  • In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2000 Chevrolet Camaro SS. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

    I've been driving a 99' Z28 for about nine years now. I've put over 120.000 miles on her on top of the 50,000 she had when I bought her. I have to say I'm still proud to drive this car.
    My only complaints are that the interior doesn't age well, but that really doesn't matter when you have that awesome motor. Its kinda sad that these cars are past their prime now, but the LS1 Camaros were the "It" car on the road for most of the 2000's. Everyone compered their hot rod to the "Camaro SS".

    That is a beautiful car, I remember when the LS1 engine came out in '98, they blew everything away, even better they were advertised with 320hp, but motor trend got 335hp at the wheels on one, so GM was being a bit clever with these cars.

    • @irocjared
      @irocjared 2 года назад

      Yeah they had the same hp as the corvette did, but they advertised it as a lower rating because they didn’t want people to know it was the same car basically.

    most cars are equipped with rev-limiters that only go up to 4K on park or neutral. My car only hits 3500. Its never a good idea to rev past 4000. That's why limiters are installed. So people don't over rev cars and cause engine damage.

    knowing if it was manual, they probably do have them past 6000 in drive (like all other cars) since you have more of a chance hitting redline than you were with an automatic. My Olds LSS never gets past 5500 before it changes gear (same tach set up as this camaro)..True it might hurt the timing (or if the engine is stone cold), but with the god awful gas prices these days...I wouldn't even do it

    @Tamadrummer1981 I think the Big 3 has always done this in their muscle cars. Even the new 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 is said to produce more than the 412HP it suggests. I guess they just pick a supposed safe number since every engine might produce a bit more than others. They said the new Dodge 392 does the same.
