@@infernus-A I think if they scrapped the form and the 110 stat boost for a Mega and 100 stat boost, it may be seen as a downgrade. Which it will be. Where as customising the forms and giving Chesnaught and Delphox the same treatment would be an upgrade. It would also give them uniqueness among starters, which should be a thing.

So you gotta think that if we do get something like that then they'd go for pokemon who'd have a good chance at Battlebond, pokemon the anime have shown having a deep connection with Ash or other protags.
🧬🌊🧣 means Battle Bond Greninja, most likely custom forms. The 🧬 relates to the dna bond the trainer and Pokemon must have to create the unique form. Which works with how pets take on their owners personality. When Froakie evolves all the way to Greninja, it slowly takes on parts of its trainer's dna through aura, allowing the form to exist with our infulence. The base form would exist (without Ash's influence colours) then we'd have to add our influence, this then creates another thing we can do, create a team of Battle Bond Kalos Starters (Our form Greninja, Friend form Chesnaught and Friend form Delphox) If true, I'd like Greninja to get more ninja based moves like Ice Kunai and Aura Darts to also deliver a random stat effect to go with its Water Shurriken. Also giving the Kalos a mega would be a mistake as we have way too many starters with megas. Starters need unique mechanics.
