HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 авг 2020
- In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a spinning 3d transparent image or logo using Apple Motion.
I have used a transparent spinning logo on all of my videos from very early on and have been asked lots of times how I did it.
So here it is, how I created a spinning 3D logo to brand all of my videos using Apple Motion on the Mac, I go through in detail what options to use how to set the spin rate of your image/logo and how to export your 3d spinning image out of Apple motion to use in videos.

Welcome to my RUclips channel "TheComputerLab" I created this channel to help others with everyday computer problems. It has slightly changed throughout the years and has gone from basic fixes to lots of different help videos going from iPhone tutorials to game system fixes to Mac and Windows tutorials and lots more - Please do subscribe even if you only visited my channel just for one video as your help by subscribing helps my channel.
AMAZINGLY CLEAR - unlike the hundred videos I had to sift through before finding yours !!! THANK YOU !!!
Thank you so much for tutorial.
Thanks!👍
Very VERY well made video. Thanks
When I do it however the rendered image bounces and jiggles.
Is there some special rendering settings???
Thanks for the tutorial
Great tutorial. Worked fore like a charm. Thank you ☺️
Thanks Dee
Dude! Thanks for this tutorial! I got my new MBP and wanted do something nice! This was a cool project to do. Easy to follow steps to make a 3D logo. Keep it up!
Thanks Obey I appreciate your comment, glad you liked it.
Excellent video, very clearly explained. Thank you I have now created my own spinning logo
Thanks Richard
Very helpful. Just made my own spinning logo to include in future videos. Thanks for the tutorial!
Fantastic!
thank you so much
Awesome! Great tutorial!
Thanks Rich
Incredible job. I cannot believe how quick I was able to bring my logo to life (I thought it would take hours). Perhaps the best instructional video I’ve experienced throughout my intro to design. Thanks so much
Thank you - Glad it helped.
You were a big help thank you
Great - Glad it helped
Thank you so much!!!!!
Great stuff I’m glad it helped.
I am new to motion and liked your Tutorial. I tried exactly as instructed by you. When I saved and published on FCP it appears on Generator and shows working well on viewer. When the template is dropped to timeline it does not work at all. Can you please advise Thanks Laurie
Thank you for this. Was my first Apple Motion project. Only got lost (my bad - not you) a few times. No more than 30. 😝But at the end actually, mostly, understand what the instructions were accomplishing.
Thanks skip, yeah there are quite a few steps to creating this effect glad you got it working.
you rock dude, you saved my life :)
Thanks Alzarough - that means a lot for my small channel
Thank u......Tutorial is perfect..... 👌
Thanks
...sweeeet! Thanks! :)
Thank yo uso much :) !!
You're welcome!
Great tutorial. Perhaps you can help. Every time I import a high quality PNG to motion it shows, and exports, as poorer quality. The issue is motion specific as it does not happen with a direct import to FCP. Any idea what I'm doing wrong in motion?
I loved this video thank you
I would like to see how it would work with a spinning cilindrical object.
Thanks Melvin
Apologies if this is a silly question. I’m very new to Motion. Is it complicated to give the sides of the logo a texture/look the way you can when working with 3D text in FCPX? Metallic, concrete, etc.
You can use a color outline to your image that only covers the border, after doing the steps on the video the chosen color outline should be the sides to your logo !
Awesome tutorial! Thank you & I had a question on how can I rotate the object in a certain direction? I understand its rotating on the Y axis but I want it to rotate at an angle. Thank you!
Thanks Mr Dulay, sorry only just seen I had missed your comment. I usually try to reply to all comments. The direction movement in Apple Motion (if I understand you correctly) is a different technique which I will be covering in another video.
Sorry for the newbie question, but I am following along with this video step by step and the background of my canvas is black, not the 3D grid pattern, with the red, blue and white lines. I've looked in the view options and tried different ones, but cannot get it to look like yours. How do I get that view? Thanks
Nice
Thanks Par819
Great video, thank you. I may have missed the point on how to make it so that the spinning logo is still like a PNG with no background. When I export and try to add to a video it has a black background. I imagine it is simple, maybe a lack of sleep, could you comment?
