thorough explanation with Incredible pacing! earned my subscription! ps: I suspect the reason the repel behavior behaved strangely in regard to the direction of motion is because the repelling force you applied to the logo is centralized on the anchor point!
I'm loving these! I'm just getting started in Motion and your tutorials are massive help! I am stuck at one thing though and no-one seem to have the same problem. I'm trying to split image into segments, so they can pop up independently. Is it possible to do in Motion at all? I know you can crop, but I want to cut out bits from the center of the image as well, not just the borders.
You want to use the masking tools just like I did with sectioning out parts of this logo. You'll need to make multiple versions of your image-- one for each part of the image you're trying to section out.

I'm nowhere near as adept with motion as you are, most of what I know I learned from you - but I'll do a challenge with you.

You need to reveal the keyframe editor. Click the three diamonds on the top right of the timeline
