Also after all the political drama in the previous book along with Harry's emotional instability because of voldy's surveillance this book is very calming to read, well until they return from the cave.
Yeah, I just finished rereading the book (what coincidence) and I found that with this one, she did everything well that went wrong with OOTP which was one single mess. To me, the two books are kind of similar, only that HBP is done better when it comes to writing and linear structure.
This was the first book to actually make me cry. After Dumbledore died, I was filled whit such a big sensation of "dude, what is Harry gonna do now?????"
Another interesting parallel between Harry and Draco in this book is that Draco was also a "Chosen One" because Voldemort chose him to murder Dumbledore. That makes Draco the Chosen One for the Dark side as opposed to Harry being the Chosen One for the good side.
Yeah and I think Draco relished the chance to be a 'chosen one' because he has always been jealous of Harry's fame. But he was only ever just a bully, not a truly cruel person and falters in his attempts and in his commitment to the dark side. I think Draco lowering his wand is his redemption moment. Some people wanted a real fight between harry and draco at malfoy manner but they already had it in HBP with the sectumsempra curse. Once it got too 'real' between them, they didn't actually want to hurt each other.
This video just makes me realise just how much I love this book. It's my favourite of the series and it was mainly because of the exploration of Voldemort's past but I now have more reasons for that now, thanks Morgan.
I think The Half-Blood Prince is a book about the Slytherins and how different they were from each other. Draco, Snape, Tom Riddle and Professor Slughorn, the book delves into the characteristics and mind-sets of these four characters majorly and has done a tremendous job in’s highlighting the many shades of the Slytherins and bringing across Sirius’ point that the world is not divided into good guys and Death Eaters! I really like this book. I think it gave a depth to the entire series in a way no other part had given before. The story of Tom Riddle and his brilliant psychoanalysis by Dumbledore just blew my mind as a kid when I first read the book. Brilliant video as always!
Even though deathly hallows is my favourite Harry Potter book, I can see why half-blood prince is your favourite book, because it's really exciting, the flashbacks are brilliant, Draco Malfoy is not really bad and Ginny and Harry are my favourite couple, too. I think both are strong, passionate, hate bullying and fight for Luna and Neville. They're just great.
During the last films and books Draco becomes an anti-hero being conflicted to which path he should take and where he questions himself on who he really wants to be in which side his heart really lays upon 👍
I finally found someone else whose favourite book is the last one! It's kinda been weird to me because even though the last books/ movies in a franchise are always really sad, they've always been my favourite. I feel they give closure on so many things and that everything feels complete and I love that.
Honestly I know nobody asked, but I never even liked them in the books, they always had a friendship vibe to me (even tho Ginny had a crush on him before). Don't get me wrong, it makes sense for Harry to end up with her, but I still wish they got more pining as a couple. :D
@@Miao559 Forget about Ginny being the best girl for Harry, Harry isn't a good fit for Luna herself! Harry wants to settle down and build a family, whereas Luna wants to travel the world exploring new places and finding interesting creatures. Not to mention, and this is something that you don't see in the movies, Harry is often VERY dismissive of Luna's personality, appearance, and beliefs in his internal narrative. So while they are great friends, there are clear incompatibilities that would come to the fore in a romantic relationship.
Yes, Harry was less vocal and fervent about it than Hermione, that's a given. But if we're talking in the context of a potential romantic relationship one can say that he is dismissive of her overall belief system. Harry is, obviously, a lot more down-to-earth than Luna. As I said, it's different if you look at it through a friendship lens; there is more space for disagreements on these issues. Just look at Ron and Hermione: her SPEW is an essential part of who she is, and her disagreement about it with Ron is one of the reasons why I am no longer as sure about their compatibility as a couple. Although, for what it's worth, in terms of the Sextet, if Ginny is ruled out, I definitely prefer Harry/Luna to Harry/Hermione. From the very first book it is established that Harry's greatest desire is to be part of a family. So I don't think you can understate Harry's love for the Weasley family, with one of its obvious components being how many people there are. He loves the chaos of the Burrow; it's why he comes back pretty much every summer (and Christmas during HBP). You cannot confuse Harry's chaotic life in terms of dealing with threats around him, and the 'chaos' of raising a family. Harry seeks normality, raising a family is a 'normal' kind of chaos. I've seen this brought up a few times and really, I've never understood it. Yes, Ginny is stated to be 'attractive' in the common 'Hogwartsian' consciousness. So what? Cho, Cedric, and Fleur are described in the same ways. Besides, it's mentioned like what, three times, in the entire HBP book. I haven't read the books in some time, I know there's the Slytherin conversation, which is the most cited one. There's obviously much more in that book (and others) about how Harry himself views her, both physically and personality-wise.