When i'm viewing the animation, there's a part in the rotation (probably at exactly 90 degrees) where I see through the objects and it looks glitchy for that frame. What's the fix?
How to make you Logo so kontrast in the Clip?
I have it spinning one time in 360 degrees. How can I make it spin slow for the first 270 degrees than fast to the final 360 degrees, like a slam effect?
Thanks a lot! Any insights into making the logo look like a metallic sticker?
Thanks Pedro - There are loads of filters built into Apple Motion that could maybe be used it all depends on what and how your original format saved and used in motion
This awesome. Is it possible to have it spin to show a second different logo?
Hi Andrew yes you could have another image sat behind the first image and just repeated in the opposite direction (hope that makes sense)
@@TheComputerLab No it doesn’t!😂 But thanks for replying, I’ll see if I can work it out.
how can I make the background transparent? It always exports my spinning logo with black background but I need a file with the animation which I can then import into other vide editing software to add it to different videos with zero opacity background.
Thank You for your video . I was able to create a 10 second spinning logo . How do i use that for a 5 min video that i am working on FCP .. I changed the project duration but the spinning stopped after 10 seconds . I am new to this . Any help would be appreciated . Thanks
Couple of different things to check, make sure you have extended the timeline to whatever you want the video loop to work for, make sure your clip encompasses all of the allotted time on the timeline, also check when exporting that you have the correct time / length you want to export there is a option to select all of project (or set a time length)
I am only getting two, not 3 axis? How do I get all three? This is my first project--very new to Motion,
Thank you so much for this video. But how can i create such a 3D Logo using windows 10? i have gone through all your RUclips channel videos but i could not see anything how you do such in windows 10.could you also make a video about how u do it in windows 10? thanks alot
Hey bobo, I have created a rotating logo in Windows 10 but using photoshop (which you have to pay for) I haven’t created a video on it because of having to pay subscription for Photoshop which I am not comfortable with. And thanks for watching.
Please continue doing motion videos.
Thanks Jose - I try to do a range of different tutorials on my channel - But I do have some more Apple Motion tutorials that I plan on doing. Is there any particular Apple motion tutorials you would like to see?
The Computer Lab
yes actually,
•lighting subject on the 3D plane.
•How to create shapes and use particles to make logos or intros pop out more.
• camera motion basics can be good too
Thanks Jose - My next Apple Motion video is text tracking. But I will see what I can schedule in for the ones you have suggested.
The Computer Lab no thank you for putting your time and knowledge into these videos. :)
hi, just what I need, would like tutorials using 3d objects
How find "INSPEKTOR"? I installed Motion new?
Hello and thank you for this awesome video. What if we want to have a high speed rotating logo at the beginning of the video, with a progressively slowing down speed to zero so that the logo gets still at the end of a, for example, 10 sec long rush ?
Hey - So you would probably have to make a longer composition of the clip with the technique shown in the video then adding in another behaviour so it seamlessly transfer speed. Not easy to explain but relative straight forward in Apple motion.
@@TheComputerLab and not easy to understand lol trying at the present to deal with key frames ans a parameter called Transformer.Rotation.Y... exploring...
@@TheComputerLab found sthg by adding a behavior called Spining Movement (in Simulations) , but tough to configure to have the logo stopped right in front.
I followed your very clear direction, but was only green and red (no blue) perspective axis. What do I need to do to get all 3 axis?
Hi Terry, Really hard to explain where the 3D is on the menu but it sold like your still in 2D but if you still have the default layout then just under the preview window you have a set of tools next to the transfer tool is "adjust 3d transform" make sure this is selected it should be Blue colour. Also make sure you have the correct layer selected in the menu before trying to adjust 3d.
WHen I click camera and try to move around iut keeps going to replicator
how to make it transparent, and not a movie but a looping gif>?
also there is this little frame jump it does in the middle? any suggestions
