I still recall this. I played on a tournament. It's 2-2 Last game me druid vs mage. I was at around 20 hp with strong board. My opponent had nothing. He played Yogg and I fucking died. 😂

I think Yogg was the straw that broke the camel's back for lots of competitive players and aspiring pros around that time. Casuals complain about fast, tight decks and for the most part love OG Yogg, but for myself and many others (I played collegiate at the lower level), having a card that just literally coinflipped the game was horrendous for the competitive integrity.
C'thun the shattered definitely shouldn't be last since it was the wincon for a druid control deck for a long time and it's not like it was bad deck. Many climbed to legend with it including myself.
I never really used C'thun the shattered as a win condition though, the 4 cards it shuffles into your deck is just really decent removal for classes that didn't have a lot of removal like druid.
Good ol cthun. I still remember the game coming out my sophmore year of highschool and running decks built on just upgrading the stats on cthun until I played it for game 😩
N'Zoth has definitely been the best over the course of the game. It was the last of them to be dropped from Wild decks other than Titan Yogg, which has been dropped since the nerf. Don't think you can argue C'Thun over Y'Shaarj either, since the latter made it into 'Big' decks for years.
To me it was always kinda weird which mechanics/keywords would be rotated out and which kept. Some of them were just kinda basic and I’d think they would leave them in - some of them were just so weird I wondered why they even put them in the game.
same with excavate and invoke, just one expansion long keywords, usually involving bad cards you have to play to get a stronger effect later (y'shaarj, galakrond, excavate reward)

Ghuun is a synthetic old god. Pantheon created it by error while playing with experiments in their laboratory (Uldir). He's not as strong as the real old gods that were sent by the void lords. Its like a lab grown creature from old god flesh.
@@BaroneVIII Il'gynoth is the equivalent of ghuun because he's a old god tiny growth. Just like Ghuun was created by error by titans experimenting with old gods biological tissues. Far less powerful than Old Gods that just cant be killed without compromising the world soul.
OG Yogg is probably the unluckiest card in the game, he always destroy your board and sometimes even your deck, also is impossible to recycle since is all lucky based and after you play it you have no guarantees that it will remain on the field, while Master of fate on the other hand has pretty much any effect possible wich means that it is more random, but still safier than the original one
Dude OG cthun were NEVER EVER played, i mean maybe the first week of old gods, when they buffed it no one would craft the 100 support carda for cthun (beside maybe some youtubers)
Please, keep telling people the nerfed Yogg is good. I've had so many insta wins with mage by reverbing it. That's especially brutal if they don't use mind control on first turn. They waste 9 mana , I spend 3 three and at best get double the effect. They never recover from that tempo loss. It's always win
I feel if you rank all of these as win conditions you rank em wrong. Atleasr c'thun the shattered to me feels more like a good board clear to me to win more with. Control decks want this card

OG Yogg was too powerful (as in he decided games by his whims which was not great for competitive) that he got nerfed.

C'thun was my favorite deck when I was playing. Only reason I would return to the game is to play it in wild. Maybe my old Kingkiller deck as well.
Corrupted was such a weird mechanic in the sense that it was there for like one expansion and then immediately got abandoned
I mean most mechanics exist for one expansion, the only exception being tradable because that was just a great keyword they made it evergreen

Know what, I'll not argue this list for the most part. In terms of play rate, audience pop, and power feel, this list kinda hits all three accurately.
