I ran into this video because I’m trying to find out more info on paying taxes as a Twitch affiliate. I have one major question about it: if I make $0-$100 within a year, do I have to file? I don’t want to pay a tax person to file absolutely nothing.

It really is my consistency, I need to be posting more regularly, this video got swept into RUclips's algorithm which helped crank up the views but I don't post often enough to grow with subscribers! I have however started to work hard on a bunch of new series to post over the summer in a batch format so I can post more regularly :)
d_wild _son Once you’ve achieved affiliate status you will maintain it month to month even if you don’t meet the same goals the next month. Obviously, breaching TOS or getting banned may result in the loss of affiliate. You may also lose it if you are deemed an “inactive streamer” which would only really happen after 12 months of inactivity.
d_wild _son yeah, you need to achieve the affiliate status, meet all the goals and join the program, and then once you’ve done that, you’re in and not meeting the goals won’t get you removed. But yes, you do need to get into the program first! :)

I hit 50 followers today and got a tone of people watching my stream. I achieved an average of 5.1 viewers according to the email they sent me. But the averages and my fallowed count stayed the same. It didn’t update my stats in the email. How will i know when I hit affiliate??? The email said I still had 43 followers. This is how I know it didn’t update. It did show my actual stats from the stream. I hope that made sense. TLDR how do I know I hit affiliate?

Does anyone know the reason or the solution to it? I don't have any adblockers on my browsers plus none of my viewers can see ads as well. Please help me if possible.

The 30 days is a rolling average, so it will always take into account the last 30 days rather than each "month". Does that answer the question?

It's the average viewers from the hours you streamed within the past 30 days.

The split is 50/50 with twitch, so you’ll get half of the sub value! :) hope that answers the question!
