Then they had CuJo, and a strong of other great goalies, but now they've got Conner Mac and co, they've got Skinner who's a solid goalie, but unless you give him an Elite defense, solid isn't gonna cut it in the playoffs when a team can learn a all a solid goalie's flaws and exploit them.

Goaltending and making the most of your chances was the difference here. The Canucks have nearly anyone who's not named Makayev can snipe one past any goalie at any time, and a blueline that's helping out on offense while still keeping their own zone responsibilities.
Silovs made several great saves that took sure goals away from the Oilers, while Skinner only stopped the ones he should stop, nothing more, nothing less. The Oilers need McDavid, Draisaitl and Hyman to be on their game and not getting snake bit or their sunk, while the Canucks can get their scoring from nearly anyone (except Makayev, he's just not allowed to score even if he is still playing good hockey).

What is funny is hearing those who have suddenly changed their minds and said this will be a battle. It was always going to be a battle given what happened through the season plus the talents on both teams. You can't just explain away the lopsided season head-to-head with excuses, which is what most "experts" did LOL As I've always said, TRUE hockey fans want good hockey no matter who is playing.

Canucks have been badly outplayed the last 2 games...2nd and 3td period they have been hanging on for dear life...5 goal posts, 1 called back goal and Ryans stick being grabbed is a LOT of lucky breaks...the officiating has been disgusting...AFTER Tocchet whined about the refs for 5 days BEFORE the series even began ...he goes out and sends his GOONS to target Draisaitl's back starting in game 1...and now it's Mcdavids lower back...this is garbage Hockey.

@@algrundau9441 Had to grab Ryan's stick, lest he use it to spear someone in the testicles. It's playoff hockey. You do something as stupid as he did in game 2, you're not going to get the benefit of the doubt in that game or in future games. I know you're arguing for more powerplays since that's Edmonton's best chance to take the series since scoring 5v5 has proved too much for them.