I wish Ginny was as bold in the movie just like the Ginny in the book ( seriously, shoelaces). Also, it also it annoys me so much how Harry and Ginny kissed in the Room Of Requirement instead of the common room.
Harry Potter Movies: Harry Potter and the confused face Harry Potter when puberty kicks in Harry Potter and when things get Sirius Harry Potter and the hunt for a barber Harry Potter and the Bad teacher Harry Potter and relationship drama Harry Potter camping Harry Potter dies. Sike!
I like how the themes in each book are somewhat mirrored across the series. I would say the fourth book stands alone in focusing on the return of Voldemort to power, and the dire consequences of his return. Books 3 and 5 are heavily focused on Sirius and Harry, as well as their relationships to the other Marauders. Books 2 and 6 are heavily focused on the identity of Voldemort as Tom Riddle, as well as the Harry-Ginny relationship. And Books 1 and 7 are heavily focused on the Harry as the Boy Who Lived, as well as on Lily Potter, both in her protective love for Harry, and Snape’s love for her.
Harry and ginnys relationship was a little awkward in the movie but in the book you can tell it gains and leads from the connection of the chamber of secrets which only they were present in
I have to say Half-Blood Prince is my favorite as well, because after the Philosophers Stone, I always knew Snape was the misunderstood hero, but when he killed Dumbledore, I got a little surprised, and I was shocked, through reading the Deathly Hallows, When Voldemort killed Snape, and Harry rushed to try to save him and got the memory tears, and after reading “The Princes Tale” I just lost it when Severus casted his Patronus, I was sobbing and laughing, and still to this day Severus Snape is my favorite character, Always :)
Jamesy Wamesy I always support Snape, I didn’t get surprised when Snape killed Dumbledore because I understand, no good teachers would let their student to became a murderer when they knew.
Why MovieFlame is a great channel: The guy who speaks doesn’t have a boring voice. The channel is interesting itself. It makes it easy for me to understand the movies and books 📚 Thank you 😊
I love the book, but my greatest gripe was Hermionie. The fact she was so adamant to shut down and denies Harry's arguments and reasonings to how Draco was up to something irritated me. Yeah yeah, it's hard to believe a 16 year old would be an *actual* Death Eater, it would be farcetched, but the fact she was like "Nah, i don't believe it." when Harry explained Malfoy and Snapes private conversation about the Unbreakable Vow... Like, come on, Hermionie, you're smarter than this!
She was described by Luna’s father as intelligent but limited. She is limited to what she learns from books. If it’s not in the book, she won’t believe it.
Indeed, Hermione IS smarter than that. But for that book she was dumbed down, so JKR could ram the Hinny ship down our throats, because she kept clinging to the plot as she first invented it, while in the previous two books Harry and Hermione were becoming way too close (book 4 ending with Hermione kissing Harry for the first time, and in book 5 Harry completely broke down by the thought of Dolohov having killed Hermione).
Yeah, the movie adaptation disappointed me so much. This in fact was the darkest movie out of the lot imo and they dropped the ball on it . Loved the cave scene tho
The movie adaptation wasn’t horrible but it did not do the book justice at all. Michael Gambon and Tom Felton were excellent though and the last 45 minutes were perfect.
@@joeyjerry1586 I agree that the last part was incredible. In addition to the actors you mentioned, I also think Alan Rickman did an amazing job acting as Snape in this movie!
