I note that y'all are wearing wide open pants when y'all are doing the lawn work. If you want to avoid the chiggers, ticks, and the like, I suggest you tuck your pants into your socks as you work or put on some high boots and spray them with repellent. Also, I strongly recommend, given how wild that place has been, that y'all inspect yourselves every evening in a mirror or with your partner to make sure you haven't picked up any hitchhikers. Good luck, y'all. I've done work like that on our own home and property. It's a challenge, but once you're done, it truly feels like yours. I have truly enjoyed watching your channel through the years and appreciate you sharing your lives with us.
Spray everything with chemical for chiggers… all the open grassy spaces. It’s the one time I say use the hard stuff even when I buy organic everything.
@@ytvideos3382 absolutely. Lyme, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, STARI. All tick borne diseases that will ruin your health if not caught in time. My uncle has them all and has to drive out of state once a month to see a specialist in Mobile, Alabama for iv treatment because he almost died before they figured out what was wrong with him. Be safe and congrats on your new house.
You made a huge difference already. Just getting all the junk out of the way makes it look so much more like a homestead. Im so happy for you starting a new adventure! Also, I love watching the progress as time goes on and everything is livable again. Thank you for bringing us along with you!❤
Hey ya'll, there's a service called dumpster crushing. There is a company I know of out of San Antonio, and I thunk there might be one in Seguin, but they're called Crushr. And they come and smash what is in your dumpster giving you more space. Than you can use the space more efficiently.
At least you guys got the grossest part out of the way and can move on to the next step gutting the place. Can’t wait to see what you do next. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like a Dual 506 semi-automatic, belt drive turntable. Featured a low mass cartridge and head shell. I still have mine which I purchased in 1982. It works okay but needs a new belt and has a bit of wow in the motor. On my to-do list to get working 100%. That way, I can get back to playing my vinyl!
I was the 3rd owner of a 150-year-old house. I found the coolest things, like the newspapers lining the drawers, a pair of Victorian shoes buried in the yard, and jars full of little 100-year-old objects like marbles, keys, buttons, and coins. It's like living in a museum. Have fun.
It’s so unimaginable to imagine someone just relieving themselves of responsibility by tossing something behind the shed. You guys are doing a great job and there are few people who have the vision and audacity to take things on like you two. It will come with great rewards! Just looking at the renovation of your rv knowing all the fun you would have with it in the future, this will be same same. Yay type 2 fun!
You all did a great job at cleaning that place out, but did you feel a little sad about the photo albums, medals and personal effects left behind? Such a shame, but I guess they could have taken them with them when they left. This is shaping into a fantastic series!
I love the new direction your channel has taken. I can't wait to see what you do on the property ❤ in your recent Van life travels i have sensed you were getting very tired of the traveling, like it was a chore rather than fun. A break will get you back to loving it again. Especially if you have a base now for a bit of a break when you need it.
the little things that amuse us, i cracked up when you showed Brian melted on the porch , i found it so funny. fabulous video guys , cant wait to see more.
Good way to keep the biting critters off you when clearing out overgrown yards/field areas is to wear pantyhose, and yes even you Eric! It keeps the ticks and chiggers from getting to your skin, bit make sure to check for ticks that have either crawled all the way up your clothes to get above the hosiery or have dropped down on you from tall plants and trees! Definitely spray DEET on your clothing especially around the ankles and waistline and any open areas like the neck, wrists etc, and reapply every so often to your legs/ankles if your walking through a lot of tall grass and weeds doing clearing out.
Have to say, every time you start a project it seems daunting and a bit overwhelming but, again you've proven you have talent for knowing how to organize and get things done. Also it's awesome you take advice from your followers. Even though you are very busy you both look happy and well rested. We so look forward to your next video! Take Care and Work Safe.
Yaaaay guys, what a great start, great to have some help isn't it! My father passed last October & I had to clear out 15 years worth of stuff in just 10 days as the landlord wanted it cleared ASAP I'm currently waiting for a double hip replacement and my brother lives quite far away and has mobility problems too so thankfully my wife and two adults sons really pitched in above and beyond the call of duty to help get it done in time! Really looking forward to this next chapter of the Endless Adventure Y'all. Best wishes for the Scottish side of the pond!👍♥️🇺🇸🏴
Back in the 70s, our church camp was full of chiggers ....mom.was camp nurse and gave us cream of tarter pills to chew up. The cream of tarter gets deposited on your skin and Chiggers don't like it so they won't bite you. (I don't remember the dosage..feels like one wafer every morning. And you can use alcohol on those bee stings to take the sting out. (Not to be confused with the stinger 😅) Happy adventure!
