I’m stating that Scott turns from Boy Scout who follows Xavier’s example into a far more extreme anti-hero like Magneto. He later becomes a full-one villain.
Beast also goes down a dark path, and starts experimenting on mutants like Sinister.
The writing team for X-MEN'97 should be writing all of the upcoming mcu xmen movies.
Included their upcoming live action shows (after Echo) in Marvel Spotlight label for case there's an issue in the writing room due to creative difference or as a writing consultant. I'm looking forward to Daredevil Born Again (2025). Despite, they also had a creative overhaul around October 2023.

It actually was real. The voice actress for Rogue said she used grief she had from someone she lost in real life. She put herself into that performance.

(1:00) I like how the X-Men don't have a single photo of Gambit in normal attire for the funeral, so they instead use his Fleer Ultrad trading card.
Rogue bawling with Kurt felt genuinely heartbreaking. The VA said a member of her family passed away and she channelled that into her recording sessions. And I believe you can absolutely hear her genuine, real-life grief.
Also, I liked how despite meeting Scott and Jean before in XTAS, Cable never seemed moved by meeting them. And here, it’s retroactively explained it’s because he knows Jean is not his mother, Maddie was. And it pains him knowing he wasn’t able to save her.

@@Samsung_KnigntProbably because Scott would end up with Jean whenever Cable would visit. It’s neither Scott nor Jean’s fault (nor Maddie’s for being a clone) but in Cable’s eyes, his father had “abandoned” his mother, even though that wasn’t the case.
He also witnessed his mother die before his eyes, alone.

Seeing Jean wipe away Scott's tears totally got my tears going.
Bastion was on Genosha before the attack. If you watch episode 5, when Magneto gets to the gala there is a zoomed out shot of Magneto at the top of the stairs and someone with blonde hair walks in the foreground obscuring the shot. That was Bastion. Also, it is awesome to see them showcasing just how powerful Jean is. She yeeted the top of a building out of the city.
You can actually see Bastion at the gala. He makes a brief cameo.

I know, but it’s a tough nut to crack. Over 20k subs may not seem like much compared to some, but I’d guess that is top 75 percentile. Now by genre of reactors, I’m not sure. They are my favorite for comic book content
I know I've seen cartoons cry, many times, but seeing Rogue just all-out bawl, over Gambit...that hurts.
People need to remember that the people behind this show are not the same fools who disrespected Jean Grey in the original by turning her into a damsel in distress. There will be no fainting here. If you watched X-Men Evolution, you would have also seen her portrayed the same way she was in the comics - no fainting, just the powerhouse OG omega level psychic that she was.
I absolutely love your reactions. I always love Trent's smile seeing his comics brought to life and I love seeing Julia's newcomers view and how she perceives injustice and the love of X-Men.
P.S Rogue's dive kick was a reference to Rogues dive kick in Marvel Vs Capcom 2!
Bastion actually WAS on Genosha. If you look closely, during the gala, you can see his head passing right by the camera. It was before Magneto's and Rogue's dance.
Bastion was at the gala. In episode 5, one of the first scenes with Magneto at the gala, Magneto looks up and you see the top of Bastion's head walk by.
Morph gets me every time with those surprise cameos.

I realized this when showing the clip where Rogue went nuts then Scott talking to President Kelly. Ron Rubin, Morph's original VA, dun, dun, dun, also played Vision in the cartoon Avengers, and his voice was computerized like that. So to have him in a digitalized computer holographic form like that, that has to be an Easter Egg nod for sure to that.
Trent do you think they are setting up Avengers vs X-Men in the upcoming seasons? We've got Cap, a shot of Stark building, mention of the Hulk, etc etc.

Scott is becoming more like Magneto, and him going down a more radical path leads into Avengers vs X-Men.
They also keep name-dropping Phoenix. So I’m sure it’ll return, try to go after Jean who will reject it, and instead it’ll possess Scott, not unlike in the comics. With some obvious story changes, like they’ve done with other arcs they’ve adapted.
I found you two during this X-Men 97 run and what I appreciate about you is that you know your X-Men lore. I don't the comics very well, so watching you guys is nice.