The Goblet of Fire is my personal favourite. It was really a turning point of the series, which had great effects on the series as a whole. I also really like the idea of other magical schools and a tournament.
It was so different I loved the triwizard tournament. It was very difficult to decide between GOF and POA but I eventually chose POA as my favorite so Gof is my second favorite
Goblet of Fire was the most fun for me. I revisit the series because I really enjoy the feeling that I'm in Hogwarts with Harry, going through the school year, and I feel like the Goblet of Fire does this best
@@DarnHooligan I feel the same!! When I read that it was gonna be focusing with other wizarding schools I immediately felt excited to boast about Hogwarts lol
One little detail in the books that I love and that adds to this book so much is that Snape is the only character who never asks the students to open a textbook (except when he teaches DAtDA in book 3). For every other subject, the teachers always ask the students to open their textbooks, but Snape always puts the potions instructions on a blackboard. As if to show how little Snape trusts the potions instructions in those books. It's just one of those little hints that you'd never notice unless you re read the books, but it really goes to show how much forethought was put into the books
Good point about Snape. Apparently, the professor who distrusts coursebooks most is Professor Binns. Students don't even have books, they only take notes during his lectures. I'm surprised his lectures are not sold by some students who left school. Also I found how long the professor was teaching: "Already deceased by the late 19th century, Professor Binns was boring students post-mortem already in the 1890s."
damn , i just realized it after reading your comment . also during the DADA class , he told to open the books because he wanted the students to find that lupin is a werewolf .
Harry’s relationship with Cho was just a first crush scenario. The 6th book was about the time right before you come of age. They are actively working for their future and not just planning for it. This is why his relationship with Ginny works out so well. She was his actual girlfriend. They had time behind the scenes and that’s a huge difference from his time with Cho. Ron’s story arc in this book is underrated. I loved his whole storyline and his relationship with Lavender. She did it so well. After watching this whole video I can say I’m proud of you man. For the first on any Harry Potter RUclips page I can say you really know your stuff. I don’t agree with everything but this was a very well thought out video.
I absolutely agree. I love this book too much. What a perfect mix. Great storytelling, character development, superb backstory on Voldemort, awesome mystery about HBP, good romance storylines, awesome sense of humor and Harry speech to Slughorn is so epic to convince him to give the memory.
Grape2D tbh goblet of fire is a good movie if you haven’t read the book. But if you compare the two it’s trash. I mean goblet and half-blood prince are my favorite books, and the movies always look extra bad in comparison.
reading the Half Blood Prince book when I learned that Snape was someone’s double agent and was managing to have both Dumbledore’s and Voldemort’s trust I’ve always had a strong feeling he was on the good side, cause if he was deceiving someone it had to be Voldemort and not Dumbledore, unlike many people think I always thought Voldemort wasn’t that smart, his arrogance and self entitlement blinded him a lot, specially to those things he couldn’t understand or that he despised
Movieflame definently is one of the BEST youtubers at least my favorite he's so good at making videos. He explains everything so well and this book is my favorite as well but Morgan Ross just made me like it more
I loved the Half Blood Prince book so much, that watching the movie was a complete dissapointment, it still is. So much was cut off, left behind or forgotten, the book is just brilliant!
I finished the Half-blood Prince just an hour ago (for the first time) and it became my favourite, miles far away from the others... I just love the way you explain everything by presenting the facts... Huge support!
Half board prince is my favourite too... It has all... flashback of Voldemort's past, Harry and dumbledore's relationship, Romance, Suspence, Characters' transition, And ultimately a brilliant ending that leaves us with pain, hope and thrill... Loved it
You are the best RUclipsr. I mean you work super hard on your videos, you read the books and watch the movies. I’m really supersized how well you comprehend what you read and watch. I really like your theories too. Keep up the good work
The film rushed us into relationships but the book let them develop. You see how love affects Tonks magic. They dont tell us who she loves at first. We see Lupin not thinking he is worthy to be loved even though he loves Tonks. Harry finally realizes his feelings for Ginny but doesnt want to ruin his relationship with Ron. And when he kisses her in front of everyone and Ron gives him the if you must he knows they can have a little time together. Until Harry has to finish what was started he is happy with her. And after the war is over he marries her because they could have a safe future.
