That is a fine looking tower, I appreciate the plank work.
It has it's charms, though the LOD is werid.

Didn't know you could move those big red ship containers.............how do you get those on top of a tower??
If you go into the crafting menu and select the panel as a build order, you can roam freely before placing it. Just select the panel wall from the menu and climb to the top of the tower!
Love this concept.
If you can afford the resources it works reasonably well!

I don't think the player avatar has a whole lot of animation making it look stiff and unnatural.
Ive comeback to this vid like 10x just to learn how u did that vertical part on the build so I can make a treehouse esque base

after you build your first faft its to bad that you can not fill the rubber raft up with water makeing it like a small pool. lol
Buckets used to work that way before they were removed. I guess it's technically possible to have a raft-size paddling pool!
seems to me that its a lot of work and resources for little reward. but if it worked correctly it would have grand. awesome idea though. i appreciate your time and effort.
You can use cloth to make a tower as fibrous leaves are a renewable resource. Dismantle any stairs to save materials and only use a single foundation.
By late game, resources aren't that much of an issue.
Tbf rewarding somewhat when you see you built huts in the distance approaching your Island after searching the ocean awhile it's easy to loose your way builds do help spot your land ofc
Yeah, you can customize an island and console piece PS five or Xbox but I’ve never actually done it. I’ve usually original islands so I can’t tell you how well they turn out.
It's worth playing through the base game at least once.
For re-playability, the map editor is essential. It allows you to break out of the small/large island combo and create some fun home islands.

Pretty much any tall structure will do. So long as you can see it from neighbouring islands.
The link to hobbs renown didn't work for me, and I can't find it on the steam workshop. I don't know what to do!

How far did you get? Were you able to download the map at all?
As a test - the three Hobbes maps (Rest, Renown, Revenge) are up on the Steam workshop for Stranded Deep.
@OverdriveTheatre I clicked the link and it took me to three documents, the name, the next one having 3 maps, and a "read me". When I clicked read me it only gave me the option to copy the name, like it wouldn't open. Also did you just upload them on steam? I searched "Hobbes renown" and nothing came up. Thank you for taking the time to reply by the way!
On Google docs, you can download the whole zip file using the icon top right of the screen. It's not intuitive, I know.
As for Steam, I uploaded them to the workshop today. They're up as Hobbes Rest, Renown and Revenge respectively.
Or just search for Hobbes.
