@@Ts-bn6my I looked at a list of every single song on this game, and its easier for me to count the ones I wouldn't listen on repeat than the ones I would. My 5 favorites though are 1. Mining Melancholy, 2. Forest Interlude, 3. Stickerbrush Symphony, 4. Lockjaw's Saga, 5. In a Snowbound Land

This is a hack of the SNES versions of the game and the original NSFC version of the game honestly did not have that many changes in it besides the language, and on screen text of said language, in that version of the game.
The assets in some of the earlier levels look kinda weird. But the later stages look really cool.
Buenos recuerdos los que fuimos de esas epocas y tubiera que elegir que DK era mejor de los 3 para mi (mi opinion) fue este DK2 su música me enamoró ademas encontre que es mas difícil que el DK3 para mi ya que las etapas de este eran más fácil que el DK2 pero en general los 3 DK son buenos pero el preferido es el DK2 nunca me aburro de jugarlo y si esta este hack sera un gran reto ya que el juego me lo paso en 2horas y media y no se cuanto tardaria el Hack. ¡Gracias al que hizo esta versión!
The only level design I'm not crazy about is Waste Water Walk, just because of background layer still being volcanoes but now they look like they're full of a weird green lava. Didn't think Crocodile Isle was THAT polluted. XD
Looking back I used to play this same game but on the GameBoy version called Donkey Kong Land 2.
Never had a SNES so instead I went with the GameBoy version as that was all my parents could afford when I was a kid.
Amazing game as always and a reminder of how much I miss the days when RARE used to be with Nintendo.
Yeah, Rare was my favorite too, I even liked some of their games better than Nintendo. Pretty much all their games are 9 - 10 / 10
DKC L2 was basically the exact same game as the snes. 3 and 1 were different at least

Some of the background tiling looks incorrect. That must mean that Rare really must've had to do the work to tile everything properly in the vanilla game. Interesting :)
I think the first game and the third game should have a rom hack called the lost levels as well that would make sense for another trilogy who agrees ?

I wish I could play hacks. This is harder than the original, yet it’s not a kaizo. It really is to the original game what SMB2 is to SMB1.

Can say with every ounce of my being that the level “Swamp Scramble” (42:50) is without a doubt the single worst gaming experience of my life. Seriously, it’s fucking psychotic. It took me at least 500 tries and about 5 hours to beat this piece of shit level. (Not to mention it glitches like a MFer ) Whoever designed that level definitely has something wrong with them, and I hope seeks treatment. Pretty damn good game other than that

Is it just me or are some of the sound effects very off!? Is this an outdated emulator? I'm pretty sure SNES9X emulates all sound correctly. It never used to, though.
I remember SNES9x having weird sounds with Mega Man X, particularly the charged buster shots and boss hit sounds.
as far as I know, each level theme loads a different set of sounds. So if some sound doesn't exist in the level it sounds off.
I'm watching this to see how he passes the levels so I can do the same because the game is a bit complicated... 🤡

They were bought by Microsoft back in 01/02 I think. Nintendo still own the rights to most of their creations though 🤷🏻♂️

I'm no game programmer but those levels look notoriously bad, all of the items and stuff to get in the level is cranked up so close it feels bad designed
Yeah! Like a parallel world with other colors, green lava and other stuff.
I played it. You're right its not fun game. It looks really nice but level design is very bad. If you want to play a good hack I recommend DKC2 Unveiled. It can be pretty difficult but level design is still good. Another fun hack I can recommend is "ma ryu sdk2". It's very Kaizo so it requires a lot of save states, but it does some very interesting things with the game.