so today I learned that my already amazing English teacher, is a fan of Harry Potter, she made these two wands which she gave to two people who were working well and one of them didn't want it so I have it now. I always wanted one and that acctually made my day. ok that was random but yea
Just started reading the _Half Blood Prince_ again last night, my favorite book of the series & it’s not even close! Love all of the Voldemort flashbacks ⚡️
I love how many people are still die hard into Harry Potter. I grew up on these books. Waited for them to come out. Got all dressed up and waited at the book stores at midnight. I love this channels take on every book.
Well it's really underrated... And literally I love this book, adding to your points: 1. This book embarks the proper hit of maturity, as you said the breaking up of the eggshell, the dawn of realisations, the discovery of self opinion and options. 2. The maturity of relationships...this is just similar to real life as in at the age of 16-17 (not like today's social media generation) but as of the environment of a society that had more of physical connect and exposure), as Rowling depicts the era of late 90's...people grow up together making decisions for the one's right or wrong for them and also admiring their attributes. 3. As we grow up to age most of us realise that there is a battle going on be it in the world, amongst peers, a struggle for survival, a yearning to make happy the people you love or of long sworn redemptions....and we start to take a stand, so does Harry and every other character over there including Seamus where He fights and argues his mother for himself staying at Hogwarts for Dumbledore's funeral and not giving in for his mothers' bit of exaggeration 4. Decision Making...as their is a popular line from the movie Pacific Rim "When you're in a fight, you have to make some decisions, and bear its consequences" same goes for ours as well as Harry's life and the book shows that there is always a tinge of risk poking Harry's heart for each of his decisions , but still He as in we step ahead bearing that risk. 5. Loss of Mentor...it's not necessary that everyone lose their mentor or teacher to death once they are of age...some lose before that, some really late...some lose for time some for distance but the one common feeling we all share (including Harry) when we lose our mentor (be it on farewell, graduation, transfer or anything) we feel stranded, alone, able yet terrified and all we have with ourselves are their directions, teachings and the confidence they created inside us for our own selves and we again start to move "Ahead"... There's so much more to this but in a comment I feel this much could be enough...🙂
Was gonna agree until you implied that the _"social media generation"_ can't form any physical relationship and basically grew up like rocks who never interacted and are basically stripped of any humanity because apparently we're robots who didn't play with dirt and it doesn't exist to us 🙂
@@GreySeashell-j3m I actually meant to say during the 90s people used to connect and socialize more since they had no other distance communication mediums...therefore they had more organic definitions of relationships if they really were into each other...surely we too have an emotional connect but what do you think would tell you more about a person? A late night conversation with them by the campfire or in your beds through your phones?
The Ron and Hermione relationship in this book was great. It showed them being teenagers. With heartbreak and jealousy. Ron had to date Lavender to realize that there was one person he wanted to be with, Hermione. And at the end, while they weren't dating, their mutual love was shown when Hermione was crying into Ron's shoulder as he stroked her hair at Dumbledore's funeral. That should have been in the movies.
Morgan really outdoing himself every single time. You're literally the best Harry Potter/Wizarding World fan channel. I admire you so much! You're brilliant.
Order of the Phoenix is the best book, Harry has his best character arc in it. He's frustrated and angry that everyone is leaving him out of what's going on, Dumbledore is avoiding him, and he's dealing with Cedric's death. He's also being labeled a liar for saying that Voldemort is back, and he's distrusted by much of the school. He also starts growing distant and angry towards Ron and Hermione for things that are not their fault or idea. Neville also has a great arc here, and he's given a shot at the spotlight where he shines bright with his bravery, resilience, and determination. And of course, Luna Lovegood is introduced here, need I say more?
Fantastic video! JK really showed her prowess in this book, I think it was the most well-rounded and in-depth kind of novel of the series. The fact that as one read this book, the reader didn't find it odd that a 16 year old wizard would be used by Voldemort...the story was just so well-crafted!