@arc7375 Morph can inimate physical abilities, but not any energy projection. For example, Morph couldn't turn into Jean/Prof X and use telepathic abilities.

Then I predict Gambit's healing Factor to manifest he escapes his tomb only to be immediately kidnapped by apocalypse and brainwash to become one of the four members of the horsemen of apocalypse. My other prediction is Rogue will be blamed for bastian's murder which I believe the Avengers and X-Men will go at it because the X-Men will try to Define Rogue. I believe both my predictions won't see the light of day until season 2. Love you guys reactions and I look forward to the ones to come. After we saw Bastian's face I knew we saw him before and I was right. We actually saw his face in the gala for a brief moment when he was passing by.

With magneto still alive (also looking like Bastion is going to manipulate him somehow), and with Charles heading back to earth. Also with cable saying "he is coming". If Wolverine gets his adamantium ripped out and Charles turning magneto into a vegetable next episode. I still feel like Onslaught is who is coming and who Cable was talking about.
Bastion clearly likes that Purple People Eater song. He turns it on wherever he's at.

I have a theory of how the season ends. It will be an adaptation of Schism, and they X-Mem will be divided ideologically into revolutionary Cyke's team on one side, Storm's team om the other.

In Episode 5: Remember It, if you fast forward to 20:48 you will see Magneto enter the ballroom and look up to the balcony. Bastion walks past the camera for a moment so he’s definitely keeping an eye on everyone, anticipating what’s about to happen
Marvel fired the Showrunner and Writter Beau Demayo for his OF page and supposedly "hard to work with", its seems to me he made a masterpiece with this show.
If season 2 gonna have any chance to be this good, fans must start a petition for him to get his job back.
People that said he was "hard to work with" should get a grip and learn to work together anyway, cause these episodes are perfect everytime.

The guy uses steroids, and roid rage is a very common side effect. It’s apparently the case he was bullying and harassing people in the team.
“Hard to work with” can mean many things. And if turning up to do your job, only to be bullied, then it’s not something to just ignore.

Little detail to point out, Jean has her hair down instead of in a pony tail, she's honoring/grieving Madelyn in her way
I think the intention was solely to be able to tell the two apart. Now Maddie’s dead, it’s not necessary. And her hair being down was a much better, updated look.

I got more Onslaught foreshadowing from Jean talking about the lingering psychic resonance of the dead mutants on Genosha than I did with anything Bastion said.

About Rogue - Her mutant power is only absorption upon skin contact. If you're going to talk about whether she's omega or not, you can only consider that ability. The flight, super strength, super speed and invulnerability are not hers. They're Ms. Marvel's powers and there's nothing mutant about those. It's similar to Wolverine's adamantium skeleton and claws. So technically, it's Ms. Marvel who's impressive, not Rogue.
If I had to guess Rogue’s mutant level, I’d say she was beta level. A beta level, however, that allows her to borrow powers from all mutant classes.
I believe Wolverine is also Beta level. The irony is that X23 seems to have Alpha level healing, when compared to Wolverine. Though that may be simply because she has only adamantium on her claws compared to Logan’s entire skeleton, which poisons him and occupies/suppresses his healing factor.

How did they get Magneto out of Genosha without anyone seeing? I’m feeling like there might be mutant turncoats that helped pull the attack off and handed Magneto over and Leech might have been used to pull it off.
The older I get, the more the X-men frighten me. As a kid I thought “yeah they’re so cool! Kick their asses!” Now I think “this is exactly what anti-mutant groups want to see. It fuels their agenda and provides a false narrative that they are the good guys- which they aren’t.”

People love watching Rouge showing off her flight/strength/speed. But it always makes me think “you stole those powers from Carol Danvers, along with all her memories”. I know Rouge has done much to redeem herself, but I’m slow to forgive a violation like that.
Maybe it’s just me.
