Fremont, WI Whitebass Fishing Not The Same

Fremont, WI whitebass fishing is not the same. I said we limit each person to 25 whitebass. Hey! I speak my mind.
Overall it was a good day to fish for some whitebass. Please enjoy the video.

I was there last May fishing out of my boat. I used slow retrieval, faster retrieval, twitching. I used plain Aberdeen hook with minnow, Fly with minnow. I still couldn’t catch nearly as much as the boats around me. I was completely frustrated, I was watching them and using the exact same color and technique as they were. I just couldn’t understand it. I wound up with 25 for the entire day with 3 of us.

I fish there a lot, especially when the whitebass are running. Drag your and bounce your minnow slowly off the bottom or sit your minnow down to the bottom and bounce it two or three times and reel and bounce again. It seems to be working for all the time especially when the bites are slow.

This guy know the trick….some of these guys do this but too fast.

When was this? This past weekend? If so, the majority of the whitebass were down river. They were hitting in town the weekend before Memorial day.

Hmmm... I was there too but on the other side of the bridge in the morning. Moved after noon due to too many boats. Tried a few other spots down river and ended up across from Gala. Didn't seem to matter where I was. I caught fish everywhere. Well, there's always next year! Also, Nekoosa was a bust this year. Damn 90 degree heat wave screwed it all up. They spawned within 2 to 3 days and then got the hell outta there.

Don’t use that hook. It has bad hookup. Hence u seem to always miss the hookup, use a red Aberdeen hook