This book is my fav too. It tells us so much about Voldemort's past, introduces us to Horace Slughorn and the character development is awesome. I liked to see Draco in a different role in this book. Also we see how protective Narcissa is of Draco...and can do anything to keep her son safe. There is also comedy in the book when we see Ginny and Molly groaning at Fleur or 'Phlegm' as they called her. We see Lupin and Tonks relationship too. We also get to know that Severus snape was the half blood prince. Love this book ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lol I just started the half-blood prince... And yes this is 100% The best book 200 pages in 2 days! Yeah my heart sank when I realised That MovieFlame read it in one night.
I love sixth book. When it first came and I was reading it I was 3 years younger than main characters. Now, when I and almost 30 and I reread it I can relive those teenage elevated feelings without actually being involved in drama. And being almost 30 years old OFCOURSE I am high pitched screaming out of cuteness during every moment with Harry and Ginny, especially their first kiss after griffindor won quidditch cup😊
I remember when I finished this book the first time, I really shocked about Snape, Rowling really create a great tension for Snape in the last book. Snape is really one of the best characters created in this book
This book was one of the best books I’ve ever written, maybe because I like romance. I love especially Ginny and Harry’s love story because it’s perfect, a girl who has loved this man for half her life finally ending up with him when most the time she was ignored by him.
Please know we appreciate your videos, the effort, time and execution that you put into them . I only wish their were more Star Wars channels talking about Star Wars books as good as yours !!!
I like the dark parts and character development for Draco Malfoy and how much dreadful trials he went through to the end in this book to prove himself and his worth 😜
The spinners end chapter was absolutely necessary as in the previous book we had just seen Harry be duped by Voldermort and fall into his trap. It was one of the main themes of the book. Without the chapter the reader would be constantly frustrated whenever in Harry’s POV and discussing Snape. We would have been fighting against the protagonist which would have only resulted in resentment for Harry, until the big reveal in Deathly Hallows. The audience needed to buy into Harry’s character beyond Half Blood which is also why it was essential to include.
When this book came out, my teenage daughter and I read it. She finished it first and was upset. When I finished it, I was sad because of Dumbledore’s death and who killed him, my instinct was Snape may not be as evil as we thought. It reminded me of Darth Vader fighting Luke. How Luke sensed the good in his father and would not fight him any more. The only thing I wished the sixth movie would have done, was the fight in Hogwarts when Dumbledore and Harry returned with the fake horcrux. After hearing this gentleman’s reasons for this being the best book, I understand why. The parallel between first and sixth books explained a lot. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with you, having just re-read the series. My ranking is: - Half Blood Prince - Deathly Hallows - Prisoner of Azkaban - Order of the Phoenix - Goblet of Fire - Philosopher's Stone - Chamber of Secrets
I do love HBP but personally (and I realize it's not a popular opinion) Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite currently as an adult and has been for a while. I guess I identify with the marauders more as an adult who was part of a group as close as family and we've lost parts of that group to untimely death, prison, betrayal, and just time and circumstance. I have to say though my favorite scenes from any of the books are in deathly hollows. Kreacher's tale when he talks about RAB and having to leave him and then in the end when he rallies the other house elves with the locket on his chest screaming to attack in the name of the great Regulus Arcturus Black. I could read/listen to that scene a million times and It still gives me misty happy tears, goose bumps, and that empty ache in the heart knowing kreacher loves and misses his friend so much but finally can honor him properly and proudly.
Thanks for making this video. I love what you pointed out the difference in the ways Dumbledore treating Harry as an adult and Draco, a child. For me, this book is my favorite (along with the Prisoner of Azkaban) because of how they were plotted. In terms of a role-playing game, the main quest through out this entire 6th book was Harry learning about Voldemort's Horcruxes; at the same time there was a side quest, more personal to Harry, which was to find out what Draco was up to. Two quests alternatively led the story till where it was near the end. And... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM, when they were both approaching to a big revelation, it suddenly came with an even more curious and sensational revelation that seemingly connected Snape to the death of Harry's parents. It was absolutely mind blowing. It gave me goosebumps every time when I read that part. I was so eager, to the point of desperation, to see the development of all three plots.
