True , skovak team did not field great players. Especially goaltender hlavaj, but after match with Latvia he deserves rest.
On top of that one of good players got injured in 1/3

Finland with liiga players crushed swedens best NHLers in 2019 and its gonna happen again in this qf. Finland is so far ahead in hockey that their players from euro leagues is much better than swedens best players from NHL.

Where is this myth coming from? Finland beat a very heavy NHL squad in 2019 but other than that we always trash them with NHLers. Do some research.
Also we have 13 golds in total. Finland has 5.
They are the lil sis then, now and forever.
That Sweden Squad is very very Good and Super Fun to watch because how easy they make it look with that puck movement and how they put a damper on each teams game plan no matter How the opposition approaches the game. Any International Hockey gets me excited though

Im finnish and i think Sweden is going to mop the ice with our players. We will need all the luck we can get to win the QF.
As a Swede, I say: don't give up, of course our national team has won without getting carried away. But derby is always a derby, think your players will be tagged. There are always fun and special matches between us. But the match must also be played and in a quarter of an hour anything can happen. I hope we can win the WC after a few years of drought. Finland has been really good in recent years, but now I hope it's our turn
we havent had any of our good players for years, last time we had any good players we won the cup. been a bad trend last 8-10 years with players not wanting to play.

I feel this was our best game yet in the tournament. Everyone did their job, passes were mostly on point, and it showed that everyone were eager to play and had a lot of fun. Here's hoping it continues this way! To be honest though, Slovakia were coming in hard for at least the first two periods, so I was surprised it didnt end in more goals for them. They had the speed for sure, but had some difficulties finishing - a lot of shots off target. Anyway, good game well played Slovakia!
I haven’t seen us play this good for a long time as we have done in this tournament The Slovakian goal was beautiful but my god we played good. I know the finns will be a tough and close game. It always is

Good luck Sweden in you hunt for the gold!!! I'm a Finn and naturally hope that we'll win the QF match, but the FIN team has performed horribly and is the worst for many years. Anyhow I'll support our brother nation Sweden if we lose at the QF

I don't think that's true at all. They probably have houses in Sweden which they stay in every now and then when they visit family and friends but I seriously doubt many come back to live here permanently. They probably stay in USA or move to Switzerland or Monaco or whatever. Sweden isn't what it was 20 years ago unfortunately. Back then I think it was way more common to move back to Sweden permanently.

it was painful for me to watch but it is what it is. Today Sweden was the better team on the ice and Our boy's gave up. Understandable that they want to spare some strength but common Man 6:1.?! congrats Sweden well played

I would rather we not play Finland just yet in the tournament. It’s gonna be close, but I think we’ll eke out a win. And hey, if you’re going for the medals your gonna have to win against teams like Finland sooner or later anyways - we might as well get it over with.

Смотря все игры, сборной Швеций ,хочеться увидеть в финале Швеция -Канада, ну Швеция на этом чм просто супер зрелищные красивые матчи, уничтожает всех, для нее все слабые, но против такой сильной сборной, Қазахстан выглядел достойно, по счёту по игре на мой взгляд. Желаю Шведам победы в остальных матчах, и увидеть в финале с Канадой.

Sweden v Finland will be an interesting QF for sure, but I doubt Sweden can handle the pressure as the main favorites. Its has never been their strongest suit to be the main fav overall. They should beat the finns, but never underestimate the SISU.

The moment we lost our great player to injury, I knew we would lose.
We also did not have our legendary goaltender hlavaj , and in the end this match was already meaningless to us as we already had ensured advancement.

Meaningless or not, you should still play for pride. You sound a bit like the sh*t teams in the NHL willing to tank a whole season because there's no negative consequence and the consolation/participation prize for making sure you're the worst is first pick on top talent next year. Play for the pride atleast!