Congratulations on your first home! I'm so excited for you two and cannot wait to watch your journey. I have dreams of doing something similar but out in Albania so let's see! 🤞
The house has so much potential and it's already starting to look so much better! I hope you're saving the big silver CRT TV. It really is the best for those old gaming consoles and they're not cheap to replace as many of those old TV's have been dumped or are broken now.
As owner of 10 acres, I feel all your pain haha! And the yellow jackets are sooo bad this year!! Bees only die when they sting because our skin is so tough it rips them in half. Yellow jackets, wasps, and hornets don't have such issues so they will just keep stinging. SUCH jerks lol! Great progress on the house! SO nice having a few extra hands!
It was strangely satisfying watching you guys do all that hard work and watching the rooms get cleaned out! Kinda like the show Hoarders, but better. I bet it felt real good to get showered and cleaned up after that!
Congrats on purchasing this property! A little tip on the electric mower...if the bag is full it will stall in the taller grass. If it still stalls after emptying bag then your battery needs charging.
That hifi set looks like a pretty decent outfit if you can get it to work. Plug in some speakers and see what happens! But most of the other "treasures" look like they should be "buried treasure"!
I live in Australia and have no idea what that bird was on the roof. Could you please tell me. We recycle beer cans, etc, for 10 cents each. You would have been rich. Xx. Massive job. Well done you all xxoo😊
Looks like hard work, but also so satisfying to watch! Y'all should be really proud of what you're accomplishing there, seeing that place turning from a dump to an ALMOST liveable space is heartwarming... Looking forward to seeing the rest of the renovation, I hope you'll be able to save at least some of the stuff and the buildings!
I’ve seen previous travel vids of yours… Just luv you !!! Hope that you TWO get along as well off camera !!! lol… I just subbed bcuz of this video… Can’t wait to see your progress…
Hey there! We’re happy you have a new home now. You need a couple of goats to help take care of the yard work, and you need some chickens to help eat all the bugs. They love ticks and chiggers.
Sooo excited for you guys! Love watching this! Was just thinking earlier today, “I’m sooo looking forward to the next Allison and Eric Endless Adventure video of their new house!” So cool I’m here while this journey is going on. When I found your channel I went back and binged your build of Ol’ Clemmie. Haha sorry just to call her that. So happy for you two to own a house!
Such an exciting new adventure! I’m already enjoying this. Looking forward to all your discoveries and watching you turn this rough stone into a diamond. As far as the remains go: If there is a full name on it, I’d maybe try to locate family to return to. If no name, I’d just bury it in a really pretty spot on the property and put a nice little marker. Congratulations on all you’ve done so far!
It’s really fun watching you two putting down some roots! You’ve got a beautiful piece of land to love and grow with! The land is happy you are there to care for it and the animals are curious about what the heck is going on! Lol Best wishes on your new adventure! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
I remodel kitchens and bathrooms in Missouri but I’ve been hired to fully gut and then tear down many flooded trailer homes over the years. Your video is giving me flashbacks. Keep up the good work.
Pro tip with the record player is that it will work with our modern equipment but you have to get an adapter to plug the electrical cord on the record player so it’s electrically compatible with todays electrical systems. The older players used less electricity than today’s models.
Great content. I'm waiting for you to get a compact tractor. That claw-foot tub may be a find. I think you can get reproduction feet, and get the outside sandblasted and refinished. The inside porcelain may be OK or it can also refinished.
Wow, that's hard work! Especially in the Texas heat. I knew dumpsters would be your best friend. The best and immediate treatment for wasp sting is dampened tobacco. Dampen a wad and press it on. It really works.
Really ❣️ your enthusiasm. I agree with y'all, put a house up on that knoll where the view is spectacular. Been following for a few years and am so excited to see what is in store for y'all and all of us who will watch. Good luck
Thank you, enjoyed watching the process of your cleanup. I enjoy watching these new adventures, like I enjoyed your travel adventures. Yout both make it worth the while.
The big ribbon flowers are called "Mums" (or "Homecoming Mums").... It's a Texas High School thing. Rather than being an award for anything, all the kids buy/make them to show school spirit.

I would bet the urn was the ashes of a family pet. Probably a dog based on the "my best friend" inscription.
My thought was dog as well.
He needs to be put in a river..most dogs love swimming
It could be but could be a loved one would be nice to scatter
I thought the same thing
You've made such a difference already. Awesome you had help. Sweet family!
So proud of you two! Property is never a loser investment. You'll reap the benefits of your work.
This 1st installment was ace. So looking forward to the months ahead!
The wasp emits a pheromone that alerts the rest of the nest. Take a shower and wait a day. Spray adhesive works pretty well to ruin the nest.

All I can say is WOW! I don’t know of many people who would attack such a huge project. Good luck a d stay safe!
I don't know why it's so fun to watch people clean out hoarder spaces.....but it's especially fun to watch you guys do it. Thanks for the video!
Fun?
