Portugal at Eurovision is not so much about showstopping tunes (although it has some), but more about creating a musical journey.
Portugal is not about fireworks, bumble gum pop or copying trends but it's about setting a mood
It's classy , warm , soulful and gorgeous 😍
It's one of those songs that from the very first chords, and especially with Maro's magnetic voice, forces you to silence because you don't want to miss anything. This is the warm and calm magic that stands out from all the exuberance of the Eurovision show.
This, Netherlands, and Greece are all giving me the sad indie girl vibes I need this year. Living for this. :)

Thank you so much . That is the point, the world needs peace and this nostalgic song is definitely a peace appealing song, very simple, very honest, very humble. It talks about feelings, about the sadness and emptiness that Maro is feeling about losing her best friend, her grandfather. No fireworks, no frantic dances, just herself, the audience, her grandfather and emotions. Very portuguese but universal at the same time.
