This randomly popped up on my friends' suggestions, so I had to grab my phone and watch as he wasn't interested. I actually lived there many years ago. Went to school in Builth Wells... brings back some memories tbh.
..was that the daily special gingster's stew? Blimey the pud looked like a work of art, fair play to you. There's something I like about these little country towns and villages, no doubt locals take for granted. Lol to the dog greet moment, your expression = priceless! Nice one.
Seldom if ever eat out, more likely odd takeout now and again. Just find quality of scran a bit hit and miss..Cheesy chips et al any day of the week, often happy with simple beans on toast tbh sws.
That table top might act like one of those safari roofs found on old series landrovers, with a gap between it and the van roof to allow cooler air circulate betwixt the two thus keeping you, socks cooler. Maybe ;-)
Yes I think it does matter what colour the van is. We had a black one and we went and did a test drive in a white one On a day when it was sunny and 30 degrees. the white one was much cooler.
My parents used to own The Spar shop which was driven into. 2nd time to my knowledge as somebody hit the same place with a lorry back in 1989 and nearly hit my Mum who was the other side of the window. I've seen lorries jack-knife coming down that hill as my bedroom used to overlook the road. Going too fast and the ice can be a problem.
Another great video, really enjoy following your travels.:) I just painted my plastic conservatory roof with White Britanic Vinyl Solar reflective roof and glass paint from ebay. I was amazed how well it worked! I did a test with half covered and half not and putting my hand against the two was like night and day literally hot vs just warm! I also put some of that silver tinted film on the south facing windows, that was not as impressive and I could hardly feel any difference.
Ex-paint sprayer and basic physics applies but since in a metal box it’s only going to help so much.. White reflects Black absorbs Gloss reflects Matt absorbs So gloss white in theory is better. Did not know this but apparently there is solar reflective paint on the market 🧐 💙
Going to have to handicap myself.. no fun in a one horse race 🙃 BTW, finally published a RUclips video, partially down to watching this channel. Thank you. 💙
This is correct my car is white and there is a difference in cabin temp when the car has been sitting in the sun, still fairly warm “coz it’s fahkin straya mate” but definitely cooler than previous darker coloured cars owned

Black colours absorbs the sun like a wick, white doesnt. Silver foil or metallic silver paint is the best for cooling / repelling temps in the sun. Make a tin foil hat which also doubles for a media and .gov bull excrement repellent. Remember sitting on those 70's and early 80's marinas, allegro, vauxhaul vivas pvc Black seats or dark leather sofas in your tight 70's / 80,'s kids shorts when, Outch.... burny burn burn!
That's what summers in Devon & Cornwall were like in the 70s. Every summer song was a timeless belter. Are kids really having a childhood like us? That's what boils my blood.
@@SocksWithSandals no it's a plastic world these days. It doesnt feeeeel real, different frequencies then than the ever increasing reverberations now. Like the melody has been taken out of the tune. May make the youngsters eventually sing a new song!
Enjoyed this vid very much, as always. As I always tell my other half, "can't be arsed" is a perfectly valid excuse for not doing stuff.

I went on a random drinking session there thirty years ago. Met an interesting bloke called Clifford.
You went all Lord FlashHeart on that blue stone on the wall... Woof, woof!
Excellent editing and soundtrack as usual!

Lamb hotpot with a Butterscotch cheesecake and a pint of Pale Ale.
That kind of life was my old normal.

Really nice to see u having a good meal and a pint simple little things can sometimes be very enjoyable👍
I spent a week's food budget on that lamb hotpot, butterscotch cheesecake and pint of IPA. Life felt normal just for an hour.

Indeed.
It was a good roof rack shade for the sunny mornings

Good bit of local history there.

I imagined such a thing would be possible, now I know what to get.

You're not the first viewer to suggest I work for the Welsh tourist board.
I was going to ask why you keep the table? But I see it’s now to keep the sun out.
There is method in this madness yet.

Public toilets closed . . . WHAT!!!🌈
Yep. It's not universal.
Town councils just randomly shut the bogs, lock up children's playgrounds and stop emptying bins.
Because covid.
