this tutorial. it has many steps although very well explained!! took about half an hour but great finishing product thank you!!!
I'm so happy to hear that! Your second one will be faster, but 30 mins isn't bad at all!
THIS WAS SOMETHING I COULD ACTUALLY FINISH! I' m very greatful!
YAY!!!!!
This is so great, you show and explain how to do this brilliantly!
Thank you so much!
I know this was posted a long time ago, but i decided i want to start crocheting again, and stuffed animals is where im gonna start! This video is super helpful and your voice is so nice! Im so excited ^~^
Yay, have fun crocheting again! It's so rewarding and enjoyable!!
first took me 20 minutes, second 15 and the others about 10 minutes, takes practice but is a lot of fun to make. Thank you for the tutorial. Now to find pluche yarn instead of embroidery thread
Yay, great job!!!
I made this with plush yarn and it was very big and cute❤ thank you so much for this tutorial
I had never do crocheting anything in my all life but I want and I am going to try it today. I hope I can do it successfully.
Cheering you on!
This was rlly easy and fun to make
Glad you liked it! Thanks!
I'm a total beginner and this really took me like 20 minutes. The only thing I've done before this is practiced my double and single stitches 🥹 great tutorial!! 🐙
That’s so great!
It also took me like an hour and a half but this was so helpful. Thank you so much!
Glad you liked it! It'll be faster the next time, now that you've run through it once!
That’s so cute 🥺🥺 Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial!!
So happy you like it, thank you!
I just got off the Valiant Lady cruise ship. I can't wait to crochet these to give out on my next cruise.
Hope you had a great time on your cruise! These would be great gifts for a cruise.
Mange to do it my second try such an easy tutorial and so cute thank you 😊
Happy to hear it! Yay!!
I was struggling at first but I kept trying and did it successfully! Thank you this is my first project 😊
Great job!
Ahh it looks soo good I really wanna try it when I get the wool the thick wool ill try it!! I bet I can do it because this is a awesome video!!!!!❤️❤️🎉
Thanks, hope you'll have a fun time trying this pattern!! :)
I’m a beginner (like an absolute beginner since I just started today)and decided to try this out. It ended up working on my first try!! The only thing I would recommend would being a bit slower. But other than that, this was a great tutorial for beginners like me!
Bro I've been trying to work on this for 3 days and still can't do it 😢
@@kittymeow3298you will manage! Everyone can crochet ^^
Awesome to hear it, yay!! Thanks for the helpful feedback too!
Not sure!
Thank you so much
I've been trying to crochet for so long and though mine isn't that adorable, its an octopus!
This is your reminder to not lose hope!!!
YAY!!! LOVE THIS!
thank youuu so much for your tutorial, it so easy to follow and soooo adorable!!❤️
So happy you like it!! Thank you!
To people complaining about the video going too fast: y’all know there’s a “playback speed” button, right? 😂
Aww thank you! Amazing to hear, and these do make lovely craft fair products and stocking stuffers and tree ornaments! You've got great ideas for them!
girl sloww downn
fr
I agree
Fr slow down
I always go to settings and slow the videos down
She gotta make it in 10 minutes
Thanks so much! I made the first one pretty quickly! I'm pretty new to amigurumi but I have been crocheting for a long time.
Yay, awesome!! The world of amigurumi is so much fun, hope you'll enjoy more ami patterns!!
So adorable!! Thank you for sharing! 💜🧶
Absolutely! Happy you like it Sharon!!
Really good tutorial, I recommend learning how to do a decrease and an increase first before trying this, though, I have made 4 octopus, the first one took about 45 minutes and the others only 30!
Great job!!!