That’s a great point you made about showing Snape make the unbreakable vow and I never thought about it like that. You’re totally right! Had we not seen that moment, we would have unequivocally believed that Snape was good based on Dumbledore’s trust in him. We needed that seed of doubt planted before Snape killed him to really get us to believe he was actually evil. Great video!
I also love this book , I have been an hp fan for 2 yrs and started watching ur vid immediately once I did . I started this book a few weeks and already finished it ! Love the vid Half blood prince is my fav too
I appreciate this book cuz it gives us more backstory to Voldemort and understand more how he was when he was young , this aspect was awesome for me to learn. As for the movie goes , i thought it could have been a really original film out of the whole franchise : It could have been an origin story of a villain like Joker , Split... but i guess cinema at that time wasn't ready for it . Still , the 6th book is a great book for me
In french, the title of the Harry potter 1 is Harry potter at the wizard’s school ( or something like that). Because of this, the mistery of the book is: what is fluffy hiding? What is beneath the trap?
I love the first chapter with the minister and the muggle prime minister. Rowling has stated that the prime minister is a fictional character but I like to think it was John major. It is a great world building chapter. We get to learn about the magic-muggle politics and even dementor reproduction.
I skipped this book as a child because little me thought the beginning was so boring but adult me needed to know what I missed after just watching the movies and boyyyyy I was so pissed at myself for not reading it as a child. It ended up being my favorite book out of the series.
I donʼt remember for sure how this happened, but an interesting thing about how *I* saw this book and Snapeʼs loyalty: I was spoiled for the big event at the end that became such a meme spoiler. I donʼt remember whether it was *this* bookʼs Chapter 2: Spinnerʼs End, or the DH Chapter 1: The Dark Lord Ascending, but both of them are supposed to make you trust Snape even less, and for at least one of them I saw that and said “oh, okay, Snape is definitely actually a good guy somehow”.
Not to mention that the book had this gem in it... "This is your copy of Advanced Potion-Making, is it, Potter?" "Yes" said Harry, still breathing hard. "You're quite sure of that, are you, Potter?" "Yes," said Harry, with a touch more defiance. "Then why," asked Snape, "does it have the name `Roonil Wazlib`written inside the front cover?" Harry's heart missed a beat. "That's my nickname," he said.

Yes, Harry was less vocal and fervent about it than Hermione, that's a given.

Harry Potter in a nutshell 😂😂😂
@@oofcookiedough2244 Basically.
Omg! Yeah, it's so true, bro.
Harry and ginnys relationship was a little awkward in the movie but in the book you can tell it gains and leads from the connection of the chamber of secrets which only they were present in
A little? A LITTLE?

The halfblood Prince plot twist is very underrated in literature. It is certainly up there. Harry Potter is a mystery book based in a fantasy setting
Muhammad Hashir I whole heartedly agree. Her books parallel Christie’s and I think that influence is overshadowed by other fantasy authors
@@GZc12 thank you
It was not a twist because the stupid spoi bois.
@@madslaursen8353 Thank God no one spoiled it for me

Snape... always

Thank you 😊
I love the book, but my greatest gripe was Hermionie.
DigiWarriorCallum well I like it because it is proof that Hermione is flawed, just like everyone else.
Hermione is very close minded and for obvious reason she doesn't think Harry is worth listening to because well, he's not the smartest person.
If not for Hermione's close-mindedness, she would be quite an unrealistic character.
The Potions classes and the “rivalry” between Harry and Hermione in those classes are so funny in this book!
You don’t need to convince me. It’s already my favorite. Just sad the movie adaptation was so bad.
Well,its true.
@@siljapeters2836, obviously. Jim Broadbent as well as Slughorn. He’s so underrated and I love his interactions with Harry
It's a turning point for Harry and for everything that happens in the fifth book.
Me too! It shows the characters growing and the turn-point of the series!
Damn, I never noticed that… it makes so much sense now!!

This has always been my favourite book in the series! Voldemort's history is so fascinating. Definetley the best book!

