Journalists hammer Boris Johnson at Downing Street press conference: ruclips.net/video/7MU6SdFZd_8/видео.html
Speaker slides on a greasy pole, parliament slides on an embarrassment of hyperbole and nonsense such that the average voter has no clue (or inclination and will pick up the Daily Mail et al, TV) to understand. This is the stuf of soap operas and yet you merely stick it out there as if it's the norm whilst our nation continues to be shafted by policitians from both sides of the house.
Professor emeritus Robert Paxton said :-
"A form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion."
That might look like a description of the Johnson government and brexit but it is Paxton's textbook political science definition of Fascism.
@@martinwyke Irony is, I left out fascism this time for want someone with a better analogy step up.
It wasn't the first time Boris was hammered in public.

What a fine speaker we currently have. He sees his duty is to the whole house and is to be applauded.
Only decent one in the lot of them
Word.
Bercow was better!!! Orderrrrrr
He is the worst speaker we have had in decades. Johnson has been lying to the HoC for years and the speaker calling him up on it is as rare as rocking horse poop.
I’m not saying the current speaker is the best although I think he is very good. When first elected, some thought he’d be a pushover, being a loyal conservative, but the role is one where people grow and he, like Bercow, although less aggressively, is determined to run parliament for all parliamentarians and if not a puppet of this dreadful government. And that’s not easy with ministers consistently first announcing plans to the media.
At 8:35. The Speaker" "I'm sure Downing Street wouldn't let the members of this House down." Almost breaks into a laugh.
@Where's Walshy Mga bwisit hanggang dyan lang ba kayo? Magrally ng rally bakit hindi kayo magbanat ng buto, nakakahiya kayo
Why aren't the police waiting for him outside? There's plenty there whenever you walk past downing street. What are they doing? Hes broken the law, that's apparent, where is justice? Members of the public either followed the rules or didn't and got fined up to £10000. Why aren't the police doing their job?
Where did he break the law? He wasn't at the alleged party.
I realise facts are irrelevant to you but the Police tend to rely on them.
@@1chish there's reason to suspect he's guilty of aiding a crime (a party) by offering his residence (his flat). Police are allowed to take suspects into custody without proof as long as they're released or punished accordingly once substantial information has been gathered. you're right the police do rely on facts, if you'd done the same, you wouldn't have made the mistake of implying that police need to find someone guilty before they can arrest someone

@@neilg6675 Wow? It was just a statement of fact.
What did Starmer say about people who are currently being prosecuted at Westminster magistrates for hosting parties last Christmas.

I actually like this Speaker. He doesn't mess about and snaps back at them early. Respect. Don't agree with everything he says, but... he gets stuff done and doesn't take any crap...
I agree - Hoyle is also not narcisstic like Bercow was
@Where's Walshy Totally agree. Career politicians are the problem. Gone are the days of people actually caring about their ideals. Now they grow up thinking "I can make a mint just by smiling and talking .... badly". We need "proper" politicians back - people who actually care. I did care for Scracrgill -just for standing his ground. definitely had no time for Mrs T - BUT - both kicked arse and got stuff done. THAT I have respect for. This current crop of drop-heads? Nothing, on either side. We need strong leadership against both Russia and America - and given our absolutely stupid departure from the EU, we also need leadership there too. China and India are climbing into the boat.... We need leaders to ACT. I know its late but... I think TM may be the right person. She was given a raw deal over Brexit. And I'm Labour. But I think TM may have the experience to pull us through.

It appears as though the Conservative leadership's contempt for Parliamentary procedure has caused Sir Lindsey Hoyle to take a view similar to John Bercow..
Surely nobody could sink that low!
And rightly so.
John Bercow was a Conservative before he had to contend with Bozo the Clown.
