No... not really. Latrodectus bites are more medically significant to those people who have immune deficiency or other health problems. The very young and also the very elderly can be more effected by Widow bites. Latrodectus only bite if they are being crushed or pinched... otherwise they are very shy and reclusive.
Bites can effect everyone differently... and any bite should be looked at by a health professional. The venom of these spiders, though maybe not deadly, can be severe.