And literally I love this book, adding to your points:
3. As we grow up to age most of us realise that there is a battle going on be it in the world, amongst peers, a struggle for survival, a yearning to make happy the people you love or of long sworn redemptions....and we start to take a stand, so does Harry and every other character over there including Seamus where He fights and argues his mother for himself staying at Hogwarts for Dumbledore's funeral and not giving in for his mothers' bit of exaggeration
You should make video essays on every book as well because you've been doing it so good
Morgan really outdoing himself every single time. You're literally the best Harry Potter/Wizarding World fan channel. I admire you so much! You're brilliant.
Yessss i love these kinda videos dudee
The Chapter Sectumsempra was one of my fave chapter of the book.
I was so on dumbledore's side in every book before the half-blood prince. I remember how shocked and surprised I was.
Dumbeldore is still a good guy but he is deeply flawed
I feel if we weren’t sure if snape was helping draco him killing dumbledore even more surprising and sad
Oh also we're introduced to Delores Umbridge who's an antagonist that, dare I say, more hated than Voldemort..
I would argue that hbp is more about voldemort than anyone else, that's why it's so good
Infinity War takes notes.
Love this book
❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love sixth book. When it first came and I was reading it I was 3 years younger than main characters. Now, when I and almost 30 and I reread it I can relive those teenage elevated feelings without actually being involved in drama. And being almost 30 years old OFCOURSE I am high pitched screaming out of cuteness during every moment with Harry and Ginny, especially their first kiss after griffindor won quidditch cup😊
Not only is this book my favorite HP book, but it's also my 2nd favorite book of all time.

The film itself is not bad. But as an adaption of something so well done is what makes it a fucking crime- you said it yourself, an emo rom com. Ugh.

Half-Blood Prince has always been my favorite HP book, it’s the one I’ve reread the most & the ending still makes me emotional every time
Can we just have a moment and say that how much movieflame puts his work into us and I appreciate it
The spinners end chapter was absolutely necessary as in the previous book we had just seen Harry be duped by Voldermort and fall into his trap.
You are so right..... HBP is my favorite too...u have pulled out nice descriptions to why it is the best
Why I can’t say I like a bit of the last part in the Half blood prince? DUMBLEDORE’s DEATH!!
I'm the Bald Guy - Voldermort 2k20
I love this book
I agree with you, having just re-read the series.
My ranking is:
- Half Blood Prince
- Deathly Hallows
- Prisoner of Azkaban
- Order of the Phoenix
- Goblet of Fire
- Philosopher's Stone
- Chamber of Secrets
4:54 harry's scar is so wierd
HBP is my favourite too. Thanks to reading HBP, I found my way into the series as a whole. It is just the right length too.
Movie flames voice is so calming
I was so eager, to the point of desperation, to see the development of all three plots.
its like when you know who the killer is but just have to get triggered by how close the detectives get to catching the killer but not catching them.
Hi
Hi
I totally agree with you Morgan, you took the words right out of my mouth.
Love the vid
Half blood prince is my fav too
I appreciate this book cuz it gives us more backstory to Voldemort and understand more how he was when he was young , this aspect was awesome for me to learn. As for the movie goes , i thought it could have been a really original film out of the whole franchise : It could have been an origin story of a villain like Joker , Split... but i guess cinema at that time wasn't ready for it . Still , the 6th book is a great book for me
Finally someone who likes Harry and Ginny 🙏🏻
Thanks for the warning at the beginning of the video, don't worry I will still watch it but just after I finish the book; I love your videos
Always loved the Ginny/Harry kiss in the book, meanwhile I hate the scene in the film
Half blood Prince is my favourite book too. It’s so perfect!
Movie: worse character development
Book: best character development
Not to mention that the book had this gem in it...
"This is your copy of Advanced Potion-Making, is it, Potter?"
"Yes" said Harry, still breathing hard.
"You're quite sure of that, are you, Potter?"
"Yes," said Harry, with a touch more defiance.
"Then why," asked Snape, "does it have the name `Roonil Wazlib`written inside the front cover?"
Harry's heart missed a beat. "That's my nickname," he said.
