@@StreetersGarage Years ago we one of those soft side pools 48" high !! One day it rained really hard and filled up to the top. Well..... Yes my neighbor then had a river in his backyard . Wow what a rush. That was a great pool for the money. Side supports are a good idea.
Hi, I ended up on your channel and specifically this video because I am planning on adding a pool to my backyard fun. "Problem" is, I'm in Wyoming, so my pool will need special care :D You mentioned you are from the Northeast and had no problem leaving your pool up last winter: where are you and how low does it get in winter there?
Their advertising them on FB for under 100.00 right now. A little smaller than yours. ...i just heard you say salt water pool ??? Never heard of that. ?? Thank you for your video ..
Any tips on how to set it up? Depending on size it would cost 2-5K to prepare the ground, digging down 1.5-2 feet, filling with gravel, compacting, and laying stones. So the prep work ends up costing 2-3 the cost of the pool….
every site is different. However this type of pool doesn't require anything special for the base. The ground needs to be flat and with no sharp objects. A sand base would be ideal, however for most people, they're not going to invest that much time and effort into a "temporary" pool.
About the skimmer. Do you need to plug it into a second out port? So do you have 3 hole ports in your pool? One for the water coming in, one for water going out and one dedicated to the surface skimmer?
Is the salt like the salt pellets that you would use on a water softer if you had a well or is it like salt that would be used for a salt water aquarium?
Thats good I was only asking because we have the same style pool but 20 x 48 and one or two of our pool legs have more weight as in the water level is a little higher which puts more strain on those clips and some almost look as if there going to unclip was just wondering if u have had same situation with your pool
How did you switch from the cartridge filter to the sand filter? Ours is an intex 15x48 same age as yours even same liner pattern! There’s a huge built in hole where the cartridge pump is housed...any videos you can recommend for converting?
I’m running it to a outlet in my garage. 120v outlet. Honestly, I didn’t expect the pool to last this long and didn’t want to dig up the yard to bury a line too it
No, since the filter and chlorine generator come with a GFCI outlet and it’s not meant as a “ permanent” install. The supplied power cords are acceptable
Yes and around $500 at the time. Just for the pool itself. Had to purchase the sandfilter and Chlorine Generator separately. Found those items on CraigsList.
The pool is not intex it is from Wilbar. Also I was informed the pool was more around 2000 dollars witch is still a decent amount. But the other 2000 dollars was for the installation and maintenance. I’m pretty sure this pool is made of a harder wall
Can you use long tubing to change he position of your pump. I'm getting a rectangle pool, but the pump only goes on the long side, I want to position it behind the pool to make more space. Would this lose pressure?
Great review - thanks for all of the helpful information! 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Just got this pool and it’s the best hopefully it’ll last as long as your’s :)
Awesome, just do your weekly maintenance and you should be all set.
Thank you so much for your excellent review!
You got it. Thanks for watching
If the water is wet it's a great pool ! Nice pool.
Everyone in the pool!

Thanks for watching. Take a look at the latest video on my channel. It talks about leaving it covered.
@@StreetersGarage Thank you, I will.

Yes. There’s salt in the water. It reacts with the chlorine generator to make chlorine. It’s not like the Ocean though.
Thank you for your reply, decided to buy one

Nope it plugs into the intake port of the pool. There’s a adapter included in the kit that will thread onto the intake port
Is the salt like the salt pellets that you would use on a water softer if you had a well or is it like salt that would be used for a salt water aquarium?
Nope completely different. You can purchase it at Home Depot, Lowes Walmart.
When you backwash, does the salt water kill your grass or plants? Or do you discharge it to the street?
I run my discharge hose across my yard into the woods. But yes where I do get some splash out. The grass has suffered a little bit.
How are your clips where the pipes connect to each other ? Not the clips on the legs but the upper part of the framing
They’re fine. No issues

Our pool is about 2" out of level one one side. We call it the deep end. lol
Even with more water in that area it's been fine. No issues.
Thanks for replying ok being that u said that I makes me feel better about my pool lol thanks again
You got it

Just buy the Intex sand filter. It hooks up the exact same way. I found mine on FB Market Place. You can buy through Amazon as well.
Hi thanks for share the video but I have a question can you explained to me why do we have sand inside of the pool
There's sand in the filter, not the pool. The sand traps the dirt and garbage that get's skimmed off the surface.
I’m mean that we have sand inside of the pool.
Any reason or idea what we did wrong???
More than likely you moved the handle on the sand filter while it was running. This is a big no no. You can only move the handle when the pump is off.
Curious what was the cost to do wiring from the house to the pool for the filter and pump? 120 or 240?
I’m running it to a outlet in my garage. 120v outlet.
Honestly, I didn’t expect the pool to last this long and didn’t want to dig up the yard to bury a line too it

@@StreetersGarage Thanks. Will check mine. Trying to avoid the cost of an outlet installed outside if I can
I am getting a different pool model that is also the same size would you say the size of the pool is good? Also what was the price?
Yes and around $500 at the time. Just for the pool itself. Had to purchase the sandfilter and Chlorine Generator separately. Found those items on CraigsList.
Thanks but my parents said ours is 4000 dollars is yours like a cheaper material?
and it's a Intex?

Ok. Completely different design then.

Probably won’t have enough force to push the water through
@@StreetersGarage even with a 800 gallon flow rate sand filter?
@@ABESuperKiteDay how far are you going?
@@StreetersGarage I just want to put the pump round the corner of the pool. Not the side. So the back.
Should be ok then.
IM GOING TO BUY IN CAN I GET THE LINK
link for what
Please link the saltwater generator. Please link your ladder. Do you add salt to the water once you start using the saltwater generator?
